hello ladies. I check in on you often, but have nothing to post, as nothing seems to change for me.
Still bleeding. Shock of all shocks!!! I start Lupron in 12 short days. It amazes me how excited I am about giving myself shots.

You ladies are all doing so well. Lots of follies growing.
Several of you are fixing to face the miserable 2ww. Just remember we are all here for you guys. Take good care of yourselves and have lots of PMA.

I hope we have lots of BFP and I will bring up the rear....way in the end.

Just wanted to check if anyone had posted... ;)

hrobinson: sorry to hear that you're still bleeding! What an annoyance! Hehehe but I get you on being excited to give yourself shots! :D

marsxp: thanks for the update; I'll try to update the list tomorrow. And about ER, don't you worry sweet pea. At my clinic, they never do general anaesthesia for ER. I was 100% awake the whole time. They did local anaesthesia for my vagina, though; four shots. Only one got me a surprised ouch! and it was gone. I really didn't feel much when they pricked my ovaries and sucked all the precious eggies out. It all happened very fast and I had a drug to keep me relaxed (called Fantanil; the same they give you when you go through a coloscopy for example). There is an advantage to staying awake... less recovery time, less side effects of the meds... and hearing the embryologist count your eggies during the procedure! :D That's priceless! I, too, bled during the procedure and my doctor had to clamp a vein. I didn't feel anything. The only bad thing that happened to me was that my uterus had a contraction. It's a reflex whenever you annoy the cervix, apparently (you can also get that reflex during transfer). That contraction was really painful, but it passed. It was not that bad; I was able to joke with the staff that if that's what contractions are like, I'd take the epidural in a heartbeat! But apparently, it has nothing to do with that. It's always more painful when your uterus contracts when it's empty.. plus the contraction was sudden, it did not build up gradually. All you have to do is take deep breaths and keep the focus on that safe place deep inside you... and everything will go real fast and real well.

nimble: hello sweetie! Long time no see! :D Glad to hear that AF is almost here! Don't worry about being behind; lots of us are still waiting for their cycle to begin. It's like we have two groups this time!

My2LnT: glad to know that the pain has subsided a little bit. Keeping everything crossed that beta stays on the 23rd... ;)

Sophie- The repronex isn't too bad. Sometimes if i'm feeling wimpy i'll stick an ice pack in my pants while preparing the shot so my bum is numb! Last night's shot hurt so tonight DH said he is making me ice the spot. I would love to rent a place in Italy but we are only going to be there 3 nights. We decided to do 3 in Paris and 3 in London as well. I can't wait. I hope to be pregnant in Europe this summer!!!

Tomorrow is my first scan. I'll let you all know what's in there!!

Take care!
Jenn

marsxp - at my clinic, to help the couple save cost ($3k to $5k), they do the ER in the clinic, not hospital, therefore, no anesthesia. They do give a drug cocktail that helps some but I still remember most of it. To be honest, I would rather have done it without any drugs. I want to see all my eggies coming out. For most women, they wouldn't be able to recall the procedure but drugs don't take to me that way. You'll do fine with it I promise, especially if you're going under... I hope you get lots of eggies....

jenn - I hope your first scan goes well....anxious to hear.

hrobinson - sorry you're still bleeding. It won't be long until procedure day.-

Steph - wow, 7 is a great number. Sounds like you'll have several to freeze. Good luck with your transer.

nimble, don't feel bad over taking a break from this. Mentally/Emotionally you have to do that some times. You can't live it 24/7 or you'll go nuts... good luck with your appt tomorrow.

daly - thanks for the well wishes! I'm doing much better thanks. So, your stimming time is right around the corner. It's amazing how things start moving when you get the go.

I'm really anxious to meet with the embriologist tomorrow before ET. I have no clue as to how many made it or the grade. I already have my self psyched for twins... :) I'll update tomorrow when I get home. My RE doesn't ask that you do bedrest but I'll probably stay in bed for a couple of days and take it easy. I did that last time and I got pg.

PMApsy – Your lunch on the deck a couple of days ago sounds lovely – It is the same over here – we look forward to being able to have that first brunch out in the pergola and first BBQ with friends our on the deck in the evening – for me, once we have done both those things winter has finally passed. I have fond memories of Montreal. I loved all the connecting underground subways so I didn’t have to go out in the cold I spent a fun weekend exploring the city. I remember having a lovely meal in the old part of Montreal and I loved the Cathedral. I hope your show goes well on Saturday, If I was closer I would buy a couple of those tickets off you, I’ll just check the flights – perhaps I could make it…..
I hope the headaches ease off a little and you have a lovely weekend.

Anna – I am sorry you got a BFN last time but with a good supply of Frosties I am sure there are a couple there just waiting to be your little darlings. I look forward to getting to know you over the next few weeks

Daly – Welcome back, enjoy your weekend in Santa Barbara, getting away for a few days is the best medicine. You have had a rough few months, let your DH treat you and enjoy your time together.

