Hi Girls,

Glad to hear everyone is doing OK!

Cocoa that must have been scary. My doc told me that the nuchal is far more reliable than the triple and said that the scan basically overrules it, so they don't even do the triple if you have the nuchal (because you will get a different number). Anyhow I'm glad it got resolved for you.

So, the updated due date list:

Vlada - 4/24/08
Mandy J - 4/29/08
Cocoa - ~4/9/08 (4/30/08 is 40w)
Hayley - 5/5/08

Take care everyone!

Morning all,

looks like april/early May is going to be a busy time!! hope you're all doing well. I'm going through a worry time at the moment - no reason in particular, I just wish I knew that the babies were ok - as a naturally impatient person I find it really hard to wait for the next appointment or next scan!! I am also really small for 17 weeks (or so everyone keeps telling me) which makes me worried about whether the babies are growing ok. I have my next scan on 5th so hopefully that will put my mind at rest - at least for a few days!! I still can't feel the babies which isn't helping.

I am getting lots of stretching pains which feel like stitches - is anyone else getting these??

so the morning sickness is finally through, I've actually been out twice this week for dinner and kept it down. Also not too many embarrasing belly burps!

Love to all

HI Rebecca:

First, if this is your first baby (babies) then its not unusual for you to "look" smaller than someone who has already had a baby. Also, the stretching pains are quite normal especially with twins. I get them all the times. I even get some stomach pains/pulling.

I understand your concerns. I have been having a lot of pressure and it doesn't seem to want to let up. I called my OB a few minutes ago and she told me to go to L&D to get checked. I may need a cerclage which would stink because of the possibility of infection but I will do what I have to do for the babies...

I am leaving now...

Hi Ladies,

Here i am still hanging in..... things have been busy here but things are starting to settle down. Hope everyone had a nice turkey day Those of us who celebrate.... I feel the babies move all the time its great ....... they both seem to be doing great i go for my 20 week scan next week i cant wait i hear its a great scan.. Most of my scans are really clear images they are all done at the high risk Dr. and they have top of the line machines .... i have been going every 2 weeks for scans there as well as every 3-4 weeks to my Ob for my basic check ups. as of now i have gained 10 pounds and i must say i look 7 months preg. even though i am only in my 5th month. my inny.. belly button is no longer the same its almost flush with my tummy no more lint balls able to get in there..... i am feeling good other than mu sciatica pains but i am dealing with them with a smile it will all be soooooooo worth it in the spring....... oh FYI THEY NOW THINK I AM HAVING 2 BOYS...........I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW AFTER MY 20 WEEK SCAN. Does anyone know what they are having yet?

Cocoa------How are you ? i was in peddlers village the other day shopping. Do you go there if so there is a baby shop on the main strip right near the toy store they have the nicest girl things there oh my .... I was also told the triple scan is not always a good judge with twins as it measures things diffrent... and the n/c scan was a better was to go. I hope all works out for you ..... i was on pins and needles waiting for all my results as well. my due date is 4/18/2008 for 40 weeks but my dr said i am going to go around 36 weeks that puts me 3/21/2008. Glad to see a list forming. Are you finding out what you are having?

Hi Ladies...

Whew are we slow on this thread or WHAT?!?!

Update... I went to L&D on Sunday because of the pressure (like a bowling ball up there and babies pushing out) and swelling there. I thought for sure my cervix would be a problem. I got there and they put me right into a room, took urine, checked the fetal heartbeats, put on a monitor to check for contractions (many tiny ones) and then FINALLY checked my cervix... LONG & CLOSED... WHEW... Well the L&D nurses couldn't have been nicer and I think the one who checked me pushed me back into place cause I feel better now. I also got my new lab results of the triple screen and it was 1:1727!

All seems to be going well except for my own scares when I think I don't feel the babies. I work all day long and I guess I don't pay much attention and by days end I may have "rocked" them to sleep. Anyway, I DO know that I cannot do too much in the way of cleaning and running around because that DEF brings on contractions...

