J&C-- Thanks for the story anyway! Im soooo glad this worked for you!

Well I just got done with my PIO shot. I was really nervous! Luckily my sister is an RN and lives with us. Actually she is going to graduate in 6 wks so close enough. She is going to be a labor and delivery nurse starting June4th (figures). Anyway....I iced the area 5 mins....and I felt nothing! It was really easy. I can feel it a little now, but it wasnt bad! Im glad its over. :D :D

Boluwa: Wow, it sounds like you have a great Beta number!! When do you test again? I know it must be scary that you're cramping, but I hear that is a normal symptom. Maybe it's just your uterus adjusting to your little one!

Neffi: I'm glad the PIO shot went well for you! How long will you be on them? My clinic switches to the suppositories if you get a BFP. Just curious what they told you! How are you doing? Your 2WW is almost up--YAY!!!

Jennie: Welcome! Sorry to hear about your ectopic. I'm sure that was really hard. But...it sounds like you're a trooper and won't give up! You started nasal spray? Is that used to downregulate you? I think it's so interesting how different clinics have such different protocols!! When are they expecting your egg retrieval to be?

J&C : Good luck today!! I'm thinking of you!! I know you have a strong little guy--so your number will be great!! BTW, since I have PCOS too, I was wondering if they recommended or "required" special or additional meds for you. For me, they're just having me take estrace and aspirin (and progesterone, of course)--but that's what they have all of their patients take (regardless of their etiology). I was just curious if we should be doing something different to manage our out-of-whack hormones?

IrishHope: I hear you about the stirring up bad feelings. I feel guilty because I'm avoiding a brunch this weekend with 4 of my girlfriends. One of them has a 18 month old and another is pregnant AND has a 20 month old. I just feel like I'm too fragile to be exposed to all of that right now during my 2WW. It makes me feel like a terrible friend and such a freak. :(

Nothing to report here. Just wanted to say hi!

Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

Good afternoon! Well I just received the fert report and it looks like we have a definite 2 fertilized and another possible one. We were hoping all 5 worked, but we'll take 2 :) They're planning on a day 3 transfer, so we'll find out tomorrow what time we go in on Thursday. I swear this entire process is so nerve-racking, if it's not one thing it's another. I'm just ready to be a part of the 2ww.

I'm trying to work from home today and catch up on everyone, so please forgive me if I missed something.

Boluwa - Congratulations on the beta, that is excellent.

rlk - Don't worry about freaking out, I think we're all just a little on edge these days. I just got back from a massage, hoping it'll help the gigantic knots in my body.

Neffi - The study I'm on calls for progesterone gel, so I feel fortunate that I'm not doing the PIO shots..you're very brave :) I'm sorry to hear your progesterone was low yesterday, but I'm sure the PIO shots will do their job!

Jennie - Welcome to the group.

J&C - Good luck today and let us know how it goes. I'm thinking about you! I also took Femara, but out of 11 rounds of the meds and 9 IUI's, only 1 worked...sort of, it was chemical.

Suzhan - I'm sorry to hear your scan didn't go so well, so I'll be praying for your scan on Friday.

IrishHope - I also understand how you're feeling, it seems like everyone around us gets pregnant by just looking at their spouse. My DH and I talk about this and we both feel guilty for not being as excited for everyone, but we're just a little bitter and really want it to be our turn. You're not a freak, it's completely natural. Good luck with the b/w this Friday, I hope you get to start the meds on Saturday.

Hi DrJen, hope all is well.

I'm pretty freaked out right now. Beta #2 was today, and it is only 140. My first beta, 2 days ago, was 84. So my RE wants to do more b/w in 2 days. I'm so scared that this is going to end up as a chemical pregnancy.

Angram: YAYY!! You will be PUPO with two (or possible three embryos!!!) on Thursday!! Then...you get to join some of us in the dreaded 2WW!!!Let us know how things go these next few days!

J&C: I'm sure this is a scary time, but I think 140 is still a good number. I know people look for their number to double, but isn't it only supposed to increase by 60%? If so, you've surpassed that!! Also, there's such an inspirational story going around on these threads. There is a woman who had "low" Beta numbers in the beginning (after 3 b/w visits) and her doctor told her to give up and stop her meds. She refused to stop her meds and requested an additional test and sure enough her Beta rose exponentially. THEN...she went in for her first ultrasound and the doctor told her to not get her hopes up (I guess because of her "low" Beta numbers) and low and behold SHE'S HAVING TWINS (identical!!). Hopefully, that'll give you some peace of mind. Let us know how you're doing. I'm thinking of you!!

Hey ladies....

J&C-- I am hoping for the best for you! What did they want your beta to be today? I cant imagine that it would rise that much with a chemical pregnancy??? But I dont know anything about it! Good luck!

Rlk1-- How are you doing with the 2ww? Im okay today....but I broke down and POAS about 10 mins ago. It was neg...which I figured it would be....But I think I might be crazy... I was really looking for a faint line, and I saw one, but I think Im just seeing what would be a line if it actually was a positive. Do you know what I mean? So I'll do another one tomorrow. Im only 7dt5dt so its really early.

