THANKS, JEN! I'LL CERTAINLY FEEL MUCH BETTER IF I GET A BFP ON THE BETA FRIDAY. IN 1996 I HAD A M/C @ ABOUT 2 MONTHS. IN 1998 I HAD A BFP ON A BETA W/HCG = 10. THE HCG ONLY INCREASED TO 12 W/IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS & WELL, YOU KNOW THE REST.... I KNOW ALL TOO WELL THAT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN, ESPECIALLY THIS EARLY ON. OF COURSE, I KNEW BETTER THAN TO DO THE STUPID HPT, BUT MY SANITY GOES OUT THE DOOR DURING THE 2WW. I KNOW IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO RELAX DURING THE 2WW & INSTEAD I FIND MYSELF BEING A MORON. I AM NORMALLY A VERY RATIONAL PERSON, BUT I AM ANYTHING BUT RATIONAL RIGHT NOW. WELL, SORRY TO WHINE SO MUCH. ANYWAY, THANKS & GOOD LUCK TO YOU TOO. :)

Hi ladies

Thanks Catharine for the great advice. It's such an exciting time seeing the first scan so keep us updated! I did read somewhere that women who eat a portion of full fat dairy products every day are something like 27% more fertile than women who go for the fat free version. (Don't quote me on that figure...) But it doesn't necessarily mean we can all go and pig out on Ben and Jerry's every day...what a great excuse tho! (Your yogurt sounds yummy and is a much healthier option!)

Amy - I decided to take 75mg DHEA a day. I'm not sure why I chose that dosage but I figured since my next cycle may be in Oct, I will have just been on it for around 2 months. And in the absence of clear medical guidance from my clinic, I'm forging ahead on what seems to be the maximum dosage... One of the other woman on the general forum also replied to my post (under DHEA PROTOCOLS) and took 75mg for 5 months and her FSH dropped from a high of 23 to around 4! - so I guess that was another contributing factor - But I would like to know how doctors figure out what dosage to put their patients on. Maybe it's related to FSH levels, ovarian reserve or age?

Sonix - happy stimming and enjoy your holiday!

Hi to everyone else.

Will desparately be logging on later in the week to hear more good news on the BFPs...

LuAnne: Congrats!!! When I got my BFP I had to take two HPT's, since I could not believe the first one. Now we just need a BFP for Chriss.

Hello to everyone. I am not getting much sleep these days, as Andrew wakes up every 2 hours or so. I'm hoping that it will pass soon. He is getting so big and almost sits up by himself. He will sit for awhile and then topple over. He also has two bottom teeth!! I posted a recent picture of him below.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all of your well wishes. It means a lot. I'm having a bad day. Well, for the past couple of days I've been feeling so much like AF is coming. I've had lower back pain and lower abdomen cramping. Then today I got some brown spotting. I'm losing it. I know that some people spot during IVF, etc. but the timing and the PMS feelings are uncanny. I think maybe the PIO shots are keeping the AF from coming on fully. Tomorrow I go for my PT. So I will know either way, but it doesn't look good and I am depressed. Sorry to be such a bummer. UGH! This has been the biggest challenge of my life. I feel knocked down again. ANd I keep getting back up. But I am tired. I know that you can relate. I am sorry for the bummer message but I need a place to vent and I feel safe with you guys. Thanks for always being there. My best to all of you.-chriss

Chriss - I'm so sorry to hear you're having a bad day. Don't let AF cramps get you down because they do not indicate anything according to my clinic. In fact, the post ET paperwork they sent home w/me listed both cramping and spotting as symptoms I might experience over the next several days (among others) & added that none of these symptoms meant I was or was not pg. Stay positive, we are all rooting for you to get a BFP tomorrow. :D Good Luck to you!

Congrats LuAnne, another BFP, fingers crossed for high beta on Friday!

Chriss, would you want to do a pee-on-stick too to get over it? I would since I can not wait that long.

Tammy, glad to see Andrew's hair. Sorry for your lack of rest. Eloise sleeps through the nights as long as I pretend not to hear her - she whines every 3 hours or so at nights but I've learnt not to pick her up, she falls back to sleep on her own after a while. She just had her first cold a week ago and now she is having her first ear infection! We waited 3 days to find this out due to the laborday long weekend. See what daycares can give you? By the way, I was infected by Eloise also, I am having the most severe cold of my life!

Jen, thanks for keeping us all updated! It is always nice to read your hi spirit posts.

I just saw a new RE today and I am glad to let you all know that he agrees to present my case to ivf team in the same clinic to try to get me on another fresh cycle if we fail to get pg with the 5 emryos from last cycle. I will start bcp as soon as my next AF and will stop breast feeding completely on the transfer day (~2 months from now, Eloise will be 8 months then) if everything goes well as planned.

Keep posting, everyone!

Hi everybody, I am new to the forum and I guess this is where I should be...I did my ER 8/26 and my ET 8/31. I had 14 egss, turned into 10 embryos, PGD that left us with only one embryo that passed, so we transferred one. Waiting for blood test on the 12th but will test sooner at home, maybe tomorrow. how soon do most people get a trustworthy result with a home test after their ET?
Thanks,
and good luck to everybody,
Lind

Hi all
Chriss how are you today??? any news of your result yet??? been thinking of you all day ...so please post as soon as you can...much love x x

Socal and Love ...hi and welcome....
Socal i thinkit's too soon for you to do an hTP but i did think luanne was too soon too...and she has a BFP so what do i know. I would wait until the 11th for a test and then you are more than sure. testing too early can bring a negative when it's a positive in a couple of days. In my mind it's too much of a heart breaking risk to chance...good luck whatever you do much love x x

Love- welcome god luck with yur tmt an starting shots x x

a big hi to everyone else!!!!

KIM where are you?? Thot you started tmt yesterday and wass hoping for a post???? hope all is weell x x x
