Hello everyone
Thought I'd pop in to check up on you all, good to see everyone is fine and the babies are all thriving. I've missed you, you know.
I am doing OK, some days I have a funny moment (mainly when confronted with a pg lady that I wasn't prepared for) but otherwise I'm happy enough getting on with things. It feels kind of surreal really, like it didn't happen, like it wasn't me. The mind is very good at playing tricks it seems to keep us sane.
Good things to focus on -
1. Going to visit my sister in Singapore in June
2. The fact the the 4 pg ladies at work are about to start going on maternity leave so I won't have to see then
3. Summer is coming
Oh yeah, and our 3 frosties, not that I have very high hopes for them to be honest...
Back soon
:D Kathryn x

Kat,

It sounds like you are finding your way. It is hard. I was so upset last time that I really had a tough time feeling depressed. I still have a hard time around pregnant people. I totally understand.

I am gearing up for my next try. I have my baseline u/s on Thursday and if it looks ok and the bloodwork is ok I will start meds next week. I am really excited but nervous. This month's AF has been so abnormal, I wouldn't be surprised if the doctor finds cysts. Just keeping my fingers crossed!

Well, I did my baseline sonogram and the doctor found a small cyst on one of my ovaries. She said that we could proceed if my estrogen levels aren't elevated. They will call me this afternoon with the results of the blood work. Has this happened to anyone else? I am praying that I don't have to cancel my cycle but am scared to proceed with a cyst.

Well, my doctor just called and my bloodwork looks fine so we are going ahead with this cycle! I am very excited and nervous. I start meds next week around the 20th. Anyone else on the same schedule? Last time I did really well and had 4 embryos but the lab lost (threw out) three of them by accident and the one remaining didn't stick. I am hoping that this time I have at least the same number to work with and that I can transfer multiple embies- and hope the lab doesn't screw up. What are the chances of that, right?!?

Geckogirl:

That is great news!! Maybe you will have more than 4 embies this time. My first IVF yielded 3 eggs at retrieval. My 2nd IVf, using the exact same protocol, yielded 12 eggs at retrieval.

Kat: It is good to hear from you. Don't give up on your frosties. Didn't Anna get pregnant from her DE frosties? We will be thinking of you.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hi Ladies, just thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is doing.

Kat, please hang in there. There are plenty of success stories with ladies using frosties. Keep up the PMA, hugs to you xx

Geckogirl, wishing you loads of luck with this cycle. I had a cycle cancelled due to a cyst, and a cyst aspirated so we could continue a cycle. I know how frustrating they can be.......well done you for getting this far.

Tammy, hope all is OK with you and Andrew. Are you getting more sleep now? Oh and just to let you know , we didn't use frosties. We had to start a fresh cycle second time round.

Yasmina , glad to see you and Eloise are well. Using a potty already. Wow, I am impressed!

Hi to Bev and Wills, hope all is Ok with you. xx

Sonix, good news about your tmt. Hoping all goes to plan for you.

Thank you to all who posted messages of congrats to me and Matthew. We are doing fine. He is 3 weeks old today. He still feeds at varying times during the day and night, sometimes every hour sometimes every 3.... so no routine as yet! He is growing by the day and getting more interested in what is going on around him. I am loving (nearly) every minute.

Sending hugs to all lovely ladies here, look after yourselves
Bye for now

I said to myself I wouldn't come on this site for a while but it seems I can't keep away
Geckogirl - good to see things are progressing, looking on the bright side it has to go smoother than last time for you :D

Good things today in my world :

1 pg lady is leaving work today, 3 to go
The sun is shining
It's nearly the weekend
I have lost 13lb
And, of course, seeing Sarah's news - it seems a very, very long time since we cycled together :D Just goes to show it can happen. :D

Just a quickie as I forgot to say before but I decided to sponsor a child through a charity and have had the details through of a lovely little girl, who lives in a very poor area of Ecuador, who is to be my sponsored child. They have sent me a photo and I can write to her and she may send pictures or have someone write to me on her behalf as she is only 3 years old. I am hoping it will be a rewarding and learning experience for both of us and that I can help her grow up healthy and with a better chance in life.

Anna you sound so happy with baby Matthew...enjoy the Bliss!!!

Kat- good on ya for sponsoring a child...she sounds lovely. I was in the tesco checkout queue the other day and when it came to my turn the cashiers changed. Who did i get but a 7 month fully preg cashier!!!! :? I had to smile...you can never run away from your feelings can you! It takes guts to face what you/others and I have gone through. It hurts but there is still Hope. Gail on the Pheonixes Rising was given a 2% chance using a frostie with no meds. She had that 1 frostie transfered last year and now is a proud Mum with 3 wk old baby Katie. Keep the Faith Kat...you never know whats round the corner. Well done on losing 13lbs 8) :D 8)

Gekogirl- wishing you a bumper cycle of follies and eggs Honey

Sonia Am still getting info on clinics. have you finialised your yet???

Bev hi to you and Wills
Yasmina hi to you and Eloise
Tammy Hi to you and Andrew

And hi to everyone else i have missed out on personals... x x x

Adam and i had our wedding party last week and it was fantastic. We had 83 guests and many nephews and nieces. It was lovely. a truly memorable day and night. The champagne was flowing. we are now saving up for our donor Egg cycle and i am looking at clinics nearer home.
I know it will all come together when i need it too.
Trying hard to keep the Faith and Hope alive.Keep telling myself it WILL happen.

thank you all for the inspiration x x

love jen

Hi,

I am still awaiting AF so I can start stims. I am really hoping the cyst I had is going away too... I thought the second time around would be less stressful but I am oh, so anxious! Anyone else in the same place?

geckogirl, I also had a dominant egg once and I had to cancel that cycle which upset me quite bit, because it delayed one more month! I hope your hormone level is ok, no E2 spike so that you can go ahead to move on. I also would like to share with you that I had never had AF after lupron in all 3 cycles, I went ahead start stim anyway. My RE said it is not necessary to have AF after down-regulation. Good luck on your new cycle!

Jen, Tammy, and everyone who recently posted, thanks for asking Eloise. She is changing everyday but I really need time which I have too little to write about her.

Geko Girl

hang in there Honey.

Being all stressed doesn't help... but it sounds like it could be PMT. Hope Af comes soon and that your cyst has dissapeared so you can start stimms.

Do you have to get bloods done before you start stimms????

love jen