Hope everyone else is doing well...Irish hope-- sorry about your feeling of jealousy....I just went through it with my best friend! Its the worst!

Ang-- congrats! Those 2 embies will do great! Good luck thursday!

J&C: I just went looking for who that inspirational woman was and saw that she's a member of your original thread. So...I guess you already knew that story. Either way, I'm hoping it helps you through this!!

Neffi: You know what they say, right?!? A line is a line (no matter how faint)!! Let us know (if you want) what the results are tomorrow! I'm going to POAS too---just not sure when. The truth is...I've had such a bad attitude since I got sick the other night. I feel like it didn't work. My DH is so cute--he has such a better PMA than I do (he even says "PMA!" because he knows that we girls say that to each other!). I don't know. Sigh. Maybe I'll get that strong PMA tomorrow?!?

Happy Tuesday yall! Thankfully its over!

DrJen- That is crazy, you are a dentist too! Do you have your own office or are you an associate? I work in public health, so I am pretty much just an employee. I just finished in 2006, so I haven't been practicing that long. Luckily my RE starts appts at 7:30, so I am hoping I will be able to make it to my office in time to have a regular schedule. I am not sure how much information I need to divulge to my director....what do you think? Should I just not say anything? Why do you have to drive to St Louis...is there no RE where you are? Oh, did your RE order the new panel? I have never even heard of it, but I supposed since women are more prone to autoimmune diseases its a good idea.

angram- Like I said, I have heard very positive things about your RE practice. I hope everything goes well for you...at least some of your meds were covered right? I hope all your eggies fertilize!!

Neffi- I am sure you would love to work in my practice....about 80% of my adult patients have crazy ass perio. I like kids, but there is no way I could do pedo...I am not that patient. I work at a school based clinic too so I see my share of kids. Yeah, if you ever want to vent about anything I am here!

J&C- Stay positive!! Try not to stress until you get your next beta done!
Thinking of you!!

Have a Blessed night!!

omg neffi - a line is a line...as long as it's read in the prescribed time frame (meaning, you didn't let it go longer that the box says and you got what's called an 'evap' line - see www.peeonastick.com for everything and more you ever wanted to know about hpt's).....the early lines are so super light, it's hard to say whether there's really a line or not, but trust me (as a poas addict) a line at 12dp ER is a real line, even if it's really light! Take one again in the morning with FMU - it give a much better result! and KUP!

well ladies....I am going a little crazy! There is definitely a line there! It is a pink line....I even went and bought a un-used one to see if I could see anything on it when it wasnt used at all...and its definitely different. I am worried about it being a evap line....I didnt really understand the definition of it though.....can that be a color if its an evap line? there is a pinkish color there....but i am now looking at it hours later! OMG Im not going to be able to sleep tonight! Any thoughts would be helpful! Hopefully tomorrow morning the line will be a little darker! If I get a neg after this, it will really be heartbreaking! How is everyone else doing?

Chelly-- I love perio! I worked ina perio office for about a year! Pedo is definitely something I had to get used to, now I would never leave! My RE had 7:30 appts also! But I start at 7 so it didnt help me that much!

Rlk1-- PMA I know its hard! Saturday and Sunday were the pits for me! Now obviously I am better now...although I am a nervous wreck!

Ann d-- I used one called Answer? I dont know...its not a major brand I dont think...but it was one that says 5 days sooner. I went out and bought some others so I will do another brand tomorrow morning. I dont know why I tested today....I just really wanted to. I was expecting a negative, but thought Id be okay with that cause it was early. I am still cautiously optimistic. When I went on the www.peeonastick.com it said they can read as early has 10dpo! I am 12dpo. Do you think you will POAS????

Okay ladies I POAS this morning and same thing....but I think one is even lighter! I did another brand Fact Plus and I saw a very very very faint like to make the plus....so I thought I would just have to wait, but then when I looked at it later it was darker. I know Im suppose to look at it right away, but Im really hoping its not a evap line. I'll do it again tomorrow to see if I get anything else. I think Im going to have my sister do one tonight and see what it looks like an hour later....see if theres an evap line from someone who is definitely not Pregnant. This is why you dont POAS!!!!! IM GOING CRAZY!!!!!

Neffi211: I am glad your PIO shot went well, My clinic usually kept us on PIO shot and the suppositories at same time from the 5days before transfer until 8weeks preg, if you are preg and if not they ask you to stop all med after the first beta test. How long do you have take PIO for?

Angram: I am happy to hear that 3 of eggs fertilized, and you get to transfer on tomorrow.

J&C: I sorry you are freaking out, but I think your numbers are okay; you started with a high number. Are you going in for a third beta?
I had chemical pregnancy before and my number was much lower than your number I don't remember the number but I know both beta was lower than 100.

Rlk1: How are you doing with your 2ww? When are you planning on POAS?

Good Luck everyone, I will be thinking of you.

Boluwa
