I just got back from seeing RE. Because my prolactin level is up, I'm being postponed until it goes back to normal (being put on meds to lower it). So, now it looks like I won't start until the next AF which will be approx April 25th and start stims on 29th. UHHHGGG!!!!

Hello,
I have been so nervous over all of this... I am excited too.
I am now pondering if we should put back 3 embies instead of 2.
Since I am a slow responder to fertility drugs, would that affect the chances of the embryos growing...in me when I ge tto that point (next week) of course.

I am nervous about the ER!
How do you all stay so calm?? :P

Good evening ladies!

Donna - I'm sure you will do great at ER! I don't remember anything about mine, although DH said I spoke throughout! Try to stay calm - I know easier said than done and totally normal to be worried. I was really scared before I went through mine, but everyone said I would be fine and they were right! I can't help you with the 2 or 3 embies issue - we don't get a choice - the maximum they put back is 2 at my clinic. Have they spoke to you about the risks of multiples? I think there is a higher risk of miscarriage and birth defects because of premature birthing. I think you should get some advice.

Melly - welcome to the group! Image Good luck with this cycle!

Jovigal - I'm really sorry to hear your news! What a bummer! I know it seems like it's ages away, but it won't matter when you hold your baby in your arms. LOL.

Sher8 - wishing you all the best with your FBT - Let us know how it goes when you can! it will be good to share the 2ww together!

Nicolamark - how is the stimming going? Sounds like you have lots of 'movement' down there! It must be making room for all those lovely follies!

Steph, Anie and Jesjes - waiting anxiously to hear how you got on! Image

Jackie - how did the us and bw go? I hope it was cyst free!

Daly - good luck tomorrow - I hope you have lots of nice sized follies! I'm not sure about practicing poas! part of me wants to because it is my birthday the day after official test day, so I figured if I did it a bit early and its a BFN, then I might have gotten over it slightly more by my Birthday. There is also a part of me that wants to wait till after my birthday so I can be blissfully unaware! I think I will wait and see, last time I knew it hadn't worked well before I poas.

Hugs to everyone I have missed!Image

Would love to join the april buddies. I just recently found this cite. It is wonderful. My DP and I just did our first at home AI with fresh sperm. We AI'd last night and will again today and tomorrow. So, I guess that puts us in the TWW window. I am going to go crazy though this. We tried this using a clinic about 6 years ago and had 3 attempts with 2 miscarriages. That is what let us know that I obviously can't carry a baby. So it is now DP's turn. We have a wonderful donor and will be AI'ing as often as we can during this O window. Lots of prayers to you all!

Heres the scoop. The Nurse called me back. Said my estrogen is at 970. They told me to continue the lupron, but not to take the follistim tonight, and tomorrow morning. I am to take the follistim tomorrow night, and then I go back to the Dr's Wednesday morning. I must be responding well that they cut me back on the follistim (and it went from 200 to 150 tomorrow night)?? has anyone gone through that where they reduce or stop the FSH meds???? or maybe I am not responding enough with the Lupron and they want me to be on that longer???I just don't know!!!

Thanks for all of your support and listenting to me go on and on and on!!

Charlie,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I guess since we AI'd yesterday and will again for the next 2-3 days. We could test two weeks from today which would be the 16th. According to our calender she should begin AF on 18th or 19th, if this time doesn't work. So I would say at the soonest on the 16th. HOWEVER, our anniversary is the 14th so I am sooooo sure she will want to test that day. But I am going to try really really hard to hold off until the 16th. PRAY FOR THIS TO STICK!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I am just checking in. I finally started BCPs this weekend. Hooray! My period was super unusual though. I just had spotting on Friday and then nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be concerned? I am hoping that being on BCPs will give me a more normal AF in a few weeks. Anyway, I have my baseline ultrasound and prelim bloodwork on 4/12. If everything is good I will start stims around 4/20. I am really nervous and hoping that round 2 will work!

JesJes - Awesome number of eggs! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Amysharon - yes I think the 14th would be a bit early - you could get a false negative which could ruin your anniversary unnecessarily! Especially if you happen to catch on your last AI go, meaning implantation would be later! I'm not really up on AI - does your DP have to take progesterone now to help support?

Geckogirl - good to hear from you! I hope the BCP's puts your AF right! Good luck with your baseline and bw!

Charlie,
Our journey is a little different than most of this board. Since we are a lesbian couple we really have no fertility issues other than just needing a donor. Thank God! At least we are not aware that DP has any issues. So for us we will be just tracking and timing. Just like a heterosexual couple that just has sex. We just time her ovulation and hope that our timing is right. What is amazing about our situation is that our donor is just about excited as we are so he is willing to donate as often and as many times as needed. So instead of missing the O, we are just giving it a little extra "umph". I actually think we started a day early by doing AI yesterday but I am sure it won't hurt anything as long as we keep AI'ing until we have no +OPK. I am the one that has had the problems getting preg. I am also allergic to the dye they use for the HSG tests, and NOT willing to go through that again! I thought I was going to die. So, since we are doing this at home, DP did not have any of the tests done. Our donor had all the usual tests for STD's and such, but really that is all we have done. Hopefully God is smiling on us and will bless us with a sweet little bundle without having to do many many cycles. I remember how exhausting that was when we were trying for me to get preg years ago. Infertility can certainly cause you emotions to be on a contanstant roller-coaster.

Amysharon - thanks for clearing that up for me! Sounds like you have a great donor. I hear zinc is good for sperm - especially if he is donating everyday!
I really hope it works for you!
