Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

IrishHope - Good luck with the fresh round and Puerto Rico sounds fabulous! We've also talked about squeezing in a vacation, if this round doesn't work. And if it does, we're going to squeeze one in after the 1st trimester :)

Neffi - Have fun at the 76ers game, it's great to do something to ease your mind.

rlk1 - Wow, you have to wait 18dpER, that is cruel and unusual punishment :) My beta is scheduled for 4/7, which is 14dpER.

suzhan - Excellent news about hearing the heartbeat, hang on to that great news and keep the PMA, you're going to hear a healthy strong heartbeat next week!!

boluwa - 597 is a high number, wonder if there are 2 in there :) That is so exciting that you'll have your u/s next Friday, that is not too far away.

ann d. - I know it is so difficult to keep the PMA every day, but that's why we're here, to help you out :) Try not to think of the worst and have faith that your little one is snuggled in and ready to show that strong heartbeat very soon!

As for me, just sitting around..same thing I've been doing all week. I don't mind so much being at home, but I'm usually puttering by doing laundry, cleaning, working out in the yard, or something. I'm working from home this week, so lots of email, etc, but just not the same. Good PMA so far, not bad for it being my 2nd day :)

Feeling better right now. Bought an HPT!! I came SO close to testing today, but I started thinking isn't it too soon??? It is 9dp3dt. I think that's too soon. My beta would be 12dp3dt. Anyone know if an HPT will even pick up anything??? If not, I won't bother.

Ann - I think it's still pretty early....I can't tell you not to do it, since I'm an hpt addict, but just remember, testing this early has a high rate of false negative - meaning it might show you're not pregnant when you really are, just because a lot depends on how senstive the test is, when you test, etc etc....Even if you think you can handle seeing a negative, you might feel differently if it were to happen, again because you're early. Now the good news is if you go ahead and test and get a positive, chances are it's real because the trigger shot should be out of your system. I can't tell you what to do but just really think about the pro's and con's before you make a decision to poas.....good luck!

(Just fyi, I didn't get my bfp with my 3rd cycle until 10dp3dt - the day before it was blank and I was devastated, but just 12 hours later, it was positive - go figure....)

Thank you Suzhan! Your words were really helpful! I did not POAS today and plan on waiting at least another day or two. You're right. Thinking you can handle seeing a negative and then actually seeing it are two DIFFERENT things.

I'm not worried about the trigger shot since I didn't get one this time. (I had an FET.) However, I don't want to be let down if I see a negative right now. Maybe I'll rethink it for tomorrow or Sunday since I'll be 10dp3dt and 11dp3dt. Like I had mentioned before, I don't know if I want to wait until Monday for the results since I am back to work that day.

Thanks again!!!

Happy Friday!!

angram - I totally understand. Especially when you start praying for people, I find myself getting wrapped into everyone's world. I'm so happy to see the BFP, and I understand and sympathize when the BFN come around too.

suzhan - We'll just keep praying that your baby just grows strong. It seems to me that the heartbeat is within the #'s for what they want. PMA!!! Grow, baby, Grow! :D

Neffi - I hope you are able to enjoy the game tonight. I find moments where I'm able to forget about the IVF "thing", and it's pretty enjoyable. I'm still praying for a BFP for you!

Ann - I'm praying for your BFP on Monday too!!! Don't be afraid to cry if you need to. I've had several breakdowns in this process....nerves, anxiety, sadness. And I always feel better afterwards. Hang in there and try to keep with the PMA. I know it's hard. Let us know how it goes on Monday. I'm not sure about the timing for POAS. I did mine the day before my beta and got a positive.

IrishHope - Oh Puerto Rico sounds GREAT!!!! Go enjoy yourself, drink a margarita - or two, or three, and relax and enjoy. April/May will roll along before you know it.

rlk - I'm feel pretty good and am trying not to worry about anything. I've really been taking it easy. My lower abdomen feels tight, and everyone once in a while I feel a twinge or two. We're looking forward to the u/s on 4/9. This is my first IVF and our first pregnancy, so I don't know what "normal" is. I am running to the restroom more frequently now. *ugh*

Sticky baby dust for everyone!! :D

Good Morning Ladies,

I'm a not feeling too good this morning, I don't feel pregnant, and I don’t have any symptoms except for my swollen boobs. With my first pregnancy, I felt it through out, morning sickness that last the whole day, I got it.
This time I got nothing, I don't know if it is normal or not. I don't go in for u/s until Friday, which is torturing for me I wish I can do my own u/s. Once we hear the heart beat, I think am going to buy one of that equipment that you can hear babies’ heart beat at home.

I feel worst than I did when I was on 2ww, I am freaking out; I don't know if the baby is still there or no. I freaking out, I need to come myself down.

I FELL NOTHING................HELP!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry for complaining, but nobody in my family understands what is going on with me right now.

Boluwa-- Relax-- you got your BFP! Your baby is in there! Lots of people feel nothing for at least the first 6 weeks. You are just worrying about nothing! Everything will be fine! Relax and enjoy the fact that you are pregnant! Think of all the people that dont even know they're pregnant for months!!!

Suzhan-- Im am so glad you saw the heartbeat!!! Im sure at your next appt it will be good and strong!

Rlk1-- how are you doing? Is the 2ww getting to you?

