Hi ladies-
This is my 2nd IVF cycle and I don't know why I waited so long to jump on these boards. We've been at this baby-making thing for nearly 4 years... Clomid with IUI, Gonal F with IUI, and IVF with Lupron & Gonal F. First IVF we got 11 eggs, 8 fertilized, only 1 made it to day 5 for the transfer. BFN.
This cycle started with BCPs from 4/18-5/2. They wanted to try a different regimen this time so no Lupron. We started Gonal F 225 on 5/9 and have now added in Gonalerix. Unfortunately when I went for blood/us the other day they said my estrogen is a little on the high side (probably because they started me at 225 and last time we were only at 150). We were told to reduce to 150 for a couple of days and I go back in for monitoring tomorrow.
So far there's only 3 measurable and a few smaller ones but based on last cycle I bet we'll have ER sometime late next week or early the week of 5/25.
Question- has anyone here been on Gonalerix? Side effects? With the Gonal F I pretty much have a constant underlying headache and the typical bloating. With Gonalerix I had wicked burning at the injection and today it almost hurts to breathe. Weird. I'm going to give it another day before I say anything to my doctor just in case its allergies or something - but I'd really hate to disrupt this cycle since it's my second and last.

Hey not hopeless yet

We are very close in our cycles (im on D6 of stims today) and am using Gonal F, Roprenex, and Lupron. I have no experience with Gonalerix but im definitely feeling the stinging with the Gonal F. Im also beginning to get a pressure-like feeling on both sides around my ovaries. Hope that is ok. Probably just means that my follies are growing.

I'm on D5... and oops the med I'm on (besides GonalF) is actually called Ganirelix in case you were thinking of looking it up. I know what you're saying about the ovary pressure... I def remember that from last time and toward the very end of cycle was quite uncomfortable to button my jeans or seatbelt. But it wasn't too bad and I don't know if you've done IVF previously, but let me tell you I'm a BIG BABY when it comes to anything medical. I even pass out getting blood drawn and one time almost passed out taking my cat to the vet! But ER wasn't that bad and I just rested up for a day or two. Thought I'd pass that along.
Let's stay in touch since our cycles are so close!

I take 225 ml and on wed had b/w and my e2 was at 100 which the nurse said it was good.I also feel presure on both sides of my ovaries like cramps without beeing cramps I Hope that means it is working . This is my first IVF. I have anothe U/S tommorw

Hi Eve, great that everything is working out.

AFM, went for US/BW today. My E2 level after 4 days of stims was 350 or so which the doc said was good. Today (after 6 days of stims) I have a bunch of follicles on both the right and left. Most are around 12mm, some are 14mm, and a bunch 11 and 10. She said that im responding well to the meds and is keeping me on the same regimen. Hopefully my E2 level will be ok after today! Im def getting way more achiness around my ovaries. Feels sort of weird, no cramps though.

I had my ER on 5/5. Prior to that I had the constant headache. Was told it was due to the rising of the hormone levels esp the Estrogen. The Ganirelix did sting me a lot. My other symptoms were also bloating, pressure around ovaries, and some pressure around my lungs. I was told I had was very mildly overstimulated and that is why it hurt to take a deep breath. Everything ended up working out well and I had my ET on Mothers Day I find out result on 5/26. All this to say the symptoms you are having are normal but if the pressure in your sides get worse you should definately let them know. Good luck!

Well soon2Bblessed good luck with the beta in about a week! I just found out I'm triggering tonight (ugh- at 11:30pm!) and ER will be on Tues morning. That was a much quicker cycle than last time. They didn't tell me after blood/us today exactly how many eggs I had but last time we spoke I had atleast 6. And last IVF cycle when they told me I had 7 they ended up retrieving 11, so I'm hoping I get more than the 6 they see right now.

Out of curiosity, how many days were you on stims? And when you went in today, how big were your follicles and what was your E2?

I went in for my monitoring today, and I had about 15 growing follicles, the largest of which was 16mm (only a few of those), a bunch that were 15mm, 14mm, etc. My E2 level after 6 days of stims was 800+. When I left, they told me to come back on Tuesday but later called and said that my E2 level was high and I should come back tomorrow. I really hope this isnt a bad sign. The lady left a message on my phone so I dont know what that level actually was. Argh, I hope it will be ok. I worry way too much and am stressing myself out about it. She didnt say to decrease the dose of the meds or anything, just to come in tomorrow. So hopefully the E2 level wasnt too high to cancel the cycle. DH says that they probably just want to watch me since Im getting pretty close to triggering.

Hope everyone hada good weekend. Had my second U/S on sat and there are 11 follies all between 9 cm and 22 cm dr. doubled my luveris so they could all be about the same size. Today I am extreamly bloaded which I asume means that they are growing . Have another U/S and if everything is good er on thursday.I also started with the Ganirex and boy did it sting
not hopeless yet: I started the Ganirex on saturday and have an unbelivable stinging sensantion. The dr. had warned me about it however, I never imagined it would sting in such a way.

nothing new here, just going crazy over this 2ww. feeling much better from the OHSS. i have cramping and the tata's are bigger but i have read that the progesterone causes that. so who knows. i am strongly debating POAS even though my DH doesn't want me to.

Hi Ladies! I have only posted on here a couple times, but I read daily. I have a quick question. I go for my ET tomorrow and I was wondering if it hurt? I am kinda nervous cause I hurt for two days after the ER, and I'd just like to know what to expect tomorrow!! Oh, one more thing, how often do the doctors office usually let you know how your embies are doing? I haven't heard from mine since Friday when they gave me my fert report. I'm kinda worried. We are doing PGD, and they were supposed to bx them yesterday, and I was hoping they would call and let us know how it went. Anyway, thanks in advance ladies!

Well it looks like Im all ready for the trigger tonight! My ER will be Wednesday. My final E2 level after 9 days of stims is 3800 which the nurse said was perfect. EEEk, im so nervous and excited at the same time!

In regards to the ET hurting, in my experience no. The only thing that hurt was the full bladder. It does hurt a little or sting a little when they passed the catheter thru the cervix but not bad. Good luck to you!!

MSM2B I went in on Sunday and there were 6 eggs on the left, 4 on the right between sizes 14-20mm and a few more on each side that are small. My estrogen was 1800 so they let me trigger. And MAN I am in so much pain today... I can't wait for ER tomorrow.
And regarding ET pain that someone asked about I have to tell you my last IVF the transfer didn't hurt at all. I've had a half dozen IUIs in the past and I had a pinch when the catheter entered my cervix and cramping for the rest of the day. But the ET went so smoothly. And ladies it's nothing we can't handle after all the shots, bloating, and ER!!!

not hopeless yet: did the pain get worse once you triggered? Im asking because I honestly havent really experienced crazy bloating or anything. Just a little achiness as I said before which hasnt even gotten that bad. Did the HCG shot cause a lot more pain/bloating?
