Thanks for all the support! I think I am just anxious because this is probably the last try with my own eggs. Additionally, my husband is a firefighter and fire season is coming so if it doesn't happen now we will have lots of scheduling issues since he works lots and lots during the summer. My RE did prelim bloodwork and my E2 level was only 41 which is good. She said it needed to be under 50 to continue so they don't really think the cyst will cause any problems. I should be able to start stims tomorrow or Friday and my first follie check will be the 23rd. I guess I just need to keep a PMA! Thanks.

Hi all

Just popping in so you don't think I've deserted you all...

Geckogirl - hope you get to start soon - the waiting is horrid once you've got yourself all geared up for it.

Jen - hope married life is agreeing with you :D

As for me, I have booked my flight to see my sister in Singapore in June so am getting excited for that now. And I was slimmer of the week this week at my slimming group!! I got a certificate!! How funny is that!

Hi to everyone
Lots of love

A word of warning - if you are in an open plan office and have the volume turned up on your PC, don't click on the link from this site to the Natural Fertility cure.com or you will get a lady shouting out for all to hear "Welcome to the Natural Fertility Cure dot com"

Luckily it is lunchtime and half the people are out but I still had to waffle on about 'these annoying pop ups" to make it look like it came up by mistake

That'll teach me!

Hey Again to all-

Just the FYI on leaving me job. I kind of had a psychotic break one day in january...stress of keeping secrets from co-workers about getting reproductive treatments...hormones....natural anxieties...so, when the dust settled a bit, it became clear to me and my supervisore that I just shouldn't be working there's no more....oh and it was at this point I ended the secret which was quickly followed an ear full of judgement....after working in the place for near eight years, I have had alot of stufff to get in order and although it is not in tip top shape, it will have to do...

it's hard being here the last month as I've become a transparent ghost...I'm here physically but no one talks to me....

That's the news. So I'll be home for awhile....and if all works out for us....maybe my new career will be motherhood 8)

I'm extremely confident in my decision here. So cross fingers for evryone's good luck and fortune :D

Cheers,

Catherine - I am sorry to hear about your job situation. It is so hard to go somewhere everyday where you aren't happy. Hopefully you will find something you like to do and people who are supportive.

I started stims last Thursday and had my first scan yesterday. My cyst is gone and she saw 13-14 follies! That is lots more than I had on day 5 last cycle. I am soooo stoked! For someone my age it is really positive to have that many. I know that not all will mature but it is a good start. I have another u/s tomorrow to see their growth and than again on Firday. I am hoping for retrieval maybe next Monday. I keep hoping and praying that at 43 I can still get my little miracle........

Hi all, just popped in to catch up with everyone.

Geckogirl, good luck with your stimming, that is a great number of follies, as you say. Fingers crossed that the majority come through for you.

Jen, great to hear your news. Glad you have finally decided upon a clinic, I am sure that IM will look after you. We visited Barcelona last spring on our "looksees" and had a lovely stay - it's a great city. I will be looking forward to hearing how things progress for you.

Hi Catherine, so sorry to see that work is such a *****. The people you have been working with don't seem to be worth bothering about if they are going to judge you - I cannot abide judgemental jerks!! It must be rough having to still go in to work if no one is talking to you, but a month will soon pass and you can walk away and never think of them all again. Good luck with whatever route you decide upon.

Hi Kat, wow, I could never "win" slimmer of the week, goodness knows I tried for long enough. Oh well, I guess it will be that time again for me soon, once I stop breastfeeding, I will have to think about my weight again. Well done you, you will feel really good about yourself having shed a few pounds or more.

Just an update for Jen on my precious little Wills. At his last weigh in (last Wednesday) he tipped the scales at 11lb 8oz's. That is exactly double his birth weight, so I am very happy with the little chubster. He was 12 weeks on Tuesday this week and is changing and developing daily. His eyes are now beginning to change from blue to a more hazel colour, I think they will eventually go totally brown - which would be good as both DH and I have brown eyes! He is totally adorable and still fairly easy to care for, he is just beginning to cotton on that if he cries I will pick him up! Little monkey. Hey ho, spoil him? Not me! Who cares, they are only tiny once and I intend to enjoy every moment with him.

A big hi to all our other "Already Mommies" on this thread, hope Eloise, Andrew and Matthew are all thriving.

Hi to anyone else that might be "listening".

Hi Ladies

catharine...what a dificult time you have had as well a going through ivf. You could do with some time off too! I hope this last month at work becomes easier for you. the stress of being there where you are ignored won't be helping. bg hugs.

gekoGirl- what fantastic news on day 5 to have so many follies forming...Hope they keep growing and all have good quality eggs in them :D So Monday will be Egg collection day...do you get to choose whethere 3 day or 5 day embies???? Good luck honey we are all praying for you and sending tons of baby dust your way :D :D

How lovely to hear from you bev...know it must be difficult as you time is spent so much looking after the 'Chubster'...amazing thing about his eyes changing colour must be wonderful to see all the little changes on a daily basis. Why is it that babies eyes are blue when they are born but change colour???? anyway good to hear the smile in your 'voice' and that your family is well and thriving , 11lbs8ozs!!!