J&C-- its good to hear from you! How are you feeling? WHen is you next appt?

Ang-- glad to hear you get to workat home....thats good so you're not on your feet alot!

Ann d-- be strong...dont POAS! www.peeonastick.com says it can be detected by the sensitive tests as early as 10dpo. But look what happened to me!

As for me, I have been strong yesterday and this morning. I am going POAS tomorrow becasue I cant handle getting the news at work on Monday. The Sixers game was fun...but I had to go to the first aid station to do my PIO shot at half time! :) I am feeling a lot of heartburn and I am having a discharge. I am still having random cramping....I know most of these symptoms are from the Progesterone. I dont have sore boobs this time though

boluwa - You and I are in the exact same boat. Today I don't feel anything, but I just keep telling myself that all I can do is relax and enjoy the moment. I know it's tough when you don't have symptoms, but hang in there and try to relax....I know, much better said than done. I tell you what - I'll be relaxed, if you can be relaxed. Is it a deal? Huh, huh, huh?

Neffi - Hey Neffi - Don't you just love all of the places you get to do PIO shots? I have to go to Oklahoma City for a 1 day business trip in a week, and DH is going with me just to give me the shot. He'll play golf the next day, while I'm in my meeting, then we'll pick him up at the golf course on the way out of town. You just have to love it. I'm praying for you. :D

Oh - almost forgot. My next appointment is on 4/9 for our first u/s, which will be 6 weeks and 3 days. I'm just trying to relax and am hoping for great results on that day.

Hi all--

Suzhan: I'm so glad that you were able to hear the heartbeat. I know you're probably still on pins and needles, since they want you to come back in a week. But...it sounds like you have a fighter. I'm sending positive thoughts your way that all will be good at your next u/s!!!

Angram: So you're no longer on best rest anymore, right?!? I thought it was so liberating to actually leave the house after my two days of best rest!

Boluwa: I know this process is nerve-wracking, but I don't think lack of symptoms means that your pregnancy isn't going well. I've heard that pregnanies can be drastically different (a woman might have all the symptoms in the book for her first pregnancy and none at all for her second). I know it's hard, but try to do something to keep your mind off of things! How's your chest pain? Is that getting any better?

Ann D.: So...I bought those evil HPTs too. They're in the house just staring at me and taunting me! I'm thinking I'll POAS on Monday (that will be 9dp5dt). I figure since a lot of people test 14 days after their retrieval, that I should be able to tell by then. But...we'll see how couragous I am come Monday morning!

Neffi: Sounds like the game was a lot of fun (minus the PIO shot at the first aid station  )! I have those same symptoms too (but no heartburn). I'm driving myself nuts trying to determine if they mean anything!!!

J&C: I can't wait to hear about your u/s!! How exciting! Glad to hear that you're doing well and taking it easy! So you have to continue with the PIO shots? My clinic switches to suppositories if a patient gets a BFP. It's so weird to me that the clinics do things so differently!! Am I the only one who thinks that's weird? It makes me wonder if my clinic is doing things the "right" way or the "wrong" way. Then again, I can always find something to worry about!!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Boluwa - PMA...I don't think no major symptoms means anything - I know it must be nerve wracking but I truly think you still have that BFP!!!

RLK1 - 2ww is dwindling...hopefully this wknd will cruise on by and your beta or POAS will be even closer to your BFP!

Neffi211 - sending BFP vibes your way! I hope when you POAS you see the lines clear as day!! Fingers crossed...

Suahan - congrats on hearing the heartbeat! Sticky vibes your way!!

ann d. - I think it's a tiny bit too soon - hang in there and maybe Sunday or Monday morning...it's sux I know the waiting and analyzing every sign of your body but stay strong - BFP is around the corner!

angram - keeping busy is good for sure! Hope your 2 ww flies by for you!

Went to acupuncture this morning - it helps me relax and de-stress. We booked Puerto Rico last night so for the first time in about 10 weeks I feel a little like we have our life back/happy and not obsessed with infertility. I hope it helps us "gear up" for late April/May fresh cycle...

Have a great wknd all!!

Irish Hope... Congrats on booking your trip!! How fun!! I'm glad to hear you enjoy those acupuncture appointments. I think those appointments and your trip will definitely help you de-stress before you start on your fresh cycle!!

Well... thanks everyone for your input about POAS. They have helped me decide not to POAS today either. MAYBE I'll do it tomorrow. I don't know. We have company coming over and I don't want to spoil the fun IF I get a negative. I keep telling myself what's done is done and all I can do is wait. It's been helping me to calm down a little. Hopefully the next two days will fly by!

Neffi... Glad to hear you enjoyed your game! Our time is coming soon!!! Isn't this just crazy??? The wait time is unbearable, but let's keep busy busy busy!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

IrishHope: How fun!!!! How long will you be gone? What resort are you staying at (just so I can live vicariously through you  )?

Neffi: Hey cycle buddy! What are you doing to keep yourself occupied this weekend--anything fun? Nothing fun and exciting here--just CONSTANTLY thinking about the 2WW.

Ann D.: Here's hoping you get two bright pink lines tomorrow (if you decide to POAS)! Your will-power is making me feel guilty for doing a HPT on Monday (FOUR days before my test date). But...come on...who can really wait 18 days?!? Apparently, not me!!