LisaPa - you know, I haven't been to Peddler's Village at all yet. It's not far but I just haven't gone the whole year and a half I've been in this area. I have been to New Hope and the Ivyland Railroad but not to PV. I do want to go but this will be a less expensive Christmas as I just saw how much child care for TWO children costs... OUCH! I would love to go up there and if you plan to make another trip maybe we could meet up. Anyway, I am really glad you are doing well. I gets more exciting as we get closer with no problems.

I have my Level II on Dec 10th (week 20!) and will find out the genders then. It seems like its far away but I know its not... That will be when I finally believe all of this...

OK, POST, POST, POST LADIES... Keep up the list!!!

Vlada - 4/24/08

LisaPa - ~3/21/08 (4/18/08 is 40w) TWINS

Can't wait to hear how WCs trip was and when she's getting her Level II! After we've all had the level II we'll all really be on our way!

Hello all,
I think about all of you every day, it just seems like I have no time to post. I finally got my NT results and everything looks normal! I think my Downs odds were 1 in 3700 and my Trisomy 13 & 18 1 in 7000. I scheduled an ultrasound for 16 1/2 weeks to determine the sex. I am doing it at one of the 3d places (though the sex determination is done in 2d). I figure it is worth the $89.00 to know - the suspense is is killing me! :-) Other than that, all seems OK. I started my administrative internship for my Master's program - yuck! I need to complete 120 hours before I complete the program a year from March. However, I will be on maternity leave from May throughout the next school year so that leaves me until May to get them all done! I am working in my school office from 7-9 am every morning and then teaching all day and doing all of my school plus master's work at night. I am pooped! Anyway, I was so glad to read that everyone is doing great!
Have a great weekend ladies!!!!

Hi ladies

Cocoa: i'm so sorry you have had so many scares, but glad to know everything seems to be doing ok now. I had a few scares in my first natural pregnancy too -- had an UTI at 6 mos and went into premature labor. I was put on bed rest for about 5-6 weeks.

I'm technically due on June 5 or so, but the DR tells me I should deliver in late April/May (particularly with my history).

I'm starting to get some more energy in the 2nd trimester, but still have the migraines and for the last 2 days, I've been down with a bad cold. I've missed work the last 2 days -- last thing I need right now. There doesn't seem to be anything I can take during pregnancy to make me feel better other than tylenol. Right now, I'm just trying to down the fluids and inhale a lot of vapors.

My cats seem to be going through it with me. One has a bad sinus infection and is leaking all over the place; another experienced periodontal disease and had 3 teeth extracted this week (she too was druelling all over the place) and now my 3rd cat needs to correct some major gingivitis. Suffice to say, a very large vet bill and 3 sick kitties to join their mom.

That's about it for now. Going to hit the bed again and try to get better so I can go to work tomorrow.

OH, by the way, results of my first trimester screening are in:
TWIN A: Down Syndrom 1:1200; TWIN B: 1: 971.
For Trisomy 13 and 18, both scored 1:10,000.
Based on these results, I don't think we are doing an amnio.
Me: 40; DH: 30 (Demi/Ashton!)
9/14/07: 3 perfect blasts xferred
9/23/07: BFP with 745.6 Beta!!! Twins

Hello everyone,
Cocoa, I am glad you are feeling better.Sometimes I have pressure and pains in my low abdoben as well.
I had my regular OB appointment today , she used a doppler for the heart beat and had to chase the baby all over the place, I guess my little one just was not happy with the device
I will know the sex of the baby on december 14th, during my 20 weeks US scan, they might do it in 3D, i am not sure though.
Everyone seems to think that i am having a boy, including my parents, so it will be very interesting to find out if that is true. I know my dad will be exctatic if he is having a grandson :D
Oh and my due date is approximately apr24th, depending on when my OB is going to schedule the c section for me.
Good luck to all of you ladies, we are almost half way through!!!
Love,
Vlada :D :D :D

Hi Ladies...

