Jovigal I am like 10 mins from springfield Va What part of TN are you in? While I have never lived there I was born there in Johnson City. The hosoital that I was born in is now a retirement home.

Sophie - Yeah I had nurse show me my chart and at day 9 last cycle I had 19 countable all over 15. But hey as DH who is trying to make me feel better said with all the stress of being in hospital and surgery could just be messing with my system.

Will Check back in later Hope everyone is having a great day.

Sophie, you do such a pretty job with the list. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Steph - I'm about 20 min from Johnson City (northeast TN), which is where the clinic is that I go to, C.A.R.S..

QUESTION - so how many embrios will your clinic transfer? At my age, 37, I can opt for 3. You have to be 37 or older for 3. They prefer to do 2 though. If I am blessed with 3 fertilized, I told DH that I would want all 3 transfered. I don't believe they would freeze 1 and I don't believe in just destroying them. What's your thoughts?

Jovigal- Thats too cool... I was born in Johnson City Memorial Hospital .... But have only visitied there twice since birth.
Our clinic has relaxed this time for me.. Our first 2 attempts we did 5day transfers with 2 blasts each time both with BFNs. This time they agreed that I can try a 3 day transfer with 4-5 embies even with me at 33. I wanted a 3 day transfer last time but they made me wait so this time I told them 3 day or I had to go try somewhere else.

Good afternoon girls!

Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Tanya- How are you doing? I missed a lot of posts. Have you already had EC? How did it go?

Jovi- good luck!!

I have had company all weekdend. AF arrived this afternoon so I will call clinic first thing tomorrow and start stimms Tues. or Wed. hopefully. I have injured my toe so I am hobbling around.

I will write more later. I am really tired. need to clean and then lie down with heating pad. AF is not being nice as usual and not responding to tylenol!!

Hello guys

Well I did it and it went well! I guess they were able to get 12 mature eggs. I do not know anything else about the fertilization or anything. I did get an IV lock that is really annoying so that I don't have to be poked for my IV Hespan. I have to go and get it in the morning and then again Tuesday morning. I start my PIO and my suppositories on Tuesday as well. I am pretty sore tonight and I am looking forward to each day getting a little better. Not like I am dying in pain or anything just uncomfortable. I am so excited to see what is happening with my "babies"!!!! They do not distrub them at all after fertilization until day three. They will look at them and see how they are looking and grade them. I will not know when I am supposed to go in-as of right now they are planning on a 5 day transfer on Friday if they all look good on Wednesday. That is what we are hoping for anyway. I can't wait to hear something on how they are doing!!! My bbs are very sore from the high estrogen levels....Can't hardly move without soreness...Oh well. If I get my precious little surprise out of the deal then it is worth it right? I will update you when I know more this week.

Sorry it is late. I had a computer problem and had to take it to the shop to get fixed...I am at work.

Jovigal
I can transfer 2 embies. Thats it and they get bent out of shape about that! I am 31 and I guess they like to do only one but I at least want two!!!

Will do more personals later....Hope that you are all well!

Jenn – welcome to the stimming club – you are on your way

Tanya – Congratulation on getting 12 mature eggs – your little ones will be busy doing their thing and starting to grow into your little babies. Remember to take it easy and enjoy the excitement.

Jovigal – They will only let us transfer 1 embryo (I wish they would let us do 2) because there is only a 2% difference in their success rates with 1 or 2 embryo’s for people under 35 (54% v 52%) . Only one more sleep for you to go until EC yippie !!!! Fingers crossed your LH stays down.
The yard sale was ok – we moved last year, we did a couple before we sold our house and they went really well. We are down a long drive now so I think that deterred a lot of people. I think I have convinced DH to take every thing left to the goodwill store tomorrow.

