Hi hopeforbabies,
I have no idea when my ultrasound will be...but they want to do the second beta on Thursday. So right now, I am just hoping to get to that point :)

Renee-- this is going to sound weird and I hope no one is freaked out by this, but my husband and I are pastors at 2 different churches. The first time that I was pregnant, I told everyone (in some ways, I felt like a hypocrite praying for everyone else and not offering my deepest prayer during joys and concerns). But then I miscarried and it was very difficult for everyone, though my congregation was a great support. This time-- we are not saying anything until we are out of the first trimester. HOWEVER, many in the church know that I have had IVF. We told people that we would answer any questions (pretty much) EXCEPT whether we are pregnant. I will let you know how that goes. LOL. IVF is such a private matter, but we made our decision because we hope that others will feel more comfortable sharing their trials with us re. infertility.

As a pastor, several women have shared their stories confidentially with me...it helps them to have some extra support during an anxious time, and I hope a "safe place" to share. But it is definitely an individual decision...and I don't know if other ministers are educated about IVF or infertility...

I hope this helps you.

Hi Lauren! I didnt realize that you were here with us! I am expecting transfer to be the week of the 9th. We will be close and so are several others.

Sunshine! Yayyy! Woohooo! Awesome news mama! Congrats!!! Beautiful beta numbers! :D :D :D :D :D

Chili...hoping to hear from you this evening.

Didi...Hi and Welcome!! Good Luck tomorrow! Keep us posted on how everything goes once you rest up!

Ryann...I know lots of women like those things...I had a cheap one too. However, I worry about them making everyone more nervous than necessary. Most often than not...you end up picking up your own heartbeat and not the baby's...and then soooo many women freak out when they dont hear the heartbeat...when in fact everything is okay. They can be very hard to find the heartbeat. As long as everyone knows the facts and what to expect...they can be fun, though.

Fitz...sooo many of us are gonna be withing a week of each other. Gonna be an exciting month in a few more weeks!

Nanci...Hi and Welcome! I feel like we have similar stories...glad to have you join us. Do you know when ER or ET might be?

Annpage...I understand completely. After my miscarriage...I am more cautious and worried to poas than ever. But, who am I kidding...I am a poas junkie. lol I do understand though.

Hi All,
Thanks for all your well wishes. Your prayers are appreciated more than you can imagine. I survived!! Before I went under the DR spoke to us. I was shocked to hear how impressed he was with my follicle production and growth. He said that was unusual for my age to have so many possibilities. He said he expected to find none. Whoo Hoo! 8) That really made our day. I went under easily. I'm still a little tender but not enough to take anything. Still a little out of it too. My husband is taking good care of me and the dog hasn't left my side since I got home. The Dr told my husband that all went very well but we don't know what was retreived yet. They'll call tomorrow. Then good ones go for genetic testing. From there the healthy blastys hopefully get put back on day 5. PMA...PMA!!! I'll be anxious till the phone rings tomorrow.
Best Wishes Hugs and Love to You All!

HI All... Wow.... everyone had a "typefest" these past few days. How will I ever catch up?

Sunshine -- Wow!!! Awesome beta! Congrats to you!!! :D

Shout out to Ryann and Chili -- Two Chicagoland girls like myself. I'm in the far northwest burbs.

Chili -- Sounds like you had a great ER today! Why are you doing genetic testing if I may ask? Was it recommended or did you choose it?

Tammy -- Uh... I never completely gave up my coffee... just cut back to one morning cup. And I gave up alcohol after ET. I think you are totally fine for the 19th.

Lauren -- Hi! I'm due for ER the week of 8/2.... right before you. I'm nervous as all hell too!!! I'm on the antagonist protocol also. My RE is adding Menopur this time to give me an "additional FSH boost" and maybe get more eggs. As far as improving your chances, have you considered acupuncture?

Franny -- How's the stims going? Any SnS updates for us?