So glad to hear we are progressing. I read through the IVF threads when I come to the site and I feel such sadness for the ladies who have been through so much with no success... I pray for every one of them to get a BFP. I seem to hold my breath as I look for the results. Life can be so cruel at times... I've been through it I can tell you that. Life has dealt many, many difficult blows but it has served a good purpose. Still, I cannot imagine wanting a family with children and being unable even through years of effort. I pray we all get to week 37, 38, 39 and 40 with no complications or scares - AMEN...

So Vlada you go on the 14th? I go on the 10th and I am really looking forward to finding out the genders. Who else has a date for their level II? Anyone doing 3D or 4D? I don't think I am going to do that. I think just knowing and having ALL these black and whites (U/S) are just fine... I have so many starting at 5w6d when I first saw the little beating hearts.

Vlada I think you're having a girl... your HBs have been high AND its just like girls to cause mommy anguish at times and you sure have had your share of scares  (of course you know I am teasing but I do think its a girl in there...).

Babyb - I am really hoping for a girl for you too... Actually I would love it if you had one of each that way you wouldn't have to have your new baby girl share the limelight! And boys are wonderful - they love their mommies (even though they get lazy and even a little snotty at age 14 :P ) Let's just pray real hard together.

I don't really know what gender I am hoping for. I know I would like one girl but not sure that I would want TWO! Whew - all that estrogen while mine is diminishing... We'll all be bi#chy at the same time - Yikes! In actuality I don't think I really care. This whole thing is SO God that I cannot try to force my two cents cause God knows best.

Sciteacher! I cannot imagine all that work at this point in my life (and pregnancy!). I am huge and tired by the end of my work day. Its even difficult sometimes to get to karate to teach (yeah, still doing that but I don't demonstrate anymore). What gets me there is the fact that I love my students and they are very supportive... I hope you can get all those hours in before you feel like a beached whale (that's what I felt like when I was 37 to 40 weeks with my son). I am so huge now that sometimes I breathe heavy just sitting down! My co-workers say "you're small!" and I'm like... WHAT?!?!?

OK, ladies keep in touch and I think WC is coming back in a day or so!!! Can't wait to hear about her trip and how she is....

xxxCocoa

Hello everyone!!!
Cocoa, it will be funny if I am having a girl because everyone around me is referring to my baby as he
Well, I had 5 Krispy Cream donuts today!!!! My God I am going to be huge!!!
I am still  in my jeans though, they are tight on me, but I can still wear them, that amazes me because I am 18 weeks today. I ordered maternity jeans on line, I wanna be prepared when my belly will pop out one day.
Oh, and my husband thinks that it is so funny for him to say "you don't look pregnant right now, just fat". Do you think I can hit him for that?   Just kidding, but still, his joke is not funny at all
I hope that everyone elses husbands are acting normal :D

Hi Ladies...

Vlada... Well, I have to say that there is NOTHING normal about my DH... He is back and forth about the whole "babies" thing and I am starting to really dislike him for it. Men can be so self-centered. Of course he tries to act concerned "oh, how are you feeling today hun?" Yuck! If he meant it it would one thing...

I cannot believe Christmas is coming and I am in no mood to decorate. I just want to sleep! I am not really sleepy tired but I feel lazy. Carrying around these new 20 lbs (yes, twenty!!!) is really tough. I can still wear my underwear and I buy size 8 maternity pants because I figure I will grow into them as I get bigger but I don't seem to be - I seem to be all belly. My normal size is a 6 and I am 5'8" tall so I know I will get to about 180 lbs before all is said and done. My bras are the problem. Actually, I should say bra (singluar) since I have only bought one new one since I outgrew my regular bras at 10 weeks! But I seem to be outgrowing this one two. I went from 34C to 38C and while I started with the inner clasps at first I am now on the middle clasps...

