Hi girls

Sorry I don't get to post much on here, so busy with work. I thought I would just update you on things. I am now going for EC on Thursday (4th) I am so nervous but excited at same time. I only have 8 follies but hey, it only takes one after all. As long as I get some good quality eggs that’s all that matters.! I will keep you all posted as to how I am getting on.

Gail - I want to wish you all the luck in the world, I know this is going to work for you. Stay positive hun.

tlkmoser - Sorry to hear your news, please take time for yourself and DH.

Prissy - Sorry to hear of the OHSS, but I suppose your not bothered are you now your celebrating a BFP...congratulations. That is great news..

Natalieanne - well done on follies, numbers sound great, wow 23 last time, that’s a lot of follies. I have only got 8 this time but I'm happy with that, having high FSH an all...1 Anyway I wish you lots of luck with tmt.

Tasha - Your embies are where they belong now, all snuggling in their new home for the next 9 months, I wish you all the best, Stay positive girl. Bless your hubby fussing over you, that's what their for, lap it up girl, feel for you though with the Bank Holiday telly, it was crap yesterday..!

Dania - Hope EC went well hun

Carolyn - Hope your ok sweetie, try not to worry about the discharge too much, I know its easier said than done but brown blood is old blood which is good, its the red blood we don't want to see, but saying that even that can be normal in some pregnancies. You'll be fine, anyway brown discharge is usually implantation bleeding so things look good.! I hope work was OK today (hope I've got it right that you went back today) just take it as easy as you can.

A big hello to everyone else, sorry that I've missed you out but I'm absolutely knackered, work is a nightmare at min, but last day tomorrow for a week.!

Take Care everyone

I went back to the dr's today and got another sono. Happy news!!! The cysts were much smaller and the blood test showed normal estrogen levels, so I am going to start the Follistim on Sat (5/6). I am so relieved!

I go back next Wednesday for another sono to see how my folllicles react to the Follistim. I am so excited!

Hi Everyone,
I was on here over a week ago I had to cancel my cycle due to my uncle being very sick in Florida and had to go there for a few days (doing better) at the time I was supposed to start my cycle so now I will be starting BCP again on or about May 17th and wanted to join you ladies again and then I will have to go over to may/june because my EC looks like it will be around June 14th if all goes well.
Well I want to say wow it took me awhile to read all the past posts that I missed in the past 10 days or so. Happy to see everyone again!

Congrats to all those with the BFP's! Way to go!

Sorry to read those who got a BFN-Take care of yourselves!!

Good Luck to the rest of you's that are on your 2ww and those that are on stimmies getting ready for Egg Retrieval!!

Hi all,

Feels like ages since I last posted - time flies on here!

First of all, Heather - I'm so sorry that you didn't get the result you deserved. I don't know how many times you've tried but keep positive - it will be your turn soon!

Prissy - congratulations, you did it girl!!!

Danielle/Brenda - keep on growing those beans!!

Tasha - how are you finding the 2ww? Glad your DH is fussing over you :) Mine came home early from his business trip last night - it was a big surprise for me when I opened the door! Hooray!

Natalie, Vess and Cyot - hope your follies are growing nicely today :)

LauraLou - congrats on starting your stims!

Jess - welcome back, hope your uncle is ok.

Carolyn - how are you getting on now? I just read in Zita West's book that brown discharge is completely normal as it can be due to an embryo embedding itself..

As for me, I'm still on the stims.. seems to be lasting forever! I managed to mess up on my Puregon pen - realised that it was slightly out of alignment so it hadn't been injecting any fluid, so stooopid. Wondered why the clinic were calling me to tell me my levels were low. Anyway, I think I only missed a day and now they have put me onto the next stage (Merional) - with the silly phial things. It took me ages to get all the bits and pieces sorted and I was left with 2 handfuls of waste by the end of it! Injection was fine but felt sore and a bit crampy afterwards so I just went straight to bed with a hot water bottle :)

Mood swings have been fine since Saturday and felt so much better after a day at work  - think this is because it really took my mind off things!

Love to all,

Hello all. Just got back from my first scan after starting the Stimmies on Saturday. He sounded disappointed when he told me that one ovary only showed 6 follies and the other only 1 follie and they aren't as big as he had hoped. He said we may have to extend everything by 2 days. Not looking forward to this as DH leaves on the 19th for 6 weeks for some training.

Am feeling blue. I thought I was doing everything right. I haven't been worried or stressed, just thinking positive thoughts. Maybe Friday's scan will show better results. All I can do is hope, pray and keep up with these pain in the ass shots.

DH is being very supportive and understands and actually teared up a little with me when they told us. We will just keep on keeping on. All we need is one good one, right?