AFM -- Gosh, I know I didn't get to most this time. I'm sorry! :( I'm exhausted and need to make dinner yet. I did read the godzillion updates since Friday...lol. I had a great time at the festival we went to on Saturday. It was a Ribfest and had BBQ from all over the US and even Australia. You could vote for your favorite. I had BBQ pork sandwich from a place called Texas Outlaw... I think they're out of Houston. Then we watched the band... the Gin Blossoms. They were really good. I remember seeing them play clubs back when I was in college. Brought back "old times". They have a new album coming out in Sept even. Fun. Anyway... I got a confirmation from IVFMeds.com that my package as been sent. Anyone else use them? I'm a little nervous using them since they're european but they are soooo much cheaper. One more week of BCP's for me! Baseline on 7/21 and if all goes well.... stim on 7/24. It cannot come fast enough. I just want to be pregnant again. I would be 22 weeks right now if I didn't miscarry. I can't help it, my brain counts down the weeks. Oh, and I added my pic. All the ones of DH and I look goofy... so here's just me for now. I'll keep looking for a better one.

sunshine congrats on your BFP!!! thats so exciting! thats a great first number! i cant wait to hear how big it is on thursday!! :D :D

chili yay for a good ER! get lots of rest. you are going to need to be nice and relaxed for your ET! i cant wait to hear how many embies you got!! wooohoooo!! i know that wait for the phone call is the worst...sooo scary, but its gonna be good news i just know it! hang in there! PMA PMA PMA!!

lou yay for ordering your baby in a bax!! i'm so glad you had fun at the festival! my DH woulda loved the BBQ. i dont eat red meat, and try to stay away from chicken unless its free-range, but i'm sure i wouldve had some chicken BBQ if they had any! i used to see the gin blossoms when i was in high school haha crazy that they are still around doing the BBQ festivals haha.
i am soooo sorry you have to do the "if i was still pregnant" math! that sucks soooo bad! i dont fully understand, but every now and then i stop and think.."if i got pregnant on my first IVF i would have my baby already!!" its actually getting to the point where if my 2ND IVF worked i would also have that baby. its a horrible thing to think about, but its only human to think of the what-if's. you have an angel up there helping you out this time! i'll be here cheering you on too my friend! xoxoxo

lauren welcome back!! how was your vacation?? i'm so glad to see you back in action! and yes this place has exploded since you've been gone! its hard enough for me to keep up, and i try to post atleast once a day!!

lauren yay for ordering your baby in a box! what are you doing this weekend?? i wish i could be partying!! have fun!

tammy i always drank on BCP's...coffee and booze haha once i start stims i dont drink, and i cut down my caffeine a ton! i tried to give it up completely this time, but i got killer headaches, and with this heat i couldnt take it anymore so i added in a glass of diet coke in the AM. that helped alot, and then i drink tons of water to stay hydrated. once i have the ET i cut out everything because i never want to wonder what if! i want to do everything i can to help make it work. of course this is my 5th IVF and not even a glimmer of a BFP so i dont know if i'd take my advice! it seems i'm not soing something right....

karin and tiger how are my PUPO girls doing??? do you guys plan on POAS?? you better tell us if you do! i cant wait to see your BFP's!!!! stick embies stick!!!!!! :D :D

miyaya thinking of you! hope you are doing ok. good luck tomorrow! i cant wait to hear that you get to start stims!!

afm stimming is starting to drive me crazy. i'm running out of spots to poke myself. i have my next SnS tomorrow, and i hope i will be ready to trigger! it's hard to say if my follies will be ready yet though..maybe wednesday...we shall see!
ok...off to bed!
good night everyone!

Sunshine - CONGRATS on being PREGGO!!! :D :D :D I am so happy for you! I wonder how many are in there? Can't wait to find out! So exciting!

Ester - You are beautiful! Love the picture and you are rockin' that list!

Lou- You are beautiful too! You WILL be pregnant again...I just know it.

Franny - I feel so bad for you! How many days have you been stimming? Jeeeezzz.....feel like a pin cushion yet? Hopefully tomorrow is the trigger day! Hang in there!

Today has been such a great day. The weather was awesome.I went for a walk with my dog, Jack by the beach. I went shopping and got a few things. I stopped at the grocery store and got hit on by a guy in the produce department...really...true story. I mean...heavily. I had some sushi for dinner. Then I sign on to see how today went for these beautiful girls and it's such good news. As far as days go....today was pretty darn awesome! Nothing like sunshine...retail therapy...getting flirted with...sushi...and pregnant friends to make you happy. :D

Hello All. I am new to this board so I thought I would start out with a little background. My DH and I have been TTC since Oct 2008. All the details are in my signature so I wont go into much detail. I was in the June Cycle Group, but found out yesterday that the positive test results I had last week were a chemical pregnancy. So this time we will be doing a frozen transfer, likely sometime in early/mid August. I am currently waiting on AF to come so I can start the Birth Control Pills on Day 5, and then have to call to make an appt within a week or so. We arent sure on the protocol they will be using yet, and we will find that out once we have the first appt. I stopped my PIO injections Saturday, so hopefully AF will come sooner than later...especially since its been 33 days today since my last period.

