Heather -- I'm so sorry for your BFN. You have a great attitude and you're right... 2011 WILL be a better year for us all.

katieb-- Oh no hun... I'm so very sorry. I really was hoping you would get good news today. Take all the time you need. We'll be here when you're ready.

margi -- Any news? Still holding out for you.

CJin NC -- I've bought meds from ivfmeds.com. They are in London and have good pricing. The meds are the european pack so they look different but I haven't had any problem with them at all. I've ordered twice. I suggest paying the higher shipping fee to get them within a week. I've called them and they are really helpful on the phone too. Ordering is easy. You just create an account, fill out the on-line order form, and they email you a fax cover sheet with your order # on it. Then you fax your prescription to them. They email you when the order is sent with a tracking number.

Wow there is soooo much support on the Winter Board as we're pulling together for one another! I feel like we've made some IVF sisters along the way. More than anything I appreciate you for sharing your experiences and keeping us pretty much level headed. Cannot say we sometimes don't go into crazytown with the 2ww, but you do keep us from going way over that edge. :P I look forward to hearing many more success stories upcoming in 2011! :D :D :D

Kildean - yay!

Lou - 2011 *is* our year.... just keep repeating that..... :D

Tiger - sperm donation is a huge emotional journey. It's really important to DH that if the baby can't be biologically his, at least the baby should be biologically mine. I don't think we are ready for sperm donation yet....we are doing this IVF/ICSI at least one more time. I totally understand mourning the children you will never have with him. That's totally normal from what I understand. For us, the big issue is that sperm donor would be a lot better than adoption (faster, cheaper, easier, younger babies, etc) - although we are still applying to adopt. I'm not sure *how*, but I know we *will* be parents one day.

Carol - I'm sorry your meds aren't working out. There are rules on this forum about selling meds (not sure what they are though). I've already sent mine to Margi! Sorry!

Pauleen - 30 people? Kudos! I hope clean up goes well and fast! I hosted 30 for Thanksgiving this year - what a nightmare!
FETs are a lot cheaper from what I understand - maybe you are better off doing another fresh and then using all the frosties on FETs when you have to self-pay again. I'm not really sure since I'm not paying for mine, sorry!

Heather - wow. I'm so sorry. I know how hard this can be immediately after a loss..... are you looking to doing a new cycle? do you have more frosties or would you being doing fresh again? - when does your husband come back? A whole year deployment or less? Will you try even though he is gone? (one of the ONLY advantages of ART!)

Katie - I am so sorry. Words cannot express how sad I am for you right. Sending big giant hugs over the ocean.

AFM - still waiting on DH's vacation days to be approved - but Greece is definitely the plan! Anyone ever been to Rhodes and can advise us on what's fun to do? I'll probably buy a travel book and read it non-stop until we go! I'm super excited.

As per my HSG on Jan 18 - some of you have had HSGs, right? My HSG is scheduled for 7:30am - do you think I'll be able to go into work afterwards? If I'm in pain or whatever, I can stay home, but I'm running low on sick days - this IVF is taking a lot more than I planned!

Leora- I went to work after my HSG, very little spotting for me... I thought it was pretty quick from what I remember , little uncomfortable but not to bad...

Ginger- Good luck today :)

Heather- Does your DH have to sign papers for you to have another cycle before he goes? I know my clinic even with FET my DH has to sign before I go ahead to next cycle... I will keep your family in my prayers while your DH is serving our country... We are blessed to have strong people serving our country...

Leora- I dont have any frosties left. I"ll have to do a fresh new cycle. Unfortunately it will have to wait until at least February. The day before my BFN I had my yearly mammogram and a spot they had been watching has spread so I have to go in on 01/06 for a biopsy. I hope its scar tissue from the mastitis I had when I was breastfeeding Aimee. Regardless they mentioned to be prepared for some type of surgery to have it removed to prevent future issues. So that would knock out January. But dont worry I"ll be here gimp boob and all cheering you all on!
DH works for special forces so he doesn't go for a year, its a much shorter time. No more than 6 months. Last year's cycle we got pregnant with Aimee while he was deployed, he leaves his "soldiers at attention" (thats how he explains it) aka a frozen sample and we sign paperwork to be able to do cycles while he's gone. Seriously we signed more paperwork for that then our mortgage LOL I have a pretty good system now, my parents drive up 5 hours, my brother watches my animals, my parents and I drive 3 1/2 to 4 hours to my IVF doc and get a hotel locally and we stay for the retrieval and then 3 days after the transfer and then we go back home. The whole time my husband is in Afghanistan and we talk via the phone at least 6 times a day LOL and we get on skype and see each other on the webcam. So we are very fortunate.

Margi- I hope you are ok hun! Let us know how you are! Still praying for you!

Has anyone else taken the Lupron? I'm soo moody and miserable. Maybe it's just the PMS mixed with the Lupron. ARGH. I sure hope I ovulated on day 14 this month so I get my period tomorrow. I'm usually very chipper and happy :(

Leora- I went back to work right after all 3 of my HSG's. The last one was very painful because of one tube being blocked and having to go on my stomach etc. Just make sure you take those 4 Advils before hand.

Ginger good luck today :)

I hope everyone else is doing well and excited for the New Year :) Hopefully it will bring lots of babies.

Leora, I had an HSG last year as well as a lap. Fortunately both times both tubes flowed freely. I was able to do everything normal after the HSG and had very little spotting, although I have heard that it is more painful if a tube is blocked, which is understandable. My suggestion, at least what I did, take a muscle relaxer (or magnesium supplement if you dont have a prescription med) or a good pain killer (something alittle stronger than ibuprofen) so that you are relaxed and not worried about the pain. Some docs will even prescribe a small dose if you are concerned about the pain. Muscle spasms are very common where the tube meets the uterus and can inhibit the dye to flow through the tube. Also, if you can, have someone there to drive you, especially if you take something for the pain. If you are prone to infections, some doctors will prescribe an antibiotic to take just before the procedure. The lap, on the other hand, was alittle more uncomfortable and I was hurting for a day or two.

Ana, congrats on the heartbeat! Maybe a little sister for the boys?