Steph. Only one more day to go until EC – I bet you are getting excited

Sophie – Wow the list looks awesome – and there are so many of us there. I was interested to read about the allergy study you mentioned. My sister discovered her daughter has a nut allergy after giving her a little peanut butter to try. A trip to the emergency room and various tests have confirmed she is highly allergic – If you know anything else about this study could you let me know – I think I’ll give up the peanut butter on toast every morning rather than chance it. (I haven’t the heart to ask her if she had nuts during her pregnancy).
I hope you will have a BFP so you won’t have to worry about FET and the costs later in the year.

Shantala – How are you doing?. I hope you are feeling ok. I’m not sure how you are feeling but if you are finding it hard I want to assure you it will get easier. I found it really hard 2-5 weeks after my last treatment and I didn’t know how I was going to manage this round but I turned a corner when I collected my meds and started down regging – it was like the fog cleared and I felt back to normal. I feel better now than I felt the entire time between treatments

Yikes – I just realised I should have had my shot an hour ago !!!!
Ok I’m back again…..

Jolis – all the best tomorrow,

Marsxp – Welcome – I admit to looking at baby stuff and wishing I could buy some of the cute things for our baby. I’ve resisted buying anything for us but I get my fix buying treats for my sisters little 1yr old daughter. I have colours in mind for the baby’s room – but won’t let myself look at any samples until I get a BFP
PS love your cute little puppy

Mandeeq – Welcome, how are the patches going?

Hrobinson – Your story about the keys made me smile - that moment when you realise where your keys are….don’t you wish you could turn the clock back 30 seconds. PS I think you and my DH should get together. I’m love a clutter free home and my DH keeps things for years – just in case.

Sorry I have missed some of you. I hope you all have a good day, Take care.

Good morning guys! :D

I have a few minutes before I have to drive my DH to work (so I can keep the car!). I had an interesting dream last night! My perception of time was altered, but to summarize... I first got a BFN, and then I got a BFP! I was so happy, but I didn't want to tell my DH right away because I wanted to make him a surprise! It was strange to see that doctor write my positive result on a prescription pad! Let's hope it was premonitory.

TansRN: I'm so glad that your EC went as well as possible. Sorry about the IV, though; looks really annoying. I bet OHSS is doubly annoying, though, if not more! ;) Just a few days and it will be gone, sweetie, hang on. I'm so sorry about the pain. Making an IVF attempt makes it all worth it, but I remember very well that this was the most difficult part for me last time. I had itnernal bleeding too, and it really hurt for at least 48 hours straight. Watching TV was the only thing that helped; passive enough, but grabbed my attention and put it away from the pain for a couple of hours. *hugs* Thinking of you here.

arizonakiwi: thank you so much for your kind words; you're the only one who picked up my comment about FET and I'm grateful for that. About the study; it seems that peanuts are targeted, but not nuts in general. The studies I read also mentioned avoiding the topic use of peanut oil (using it on rashes, for example) or any product that has it. Same thing for milk formula that has peanut oil in it. Almost all studies concluded that there is a correlation between mothers who eat peanuts more than once a week during pregnancy (in some cases, they found a correlation for lactation too) and the development of the allergy in the children. However, an important factor is also how early in the kid's diet you introduce peanuts. It's not recommended to do it before the age of 3. I'll give you the references of the articles; you can see for yourself. Either way, do keep in mind that finding a correlation does NOT allow you to conclude to a cause-effect relationship. A classic example is the correlation between the number of churches in a city and the criminality level. The more churches, the more criminality. Are those two variables causally linked? Of course, not. More churches means a bigger city, and bigger cities usually come with higher criminality levels. Bottom line is: I'll ask a doctor and a pediatrician before I start worrying about peanuts, but the studies suggest it's better to investigate the matter further.

Many of these are prestigious journals that don't publish rubbish studies. Several of them were available in pdf format (Acrobat); if you pm me your email, I'll send them to you.

Shantala: I don't know when you'll be coming back from your cruise, but I hope you had a good time! :D Missing you here!