Nimble – welcome back, don’t worry about all the personals, just drop by to say hi and let us know how you are doing.

Steph Congrats on 7 Embies - you must be thrilled
I hope your tummy is feeling getter and your are relaxing a little

Marsxp – Congratulations on you shot, I hope ER goes well and you get lots of lovely embies How did the exam go?

Jovigal Ouch that nick sounds painful – I hope your embies are growing well – not long until they are home with their mommy

Susan – I hope your patients were a little better behaved yesterday and today. Sorry you are having headaches and I hope they ease off soon – my head feels tight and fuzzy and I feel like I am working at 50% at present. I’m taking 100 units of Puregon each night to stimm and 20 units of Buserelin each morning. The weather in NZ is pretty good considering winter starts next month. We have tons of Autum leaves around our garden, my DH loves putting them in a big pile and dragging me into them also
I hope the scan went well on Thursday.

LTaylot – 15th June will be here before you know it – we need someone to bring up the rear with a BFP !!!! I Think ET will be towards the end of next week, It depends when they decide to trigger and if my estragon levels stay down this time.

Jenn - I love the sound of your summer vacation – can I carry your bags. PS when we were in Paris it was warm and sunny, my DH has been there 3 times and he has never struck rain (I always think of London as being wet and cold – for no reason other than I think it is…..)

HRobinson – I think the shots are a bit of an addiction also. Hope you are keeping well, is your DH back to 100%?

Souris Stay around, don’t worry if you don’t post every day – it is hard to keep up – all the best with your stims

Tanya – Your babies are coming home , lots of hugs – I am so excited for you – roll on our first BFP !!!!

Jen – Glad you are feeling a little better, your turn will come, know that your babies are waiting in the wings getting ready for their time. I find everyone here is great at perking each other up and giving great support. Dancing with the Stars is the same as the USA version but we have NZ celebrities and NZ dancers. It is amazing how good some of them are. Say Hi to Texas for me my DH lived there before he moved to NZ

I’m getting a little concerned, my estergon is higher that it was this time last cycle so I’m getting worried that it is going to go up too high again. I had another blood test this morning so I am waiting for a call from the clinic to see what it is. I have an ultrasound on Sunday morning and I hope they will let me trigger that night so ET will be on Tuesday…..

I hope you all have a good day/evening.

Love Angela

Arizona - I do hope that your test comes back Ok. Good luck with the sono I will keep fingers crossed that you get to trigger soon.

Jenn - I hope your scan goes well. Wishing the best your way.

Just had a call from the clinic my estergon level is 14700, which is 4000 lower than it was at this stage last time so I'm feeling a bit better about that. They wanted me to go for a scan tomorrow morning instead of Sunday (when I should be on that flight with mum) so it looked like I would have to cancel my trip with mum. After talking through a few options with them I've managed to get them to book me into another place for a scan later this afternoon instead - It looks like my trigger will be Sunday night but could be tomorrow night (Saturday) if everything has grown nicely.
I am really excited - I think I may make it to EC this time !!!!

Well ladies it looks like I am out. All 7 of my lil ones are way behind on day 2. Clinic called and said they are pretty sure that ET at this point will be cancelled. The embies are 1 - 3 cell and the other 6 are only at 2 cells. They wil only transfer day 3 with 8 cells and its not looking like my lil ones will make it. I would love to say P&PTs would help this but not this time.... Sorry to be so negative but I can't see anything positive about it. I will try to do personals later.

A very sad

Hey girls-

Steph- I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope things get better. You never know what could happen with these little embies.

Tanya- Good luck!! Hope everything goes smoothly!

Angela- glad to hear your good news! I am glad everything is going well with your levels. Big relief I'm sure! I should get a call this afternoon about how mine look.

Real quick- we are going out of town soon. I had my appointment and first scan. I have 3-5 on each side. All measuring 6-9. whatever that means. The nurse was encouraged since they are all growing close to the same size and that is after only 2 full days of stimms. I go back Monday and they said hopefully we will see a jump. GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!

I'll try to check in on ya'll this weekend. Have a great one!!
Jenn

Sorry I don't have time for more personals, but I could not just read that and close the window...

Steph,

I was simply devastated to read that news... I have a big lump in my throat right now... You were apprehensive during your stimming and checking that follie count so closely and now that you had made it through EC and had a good count to cheer you up, this happens... oh, how disappointing that must be for you! I'm so sorry! To make it that far and then having to face that no ET will happen... All I want to do now is hold you very tight on my heart and send you and your DH my best vibes. Please do give us news when you get the chance, for we care about you sweetie, but we'll all understand if you want to take a break for a while.

*hug*