Will find out more on Friday morning. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

For those who have received BFN, I am so very sorry. Maybe it's in the cards to try again as hard as this is. I try to tell myself that if it doesn't happen the first time, maybe it's the wrong time. We've seen many get BFP after numerous attempts. We'll just get stronger each time and maybe that will make us a better mommy and daddy.

I am so completely happy for those of you with a BFP. I'm sure you feel like you conquered the world and you have. There is nothing better than to look into your childs eyes or watch them sleep. You're on your way to that joy. Congratulations.

I hope everyone's day goes a little better than mine. Not the end of the world, just a little dissapointing.

I'll just keep on praying for a better result on Friday.

Baby wishes to everyone!!!

HI EVERYONE

Heather - I know that it is easy to say but try not to stress. 7 follies is a great start. We all react differently and it may just be that they adjust the meds a little or you need a couple of extra days. I know that it is frustrating at the time but they will be trying to get the best number & quality for you. When they told me that my follies were small, I just spend two days resting & drinking loads of water & putting a hot water bottle on my tummy (per Zita West book). It could help? Fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow

Luby/Lucy - Hun - simply cannot believe after all that cyst drama that you are already at EC. That is the benefit of the flare cycle I guess! I am really hoping that it will go well for you today and that there will be loads of eggs for you. I found this smile specially for you. Image You were right - I did go back to work on Tuesday & was there yesterday but at home again today as am just doing 3 days a week since Easter. Part of my game plan to help my chances as I was very very busy and working crazy hours with lots of stress before. You sound like you are under a lot of work pressure. Try to focus on you & looking after yourself over next few days if you can. The work will still be there when you go back & is not the priority right now.

Jess - Glad that your uncle is doing ok. You did the right thing. At least you'll be getting started soon. I'll try to update the list for all the new dates

Lucybucy - I sure that messing up 1 day is not a big deal. They can always add an extra day at the end. I have heard that they leave some woman to coast (not inject for a few days) during some cycles so sure that it will work out

Cyot - Hope that you EC goes well. Let us know how you get on

Natalie - Hope that you follies have done some good growing ahead of tomorrow. 23 -last time - WOW

Vess - Hard to keep up with everyone but think that you had a scan yesterday - how did it go?

Lauralou - glad that your cyst has gone and that you can get started. I found things moved quite quickly when I got onto the stimmies. Good luck for you tmt

Tasha - hope that dh is continuing to fuss over you during 2 ww & it is not dragging too badly. Mine has been really good. He has been doing loads to help me

Prissy - hope that you are recovering & enjoying being on cloud 9. You must be so happy

Danielle - That must have been SO EXCITING. I am glad things worked out just as you wanted

Brenda - moving across to the waiting for 1st scan seems like an exciting hurdle to clear

As for me I am watching the days tick past. Not been too bad so far as at the beginning I was trying to recover from both EC & ET which took quite a few days as I was so bloated. Tuesday was just boring at work. Yesterday was pretty dam busy at work (given time off for tmt plus trying to do a full time job in 3 days a week guess it was inevitable) but tried to walk very slowly, sit down when I could and not get too stressed out. Have been going to bed very early. Am off today so under instruction from dh to take it very very easy. No real signs - breasts are a little tender, I am going to the loo lots in the night but that is no doubt all the water. It is our 1st Wedding Anniversary on Saturday so dh is taking me somewhere nice & romantic for dinner - no talk of tmt allowed! That should take my mind off this at least for a while. First thought of hpt came today but I resisted. Trigger shot was 10 days ago but I am only 8 days post EC. My clinic really advises against but not sure that I will be able to resist all weekend

Wishing Danielle, Brenda & Prissy a happy & healthy 9 month wait!

Good luck to everyone else.

thanks for updating the dates Carolyn, hope you are doing ok on your 2ww.

i had a surprise this morning. i went to my GP to try and get signed off. i started explaining how my previous 5 attempts had all been taken as holiday or unpaid leave and she interrupted me and said that she was 7 weeks pregnant after her 3rd ICSI with my former consultant (who i left cos i thought he was very nice, really goodlooking but had not suceeded in getting me pg). she was of course really sympathetic and signed me off for 3 weeks. what a relief. had a really good chat with her and she said all she did differently on her 3rd go was rest loads.

really bloated now so assume my 9 follies have grown. find out tomorrow at scan.

Hope eveyone is doing ok today. Gail - i posted on your test thread, i'm so sorry to hear your news. thinking of you.

Hi all,

Heather - 6 follicles sounds good to me, after all its all about quality not quantity! Try not to worry yourself, I'm sure that when you look back on this with a bfp, those 2 days will seem like only a small blip!

