Just checking in. Had my FET today and all went smooth. Now it's the 2ww. The doctor said that there is a 20-22% chance of having a live birth so I figure we are just going to be lucky if this works for us. We thought it was an extra bonus just to have one left from the fresh cycle. I only wished there were two, but I realize that it only takes one.
I will be on estrace and progesterone suppositories to provide support. Lets hope it sticks!
Test date is April 17. Best of luck to those of you who are headed to ET soon.

Sher- Sending you sticky vibes. I see that you are from Pittsburgh, that is where I am from! I lived there my whole life until dh's job took us out here to Seattlelast summer. I love Pittsburgh and am so jealous you are there!!! I will be there for 2 weeks this summer for a vistit!! We test same day too!
Steph - Please go rest and take it easy! I am surprised your clinic is checking you embies tomorrow. Mine said they never pull them out on day 2, wonder why so many places do thing so differently. Let us know what they say..praying for those cells to divide!!
our group is growing!! that is great! I go tomorrow for a second us and bw. for those that have done the hcg shot where did you give it to yourself at? belly? leg? butt? I was told I can do it in ny abdomen but I don't know how much of my muscles I can get since I have a fat role.
I am glad everyyone is doing well. keep the faith for a bfp for everyone!
Donna - my clinic told me that if I had to give myself a shot to do it in my upper leg muscle. If you do it here, you don't need to inject all of the way. Half of the needle length is enough per my nurse. To be honest, I chickened out and had to call my DH to come home from work and give it to me.
Me-37 DH-39
3 IUI's BFNs
1st IVF/ICSI Dec '06 (1 embie)-BFP, m/c 8wks
2nd IVF/ICSI May '07-BFP! It's a GIRL!
Jovigal, - I agree with you, the fist shot is the scariest. And it ok to feel scared.
The first time I injected myself, I was starring at my needle for a long time but it gets better with practice.
I inject in my upper thigh and find that by squeezing and holding while injecting is less painful. My nurses didnt tell me much about length of the needle, so I inject all the way.
It gets easier with time.....

BWHD - I don't know what you are doing wrong! I copied and pasted the image you tried to put in, directly into my text and it came up! Is there something on your computer that doesn't allow smilies? Have you got any of those tick boxes ticked that show at the bottom of your text when you are posting? The only one I have ticked is Attach signature.
Hopeful - I'm so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you.
I love your quote in your signature!
Donna - I did mine in my belly!
Sher - congrats on getting your baby back home! Wishing you a speedy 2ww!
Rebecca - Good luck with your scan tomorrow! I hope there is lots of activity!

Interesting that you are from Pittsburgh. I lived in Cleveland most my life, but moved to Pitt in '92. We live north of the city. I would think that Seattle would be cool and we are actually planning a vacation for Seattle/Portland trip in the fall. I have this thing about retiring in Oregon state.
The 2ww seems to be the longest part of this process, but I plan to keep busy and I have a 14-month-old to help me with that.
I was concerned about the condition of our thawed embryo, but it sounds like even some that are not so perfect survive and those that look great sometimes don't. I am not sure of the condition of ours. . .never really got a straight answer. The doctor did make me aware that it really is a subjective issue and not to get too hung up on shape of the embryo. With that being said, we will see in two weeks!!

hi there everyone i haven't been on for a while and i hope you are all doing OK i collected my meds this morning and i start downregulating tomorrow morning so that's me back on the roller coaster and hopefully third time lucky has anyone any information on taking low dosage aspirin after ec asked the clinic and didn't give me much info said they would let me know as its something they have never recommended
I had 17 follicles today. and been told that a huge amount for 8 days of stimms so now i am worried about ohss and excited as i have so many follcles.
ive read so far that it develops after 3-4 day after EC, but my tummy is so full and bloated. i bought some size 18 and size 20 trousers ready for when i get preggers, as i dont want work people to notice.....and when i was at work yesterday, i wore size 20 trousers, and still had to undo top button yesterday!! OMG!!! Im freaked by the size ive gotten too, normally im size16.
So all is all, feeling ok and positive but a little concerned over ohss, could any one shed any light on it etc....
IUI using donor in 2005
1st IVF cancelled OHSS 2006
2nd IVF 4 eggs all failed to fertilise 2009
3rd IVF successful 2010 pregnant Miscarried early
FET negative 2011
ADOPTED DAUGHTER 2014
Sorry to hear about your bloating, but that is pretty common. I had OHSS and would not wish it on anyone. More painful than childbirth! If you have it and get pregnant, it intensifies. I suggest staying hydrated and drink plenty of water and get rest.
Other than that, you may want to check with your doctor to see if you have any potential of getting it.

It is really beautiful out here, so different than the east coast as far as the everyday scenery, you will love it out here. We only plan on being here 4 years then back to the burgh! We lived in the south hills and plan to return to that same area.
Where do you go? Do you go to Magee?? I did for 2 years before moving out here and my RE was Dr. Wakim, very nice man!
