Anton: I love your updates That was rough about your 25 year old relative and oh wow she thought that was trying for ages?! And I love your non ivf talk regarding your job - good luck!!! And always ask the diety lu-hsing to help with new jobs

Kala: im sorry you are feeling low when is your beta?

Leora: thanks - unfortunately car part and labour and extras is €800 not great for january. This whole ectopic is just dreadful and im so sorry

Christy: lol, thanks! Actually it was my friends parents 50th but I'll remember it too!! That's a complete pain around the attain program me coq10 has been recommended for us plus selenium and zinc

Maria: fantastic news!! I need those ones that say pregnant or not - i could not cope with ones with lines!!would you mind changing my egg retrieval and transferdatesbto march?

Crashing for Lyd

First congratulations on your pregnancy and I want to tell you that I was also nervous about my beta numbers but I want you to know that after 1500 beta starts doubling every 72 to 96 hours in NORMAL pregnancies so if you are not seeing your beta double every 48 hours at this point it is completely normal. My third beta last year went from doubling time of 30 hours to 58 hours and I was in tears until i found out that beta slows way down after 1500. i hope this helps. also here is a website about it. Lyd: thanks and you are absolutely right. My real concern was that he was actually suicidal at least twice in the last week. However this new rollercoaster he has decided to embark on is one he has to do on his own.

no news. but its only 3pm here now. he can call as late as 6pm dependng on how busy he is. urghhh...

OK, the doc just called. my beta at 22dpo is 3539. so it is a 58hour doubling time since my last beta at 17dpo. I was a little disappointed but he seemed to think anything between 48 and 72 hours is OK. We scheduled my u/s for jan 13th. i will be 6w3d then. he wanted to wait till jan 16th - 6w6d - but i pushed for earlier. he said that it is 50%/50% on seeing heartbeat at that point.

oh man, i am worried that my beta has slowed down from 40 hour doubling time to 58 hour doubling time. it just seems like it is too early for it to slow down.
Anna - thanks for sharing your experience - did your beta doubling slow down as well?
Also, maybe i started out with 2 embryos and now it is down to one embryo.

LYD that is an excellent beta!!!! Yes mine also slowed the same way and it is normal. after 1500 beta slows down normally in every pregnancy. With me my first beta at 14dpo was 247 which is very high for a singleton and my second beta was 725 only 48 hours later so my doubling time was 30 hours but then my 3rd beta was way slower at 58 hours and I was really scared and disappointed however I researched beta's and it is supposed to slow down so please don't be disappointed yours is EXACTLY where it should be.

Sunshine - thank you so much for your words of encouragement! i dont know why it is so hard to just relax and wait or enjoy what you get. but i guess having had so many failures i am just really on edge and scared.

Thank you, Maria - it is so hard to stay positive, as you well know yourself, after so many dissapointments. unfortunately, us IVFs know all the ways it can go wrong.