Is anyone on here keeping track of where everyone is in the cycle? I know we had that on the June Cycle Chat and it was really helpful.

Hi All,
So nice to hear everyones good news. I didn't have much computer time to read them all. Still recovering so the screen kept making me yawn the more I stared at it. Couldn't concentrate anymore last night. I'm still a little tender from the ER but very anxious to get the phone call. Then it'll be the big wait for the PGD results.

Lou-Glad to hear there are more locals here. Looking at your picture, you look like you could be my younger, blond sister. :) I just dyed my hair darker last year because my hair got so blond it didn't match my brows or my very dark haired southern Italian heritage. We are doing PGD mainly because of the high risk of severe genetic problems. At my age of 46 the risk of Downs Syndrome and a few other things are like 1 in 8. The testing protocol I'm having is for miscarriage and chromosonal disorders. I could've also had it to check for gender and chromosonal but we felt health and viability were more important than gender at this point in our lives. We'll love the child, boy(s) or girl(s). I got my baby in a box from Village Fertility Pharmacy. Good luck to you! :)

Sunshine-Congrats!!! :D :D

Could someone please tell me what RE stands for? :? I just can't figure it out.
Best Wishes, Love and Hugs and Baby Dust to you all,
Chili :D

Karin...sounds like my kind of day. Nice and relaxing. Zach has a nasty cold and a slight fever right now...so we havent been out of the house since Sunday. We have a Water Park pass and we sure havent used it like I thought we would...what a waste of money. I bought it right after finding out that I was miscarrying. We have gone 7 or 8 times...and I know the summer isnt over yet...but the week of ER and ET I am gonna take it really easy and do bedrest...between Aug 6 and the 15th. They close the 22nd and really I dont know if I want to risk lifting him and taking him even after the 15th after what happened last time. I was sooo careful and didnt lift and took it really easy too...so I know that it probably wasnt the reason for my miscarriage, but I still wonder what happened. Heck, the week of my miscarriage Zach had surgery and I ended up with strep throat...they say that none of those reasons contributed either. We moved Zach at only 19 months old to a toddler race car bed (no lifting out of a crib)...we put his high chair on the floor...and taught him to get in and out of the car seat (though we didnt even go anywhere). So who knows what really happened. I just know that I am going to take it even easier this time...to make sure everything goes well with no regrets. I have a few people who are coming over to help me with Zach while Bill works major overtime hours during this time. Plus my SIL is going to take him to the Water Park with her kids...they have a pass too. So, hopefully Zach gets to feeling better and we can go swimming lots in the next few weeks. Sorry for rambling, but I am soo bored right now. lol

Oh and to answer your question from the other day...I almost forgot. I'm not getting another FSH done since the one 3-3.5 yrs ago...I am curious as to what it is now though. Zach really is our little miracle after so many years of trying. Our chances of getting pregnant on our own are around 1%...and with help around 33% I think. We got really lucky and got pregnant 2 out of 2 times with IVF (1 fresh and 1 FET)...(we did 3 IUI's with no luck though). I've also heard that your body knows better what to do and also that you are more fertile the first few months after a miscarriage...so I have high hopes. Even more so than in April. I had a feeling when doing the FET in April that our luck just couldnt be that good...and that it wasnt gonna work out. This time...I feel more positive about things. Intuition maybe? Who knows.

Sorry to talk about Zach...I am sure it makes most of you want to scream and pull your hair out...so I will refrain from talking about him.

Franny...How did your SnS go today? Hoping and praying that you are ready to trigger soon. How long have you been stimming for? They say that I stimmed for 12 days 2.5 yrs ago...so curious as to how I will do this time. They're upping my dose too.

How long has everyone else stimmed for on average?

Hi and Welcome Blair! I'm so very sorry about your chemical pregnancy. Moorebaby has been keeping a list and doing an awesome job of it. FET will be less meds and stress this time...and WILL work for you! Fingers crossed! Come on AF!!! Big Hugs.

Chili...Cant wait to hear your fert report...keep us posted. Rest up today, too. RE stands for Reproductive Endocrinologist which is your fertility specialist doctor.
