Hi
This is my first time to this website. I'm half way through my first cycle of IVF. Just passed my first two weeks of down regulation, and just started on the egg stim bit. Not quite sure what half the abbreviations are on this website, so I'll be typing words in long hand I think! Anyway, looks like I'll be a November buddy as it looks like my ET (is that egg transfer?) will be in a week or so. Very excited and positive. Bring on the eggs!!

However, a bit concerned as have bled non stop for the past two weeks, and the doc said I should stop when I started Gonal F. It's been two days of stimulation now and I still haven't stopped. Is this normal?

Hi Bec.

Welcome. Have you asked your Dr. about that yet?

Anna, I have a totally different protocal as we are still IUI.

Nicki, AF is due sometime this week. My cycle can give surprises as it goes anywhere from 26 days to 32 days. Its funny though, today being only day 24, it feels like AF could happen already - belly is crampy, boobs hurt, and face is breaking out. Oh well, maybe she comes early this month.

Hi Guys

Thanx for all the support, the EC went well. They managed to get 10 eggs and 8 fertilised which we were really happy about. I had the ET on friday and they put 2 grade 1 embryos back in. So now I've just got to wait and see - this has to be the hardest part!! At the moment I feel fine, pretty relaxed if I'm honest but that is bound to change!

I'm already starting to analyse every pain I'm feeling, god knows how I will be in 2 weeks time!! The hospital reckons that I may feel some mild stomache cramps and such like for a couple of days after the transfer - does anyone know if this is true? My test date is the 18th Nov so if anyone has any good ideas for how I can keep occupied for 2 weeks please let me know!!

Wishing everyone loads of PMA :D

2ww and have a question

Post by luby »

Hi Girls

I had ET yesterday morning, but today I noticed a slight brown discharge, so I am already worried now, I didn't notice anything like this so early on last time. Has anyone else experienced this. The doctor said I might experience some slight stomach pains, but she didn't mention any discharge.

Luby - my clinic's info does say to expect some light bleeding in the first couple of days. So I would say that what you describe doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary.

All the best

Hi Kate
Glad your EC and ET went well
My EC wed was fine, 18 eggs, 16 fertilised, two put back last Friday and 14 in the freezer ("the Waltons"). Feels like its all happened really quickly. My test date is the 16th - don't know why its earlier?? Maybe tales of my impatience reached Hammersmith....
I too am weighing up every below waist sensation and it is just going to get worse :D
Would be FANTASTIC if we're both successful!! A november the 4th double header :D :D :D
Let me know how you're getting on during the time expanding 2ww...

Good Luck to all Novembers!
Take care

Love, Lola