Jenn: congratulations on starting the stimming! Yippee! :D :D :D Grow, follies, grow! I'm sorry that AF is being so mean with you... :( But... should you get that BFP, and I hope you will, you won't have to deal with her again for several months! How's that? ;)

Jovigal: thanks so much! Yes, I think the symptoms are clearing up... *knocks on wood* GOod luck for tomorrow; I'll be thinking of you! *hugs*

Jolis: good luck for your ER today! :D Looking forward to hearing about how many eggies they got! Cheering your DH's little soldiers here!

My2LnT: Good luck for tomorrow sweetie! I'll be thinking of you and I'll be looking forward to having news about your babies! Hang in there! :D

momytobe: haven't heard from you in a while, but good luck on starting the Lupron tomorrow! :D Welcome to the mini-menopause!

Okay, gotta run! I'll update the list when I come back! Take care ladies, and have an awesome day!

Hi everyone

Can i join you all i am in the april board as i had done a fresh cycle but unfortunately that was negative. I am now doing FET normally i would wait the three months but due to immune issues andthe Humeria that i am on and my levels are with in range at the moment the Dr does not want to waste all the money that i have spent. so i am doing a medicated cycle and so far have been dr since the end of april. I had a scan last thur and everything seems quiet so at the moment i am building up my lining. I should have my embryos back on board in about 10 days.

Hope to get to know you all very soon.

Hello Again...

Well I went for my second IV Hespan today and it went well. No big problems to report and I got the fertilization report. 7 embryos growing well!!!! I am so happy about this. It is looking good for me. I am hoping that we will be back in on Friday for our transfer of two wonderful picture perfect embies! They will not look at them again until Wed afternoon when they change the media they are growing in. I can't wait to hear. I hope that I know before the end og the day but she said probably not until Thursday. Thats OK as long as I know what is going on!!! I must know ASAP!!! LOL that is just the controlling part of me. :) Oh I also got a note from the RE to be off of work all week! Woo Hoo I am off until Sunday night I think! That is the best news yet I can live a normal life until then. I am thrilled because I am still sore yet. This way I can just relax through the transfer. That will be great.

Jenn
YEAH! You get to start meds! That is really wonderful! I am so happy for you. It feels so good to do that....like your doing something to move forward.

Steph
I will be praying for you that your eggs catch up to your hormones! LOL i am hoping for the best for you. Come on Eggs GROW!!!! Don't feel too sad a lot can happen in a few days!!!!

Susan
Welcome! Sorry to hear about your BFN but glad that you are here so we can cheer you on for FET!!! Woo Hoo bring on the frosties!

Sophie
Absolutely amazing list! I love it! Thank you for keeping up with that. You are so awesome! I am hoping for good news in light of your wonderful dream! That is so great! It helps reassure you Im sure. I love doing things like that. Lets hope that you can make your dream a reality soon. I appreciate your comments about the bleeding and pain. I am sitting here wondering if it is normal and I can't remember exactly how I was feeling before....Thanks. Interesting information on the Peanut allergy thing. Thank you so much for looking that stuff up. Sorry PIO is Progesterone in oil. I am doing the ethyl oleate version but nevertheless it is progesterone shots!

Angela
You are so right about that enjoying the moment thing. I feel like it is christmas morning and I have already unwrapped all the gifts and I am just sitting there thinking it is over...I just have to keep refocusing that I havent even got my embryos back in yet! LOL

Jovigal
Heres to hoping that things go well tomorrow. I cant wait to hear back from you to see how it goes. I love that stuff they knock you out with! lOL The best nap ever.

hrobinson
You are right about the bloating feeling. It is a weird feeling. You really have no idea unless you have been there before. Strange. I hope so badly that I get a positive. I know we all do. In light of the fact that I go in on Friday I am highly concerned with it. It seems all consuming in my mind right now. OH well I can't do anything with the clock!!!

Take care guys.....