Carolyn - what's tmt?? Not long to go now eh? Have a lovely time on Saturday and happy anniversary! I'm keeping a close eye on your progress as I'm still wondering how I'm going to find working during my 2ww. I've just emailed my boss to ask her if she would mind if she took 5-6 days off to recover from EC and ET and she replied to say she is thinking about it - eek!

Natalie - good for you getting 3 weeks off!!! It makes such a difference to have someone understanding and on your side.

As for me, I'm still on the meds, still haven't got a date for EC (I can't put my name on the list  )but am just happy tootling along at the moment. Haven't experienced any real side affects yet apart from the bad day on Saturday and the odd twinge from my right ovary. I'm just a little tired from getting up early to go to the clinic before work every morning but other than that its going so smoothly I'm a little suspicious!!!

Hi Ladies,

Congrats Prissy on BFP!!! YEAH!

CYOT- my cycle buddy- I'm glad to hear your doing EC today YEAH!! Good luck !

ITs a quick post for me- on Monday I had EC and unfortunately the meds didn't do there job and I was in a lot of pain. We went in at 9 am and left the hospital at 3pm. I had a lot of feeling throughout the procedure so they kept increasing the meds which made me sick to my stomach and gave low blood pressure- 80/59. Let me tell you Monday night we were up in the middle of the night even if we went to bed at 8 pm from the day's exhaustion.
So the last two days I haven't been feeling too well and my belly is still swollen and aching -I don't understand why.

Well they called tuesday with the stats- they collected 27 follies- 19 were fertilised via ICSI and 11 have matured into embryos. We feel very blessed. So we celebrated with Apple cider champagne(non-acohol of course). Yesterday morning they confirmed we have to go in this morning for the transfer. I've been nervous all day yesterday- it seems like its had gone so fast these last few days.

I've been taking my Medrol(for implantation), anti-biotics and progesterone injections- I feel like a walking medecine cabinet!!!!!OH and I have been eating lots and lots of pieapple and juice!!! Thanks for the tip !

Take care everyone and wishing you lots of luck !!
I will post again as soon - after my few days of bed rest!

Good Morning Everyone.

Well, got a phone call from the doctor late yesterday. They said my Estrogen levels were 16 on Friday before I started stimmies and only 32 yesterday, 5 days after starting the stimmies. I was so upset DH had to come home from work and he called the doctor. They said that we had to make the decision whether to CANCEL the whole thing or increase my Repronex from 2 vials in the am and 2 vials in the pm to 3 each time. Meaning an addition of 5 more days (pretty much starting from scratch again with the stimmies) AND $2,000 more. We figured that we've gotten this far, why stop and have to start over again so we went ahead and painfully ordered the additional meds.

Only terrible part is that we just moved to Texas and DH goes to California for training the day that they are supposed to do the transfer. I've only met a few girls and have a hard time depending on other people but looks like I'm gonna have to suck it up and ask for help. Mom will be flying in that night but will need to be picked up over an hour away and someone will need to be at the hospital with me so looks like I really have no choice but to ask for help.

I really don't think I can go through this again if it doesn't work.

I will try the water bottle and resting. I've been drinking loads of water and juice. If ANYONE has any additional advice to help my follies grow, please share.

Thanks to all of you for your support. I am so glad to have you all and my wonderful DH.

I will let everyone know tomorrow if there has been a change.

As Lucy, I am behind 2 days with the posts. But will catch up with personals later.
I was sooo bumbed yesterday. I only had 4 eggs:(
10.10.10.11 on my right ovary. that is my weak one, last time I had only 2 there but I had Lupron before. This time around, no supressions, streight 450 gonal+2 vials Menopur. And 4 eggs. but nothing on the left side, that is supposed to be my strong side. The cyst was there, so I guess it came back to bite me. Dr saw some small one on this side, hopefully they grow.
i started CEtrotide to supress this morning. i hope those small eggies grow...
My endometrium was 8. Is that good?

Lucy, 5 mature eggs is very good:) Let us know haw many fertilized. Wishing you 5 speedy growing ones:)

tiffichels- I hope this time it works. Yes, I would have done the same. We are too much into the game to quit now. Eggie-growing-vibes your way! With my first IVF I was in a new house, away from friends. We close the house 3 days before ER and we just managed to wash the carpet in the bedroom where I spen the next week. Everything was a mess, boxes everywhere. I was lucky DH stayed with my for ET but then I ws alone. Please, do ask for help.

Dania- Good Luck with the ET! Wow, that's a lot of eggs! 27! I am so happy 11 made it! It's awsome. You will have enough to freeze for little brothers or sisters:)

Gail- I am sorry to hear th bad news. please, stay strong. ((((Hugs)))))

More later
