Hello

I'm Steph...

I have had a lovely, friendly welcome to this message board on the introductions forum, and I have been pointed towards this thread to meet my new cycle buddies!

I hope I am not too early, as I have actually begun IVF treatment.
My 1st IVf failed in Dec 02 but I was successful in Mar 03, and have a lovely daughter, Amber, who is now 18 months.

We have tried to conceive naturally, of course, because of the many happy stories you keep hearing about people falling pregnant naturally after IVF but unfortunately, it didn't happen to us.

So here I am again, and this journey is not any easier. I am 39 and DP is 44. I have endometrial beading in my tubes although they are not blocked. I am ovulating regularly now that I have lost a lot of weight in the past year but I still can't conceive.

I will be doing acupunture again... I believe this really helped my last cycle, suggested by Zita West (I went to see Zita West in Jan 03 and she gave me lots of useful advice). Anyone else doing this?

These are my dates (also posted on the other thread):

15 MAY - Down-regging on Synarel nasal spray
23 MAY - AF arrived!!!
30 MAY - Baseline Scan
1 JUNE - Stims - Menopur
13 JUNE - E/C
15 JUNE - E/T
29 JUNE - Prenancy test!

I think Little P and Leanne are almost on the same cycle but Good Luck to everyone and look forward to sharing this rollercoaster ride with you all.

Love Steph x

Hi Steph,

Welcome to the mad house !!! Yes I am nearly the same as you x I am doing a blastocyst transfer so I can not be def. about my et yet. It will be on the Fri at the earliest and the monday at the latest, they don't open sat, so fri, sun or mon. So we will be the same or a day or two different.
How's it all going??

Randa , about the frozen sucess - I have already put this somewhere so sorry if you have read it before - listen to this.. A friend of mine tried ivf a few times and it failed so then they had the process where the sperm is injected into the egg( ? don't know much about this process) anyway, they were sucessful this time so they froze the other eggs. "years later they went back for the frozen eggs and were sucessful again, so they have 2 boys who are 2 1/2 years apart but effectively they are actually twins!!! So it does work. Good luck x

Good luck everyone else, we have a busy month or two ahead of us haven't we!

sending you all pma xxxxxxxxxxxx

Lumi (my cycle buddie :D )

I'm sorry  I forgot to reply to you earlier.

The sniffing is going ok, in fact I think I'm now quite an addict! The hormones   are certainly making a very big appearance and letting everyone know that they are here and mean to hang around for a while :? Can't stop crying at the slightest thing, even Eastenders seems to bring the tears on - now that's just plain ridiculous

How are you coping with the injections - are you sharing your life with hormones yet or are you having an ok time?

Hi girls x

Sorry to hear about the emotions, I have just come through those - it can be done! However I am now getting a bit ratty and short tempered. I also have hot flushes in the day and get a big rash and look stupid.

Few more weeks to get through, let's keep going girls with loads of pma pma pma x

Greetings Juju Jelly babies!

Little P, don't worry! You are the queen of the board and ALWAYS have perfect responses even if delayed!!. I am glad the sniffing is going well. I always cry at TV - I read somewhere that some people cry easily because when they see others distressed the brain releases chemicals - sort of in empathy - I they just cant help. That is me - without drugs!!

I don't think I am very emotional yet but I am getting very bad headaches. I think that is partly due to being tired - I am going to bed late beacuse I am not sleepy earlier on yet I am very tired during the day. I think that is because DH is away this week and that always disturbs the evening routine. When he is around I happily go off to bed at 10 and when he is away I watch TV till 12!!! Arghhhh (I have to get up at 6.30 :( ) )I had better check the buserelin box to see if headaches is a side effect. Anyone else had similar?

Leanne - you can't cry at Emmerdale!!!
That's a comedy!! Ha HA

Lumi

Hi buddy - I've had headaches on and off with this sniffing (buserelin) and it is listed as one of the side-effects :x :!: I can't sleep either, I keep getting these horrible hot flushes, I guess that's the menopausal bit then  Thank goodness for air conditioning in the house :!: :!:

So how is everyone getting along?
