Kimmysq - I can understand that you must be freaking out. When I miscarried with my first IVF, the main sympton that I had was awful lower backache for about 24 hours before I started bleeding (not very bright red and very very clotty). When I started bleeding I had very much contraction like cramps (not a dull ache that you might feel with a period cramp but a bend over cramp). I was told the next day that I had miscarried. I am freaking out here myself as well cos I have cramping and my morning sickness seems to have completely vanished.........I had very bad morning sickness with my dd and this time I can hardly feel anything except slight sickness. Do you have a local maternity hospital where you could go for an emergency scan? I wish we could sleep for the next few weeks and wake up 14 weeks pregnant so that we could relax a little. keep in touch. hugs to you.

Joyanna:
Thanks so much for your message. I had remembered from one of your past messages that you had m/c. I so appreciate the info. I am not sure how my cramps are...I think I am too nervous to figure it out. I am going to wait a little and call my OB's office and see if I can't get a scan somewhere.
Please don't worry that you don't have m/s. You just had your perfect scan and saw that little h/b just pumping away!!
I too, wish we could go to sleep and wake up when the 1st trimester is over.
Hugs,
Kim

Hi kimmysq - just checking in on you. I read your post on the april board. pg all will be ok for you. I had that brown discharge for 8 full days everytime I went to the loo and spotting in between from 6 to 7 weeks pregnant. When I had the US the doctor told me that it was coming from my cervix - and probably as a result of the progestrone pessary. I also had on/off cramping. It settled down for me from about 7 weeks 1 days onwards. have had nothing in the past week. Thinking of you.

Hi All

Kimmy - big congratulations to you - thats wonderful news.

Joyanna - very happy for you and your lovely little beanie too!!

Try hard not to worry the two of you - I don't even know why I am saying these words - it's impossible, but made me smile a little to know I am not the only one to have prayed hard that it would be possible to just put your head on the pillow after the BFP and wake up 14 weeks later!!!

Suzhan - how are things going for you?

Already Blessed - hope your pregnancy is going well too.

We are doing well with positives here!

I ended up taking another break for a month - wish I could talk about it - but even this is a bit too hard and public message board probably not the way to go - in short the day before clinic phone call - had a very upsetting fight for want of a better word with DH - I think he must be feeling out of sorts about it - but didn't go well and didn't feel very well supported. Sooooo it has been left for another month - hopefully we are both ready to go next month. (whhhyyyy is this so hard this time around!!)

Take care all, I hope I am joining you with pregnancy news in 3 or 4 months from now!!

Oh Melo,
I am so sorry that you got in an argument with dh at a time that you were trying to make such a big decision. Perhaps it was meant to be, and this extra month is the time your body needs to get ready for a BFP again.
Either way, I am sure it was stressful, and I am sorry you had to go through that.
Hugs,
Kim

Hi All. popping in to say hello.

Suzhan - hope you ok. Am praying for you like mad.

Melo_p - I was so sad to read your mail. Maybe you both just need that extra time before starting the whole gruelling process again. I am sure that you dh is just feeling the pressure from ivf and especially the difficult time that you have been through. I know that my dh found this round of ivf very stressful. He started commenting on the fact that pregnant women were everywhere and everywhere he looked there was a carload of kinds and hwy was it so difficult for us!!!! The stuff that is in my head all the time but this is the first time he has ranted like I normally do. And we had a huge row over the fact that he was still drinking coffee when we were both meant to be 'as healthy as we can'. I hope that you are feeling better and I am sorry that you had to go through that annoyance.

Kimmysq - all my very best for the scan tommorrow. I know that you must be very anxious.

As for me, I am not relaxing with this pregnancy at all. I am trying to by burying my head in a book at all time and keeping myself as busy as I can. I am 8 weeks tomorrow and I don't have nausea which unsettles me. I am tired, seem to gag on certain foods (yogurt) and have swollen breasts. Just wish I had the nausea. Also, I keep waking up at night 2 am and 4 am ...........think it is worry. I phoned the clinic and they said not to worry about the nausea cos not all women get it but I think it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Also they said that in their experience women get nausea with girls and not boys.......to which I said RUBBISH - think they were trying to get me to relax a bit.

Chat to you all soon.

Hi all -

Well, as suspected, we got the official bfn on Saturday. It wasn't too bad because I was already prepared. We see the RE on Friday afternoon to talk about future cycle(s). I hope to start again soon. AF arrived today, so this month, at least, is going to be 'au naturale' - let's hope that works :o :o My OMD/Acu has me on a new set of herbals and I re-start acupuncture on Saturday.

Joyanna - I can only imagine the stress you're feeling. I can remember the intense ups and downs of the first trimester. When's your next scan? Are you doing the NT scan?

Kimmy - how scary for you! Are you feeling better, I'm thinking of you!

Melo - thanks for the note and also sorry you had it in with DH. I hope, though, that this break gives you both a chance to gear up for your next cycle. IVF is too stressful to add any more stress into the mix. Take care of yourself.

Take care ladies - I'll be keeping tabs during my 'break period' as well!

Suzhan:
I was so sorry to read your message, I was so hopeful you would get a BFP. I am glad you are starting again soon. Will you change your protocol at all??

Joyanna: I can understand why you are worried, but try enjoy that you don't have m/s. I have also heard the wives tail that girls make you have more m/s. I will tell you that I have a son, and I didn't have m/s anything like I have now...:)

Hi everyone

I woke up at 2am this morning with bleeding - brown and heavy enough. I had a scan done today and my doctor has told me that I am losing fluid from the gesational sac but that there is a very strong heartbeat and fetal pole - her words were that 'it looks bad but the baby is fighting to survive'. I have been given a pregnel injection (hcg) and told to rest in bed for a few days. Has any of you ever heard of anyone getting this injection during pregnancy? It is the same one that I used to trigger after the stims. I am worn out and confused. I was told to come back for a scan in 7 days or sooner if cramping/bleeding gets bad.

Sorry to be constantly bringing worry and bad news to the number 2 girls.

hi girls

Had a scan today and there was no heartbeat. I am waiting to miscarry naturally in the next few days - if it doesn't happen D&C in 2 weeks. I am numb with shock.

joyana I am soooo sorry to hear your terrible news. Did the doctor have any explaination as to why the baby was losing fluid from the sac? My prayers are with you and your DH. Please try to stay strong, and take some time for yourself to grieve. So sorry for your loss.
