Kim your move sounds like hard work but a fab place for you family to grow up. Your son will love being near all the aunts and uncles and granparents. And when you have your new baby you will get all the help you need. Some one is looking after you as it sounds like a Divine plan x

Sonix, any news about your lining? Do you know what may cause this? One scan my lining was a nine and two days later it was 8. I am a little worried too. My bloodwork came back ok. Tomorrow is my retrieval. Let me know what you find out. Thinking of you.

Jenbabes, thanks for always updating for us. I've tried to change it in the past but got confused about the quote part. I don't see quotes to erase. Ugh, I don't know. Anyway, my retrieval is tomorrow (Thursday) and the transfer will be on SUnday the 30th. How many weeks do you need to be on BCP? You must be getting ready!

oh good we can do the 2ww together. I'm not all that sure about the lining stuff, but 12 sounds very good to me. I hope mine is ok. I guess the progesterone shots will help to thicken things up, right? It's a bit nerve racking. My last scan was two days ago and that's when my lining was 8. My estrogen came bak ok, so hopefully my lining is getting ready. Too much to worry about. I have 8 or 9 follies right now. Hoping for 8 or 9 eggs. Last time I only had three eggs. So at least there's more now. What about you? What time is your ET? Mine's at 8:15 am. Keep me posted. Good luck. I'll be thinking of you.-chriss

Catharine -I'm so sorry my dear. The same thing happen to me last year and I was totally gutted. Ask your doctor to do a test on the fetus if possible. At least they may be able to give you some answers and learn some more information for the next time around with you. For me, the fetus had a genetic defect (Preimplantation genetic testing is banned over here unfortunately, which made me furious as I would not have had to go through 10 weeks of pregnancy and mc if they had tested the embryo before transfer... ) On the good side, at least we know we can get pregnant now...
Anyway, stay positive and am thinking of you.

Belly4#2 - I was told to take DHEA in the morning by the Endocrinologist who supplies me with it. Not sure why it was recommended, then Catharine said that it affects your melatonin levels, so that makes more sense. (Which is maybe why your friend may have been having those sleepless nights?) Not sure what to do now?

Sonia - gd luck with the lining.

Love/ Chriss - Fingers and toes crossed for loads of eggs! And to all you ladies currently in treatment too! (Not as clever as Kim's glittery shimmie text! - I love that - how do you do it?)

Thanks ladies, for asking about my lining and thinking of me. The news is not good I’m afraid and looks like this cycle will be cancelled.

I had more bleeding and cramping this morning and by the time I called the clinic it was full force. I was told we would probably have to postpone the cycle but the doc would be consulted and they would contact me again. This afternoon I got news that I should stay on the meds after all (6mg Estradiol per day) to “try and save the cycle”. To be honest I don’t have much hope because increasing the meds doesn’t seem to be helping. I’m not looking forward to the next scan tomorrow morning...
I really don’t know why this is happening. New treatments are just bringing new problems. It’s so frustrating.

You girls made me cry with all of your good wishes and glitter I had to show my DH. Thank you so much. Today went really well. My scan the other day showed 8 or 9 follies so I was expecting 6, 7 or maybe 8 eggs. As it turns out they retieved 10! What a surprise and a happy change from last cycle when I only had three and one of them crumbled before fertilization. I am very nervous for tomorrow's phone call. Catherine - Like everyone has expressed, I am deeply saddened by your news. You and DH are in my prayers. Like many of the others here, I to have had a loss after IVF & it is devastating. Please take good care of yourself.

Sonia - I always had a "soso" lining when undergoing IVF in the past. Even when the doctor added suppositories to one cycle, and estrogen patches during another cycle, my lining reached only 8mm. Of course, 8mm is adequate, but I would have liked to see it a little thicker after all the additional effort. During this last cycle I did DelEstrogen injections every third day, and it helped my lining tremendously. I do not know if DelEstrogen is suitable during regular IVF or only w/donor IVF, like I did, but you may want to check into it. Good Luck!

Chriss & Love - I am eager to hear how things went for you. Hope you'll both be reporting BFP's soon.

I am doing well, except for all night nausea and all day heartburn. Of course, I will endure whatever it takes to get these little ones here safe and sound. I just have a long long way to go. I had my 3rd scan Monday. It showed Baby "A" to be 6w6d, and Baby "B" was 7w. Both had a good heartbeat, which DH & I got to hear. I go back at 9 wks to see the nurse practitioner, then see the OB for another scan at 10 wks. I take nothing for granted, I pray every day, several times a day. After the bleeding episode, I have been in fear. We have not shared out news w/anyone & do not intend to do so until it is apparent. Of course, with twins, that will be a bit sooner than a singleton pregnancy.

Hello to everyone

Thank you for thinking of DH and myself during this difficult time. It means alot to me. The tissue will be sent our for testing along with matched bloods from both DH and myself. We should have results in a bit over a month. This week has been difficult for obvious reasons. DH has truely touched my heart with his compassion. I wish I could allay his pain as he does mine.

My ER yesterday really kicked my butt ..... (I didn't react well to the anesthesia) ... I'm feeling much better today though ..... My RE got 10 follicles and he told me while we were still there that 8 of them contained eggs!!! (Yippee!!!!) .... I got the call from my RE this morning and he told me of the 8 eggs that 5 of them fertilized and they look very good ... I will be having the PGD test which will be done on day 3 ... my RE wants to do the ET on day 5 .... I hope and pray that I have at least 1 that makes it through all of this ... I will also be having acupuncture before and after the ET (my acupuncturist is located across the hall from where my ET will be done)