How is everyone else ? hi to ya all...

and how are all the little ones doing???? are they thriving as much as the 'Chubster' Wills ???

love

Hi everyone,

Must be quite a while since I last posted so it really is time I reported back.

Geckogirl – congratulations on your follie count. Good luck with your next scans and keep the good news coming! Sending you lots of PMA. xxx

Catharine – sorry to hear you’ve had such a bad time at work. Only a few more days to go and then you can concentrate on preparing yourself for next steps. Hope all goes to plan with DH’s treatment too. Keep us posted.

Congratulations on your slimming achievements, Kat. Lucky you, going to Singapore. A great opportunity to switch off and relax for a while. By the way, I do like your recent good-things-today-in-my-world list. I tried it out for a few days too and it certainly helps to keep the spirits up.
Have all the pregnant ladies left work now? The pg lady in our department is in the process of distributing all her work and guess who gets loaded with her biggest project? Yep, you guessed it.

Jen, I see from your ticker that you’ve another “party” coming up in June. With all the action for you this year, the time will pass so much faster until start of your treatment. Great to hear you’ve decided on your clinic. I’ve read so many good reports about IM and I do envy you going to Barcelona. Any ideas yet of the time schedule? I hope you will end up with a good, supportive local clinic for pre-tests and scans. Has IM asked for all your previous IVF notes or why do you need those?

We’ve made our clinic decision too. We’ll be going for treatment in Warsaw and already have a first appointment scheduled for mid May. It was a bit of a set back though to find out that their summer break will mean that the transfer probably won’t be before September. :?

DH is just waiting for the last set of results and thanks to my new gynaecologist I’ve got all the necessary tests done already. He’s a specialist in psychotherapy too, so if I end up going a bit crazy at some stage, I won’t even need to find yet another doc!

Bev- what a great little guy you have. Enjoy observing all those little changes and developments… I have a real weakness for brown eyes… DH’s for example.

Hello to all our other new moms – hope all is OK with you and you’ll find time to keep us all posted - and everyone else around on this thread. Look after yourselves.

Love
Sonia

Eloise 2 month

Post by children »

Hi all,

I am trying to catch up things at work, but I do read each of your posters. I will post about your news if I have any 2c worth views.

A quick update for Eloise's 2 month check up today. Our poor girl had 4 different vaccines, 3 intramuscular injections with big needles (my DH said he almost wanted to kill the nurse even though she did her job well) and one through mouth which she spit out more than half of it. She is 5.5 kg and 56 cm (12 lbs and 2 oz and 23 in).

Eloise stopped pooping - we have not seen any dirty diapers since last Saturday. Do any of the new mothers here see this phenomenon in your babies? I am not overly concerned though since Eloise does not show any signs of discomfort. one more pic here since I can not resist. She looks so mature now, she started to laugh with sound!

Take care and have a nice weekend!

Hello Ladies!

Today is my birthday! DH took me out for a nice dinner last night and my parents watched Andrew. He is getting so big! He smiles at me now and I just love it. He was 8 weeks old this past Wed.

Yasmina: Eloise is adorable and getting big. I think Andrew will be over 12 lbs at his 2 month checkup too. How did you get Eloise's picture to attach to your post? I want to attach Andrew's photo. Andrew has not been pooping as much, but still has very loose stools. He grunts and groans when he poops. You would think that he is constipated, but that is not the case.

Geckogirl: That is great news on your number of follicles. We got 12 eggs at our last retrieval.

Catharine: I hope you are doing better.

Kat: Congrats on losing the weight!! I need to lose 5 more lbs to get to pre-pregnancy weight. I want to lose an add'l 15 lbs though.

Bev: Good to hear that you and Wills are doing so well.

Hello to Sonia, Jen, Anna, Lisa and anyone else that I have missed.

Regards,
Tammy

Hi!

Sorry to butt in - I actually pressed the wrong button this time and really didn't mean to look at this thread! (not like usual when I'm just being nosey!)
However - children I caught your post about lack of nappies and just wanted to say I had exactly the same thing with Charlie. In fact he only pooped once every 6 days from about 8 weeks old! Apparently this is quite common in breastfed babies (although less common in bottlefed). I asked the health visitor about it who said as long as he seems fine (he did!) and he's getting plenty of fluids (he was!) then it was fine!
Of course this all changed the minute we introduced solids!!

Anyway - will butt out now!

Thanks Cla, that was comforting to know! Eloise did her business last Saturday which was like some kind of major holiday to us - my aunt almost introduced some fruit juice, I told her not at this age!

Tammy, I copied the image code from photobucket and it came out as a picture instead of a link. Last time was an accident, this time, I intentionally did so to avoid the trouble of surfing through thousands of other photos.

To everyone else, good luck!