I absolutely have no appetite at all and I just don't understand it. It is 2pm right now and all I have had are two cups of decaf coffee (at least I put in light cream so I can give the babies some fat). I feel like eating SOMETHING in the evening but its strange... It HAS to be bland and NOTHING sweet. Last night I ate 2 BBQ ribs that I had made a while back and frozen and a baked potato with butter and S&P. I do have a yearning (not really craving) for liverwurst - weird huh? I love cheese and rye/pumpernickle bread so I eat those together as a sandwhich with about 3 tablespoons of mustard (love that now too). Is anyone having cravings or problems with eating? too much? too little? I still get up 2 to 3 times a night to pee and that's driving me crazy as I have to pull this gynormous body out if bed each time.

OK - here's a personal ? - anyone still "doing it?" I am just wondering because with all this pressure I am sure its not really the best idea. Thank goodness I am not "in the mood" like I was when I was pregnant with my son. It was almost every day then (sorry if tmi :? )

Well, I guess I should decorate this tree standing here in my living room. I did clean my bathroom this morning so that's something. I think I am getting close to that time in every woman's pregnancy where the "nesting" begins... I sure hope so because if I wait much longer I won't have the ability to "nest" - I'll be WAY too big!

OK - keep adding your due dates...

Hello,
Cocoa,
I have not "done it " since a week before my embryo trasfer!!!!!!
I was not alloweed to have sex for the 2 WW, then untill my first US, and after that I started bleeding and was on bedrest forever. So, after 12 weeks I thought it would be OK but then they found out that i have mycoplasma, then I couldn't have sex untill my DH and I are done with anibiotics. Well, he got cured and I didn't !!! Now , they took another culture from me to determine which kind of antibiotics can kill it. Meanwhile, we tried to have sex ones with condom and it was a desaster!!!! It was so bad that we had to stop because it was just sooo uncomfortable. Well , that is my story, 4.5 months without sex, anyone can beat it?

Hello everyone :) I read much more than I post. I guess I have been so nervous the last 14 weeks, I just couldn't imagine posting and becoming to close to everyone, only for something to happen. Every single day I worry...but know..as each day passes, I feel SLIGHTLY more comfortable than I did the day before.

I am officially 14 weeks and 2 days...Due May 30th, with Twins (IVF)!!! Only two embryo's made it to transfer...and neither were of good grades. (B&C - one moderatly fragmented - Embryologist admitted my chances were 20-30% ONE would take) so..because of this, I was certain I would lose one. HOWEVER, both have made it and things are going really well.....so far! There is however, not a day that goes by that I think I am 'in the clear' Sometimes.....I even am not sure I believe it, and even more so....not sure I will believe it until I actually BRING home two little ones.

The pregnancy so far has been uneventful! No actual throwing up..but I did feel very sick on a daily basis, as well as EXTREMELY tired (I have a 4 yr old little boy..natural miracle) which I was not aware was going to happen. Funny though..it was like the day I turned 12 weeks, I had WAY more energy, and no more weekend naps!

I have gained 9 lbs so far (Yikes as sadly...what I weigh now is what I was when I gave birth to my son!!) As for the 'deed' we have, but I just don't have the interest! Too bad my husband wasn't feeling the same

Anyone with twins have any idea about what kind of double stroller to get? Some people say the front/back ones....but I just really want a side by side..think they would like it better? But then lots of moms say that they can't stand that the stroller doesn't 'fit' through anything????

Well I am very happy to officially say Hello! I don't have tons of opportunity to post...unfortunately can't get on at work, and since I get home at 6:00pm - and have to make dinner...get my son bathed and ready to bed..and in bed by 9, I am typically on over the weekends. and once or twice during the week.

Glad to hear everyone doing well, and I so agree with Cocoa. I read through all of the new threads and it saddens my soul when I hear of BFN's. Lately, there seems to be more and more... I remember some of us on the same cycle and WOW, at one point I think we had 3 or 4 BFP's in one day! I pray every day for each woman on this board trying to get their miracles. I'll add myself to the list :)
