kimm14,
My RE told me first 12 weeks is not OK to color your hair as anything chemical can affect babies health.

Hi Kim - I am also concerned about the hair coloring issue. My stylist told me she could dye my hair in foils, similar to when you highlight. She told me that it would be easier to prevent the dye from touching your scalp. I think this makes sense, but I would rather be careful. I have some serious white hair that comes in at the temples that looks terrible if I don't color. I hope to get more clarification on this topic.

Hi girls... I just wanted to send a big good luck hug to tortilla chip...I hope everything goes your way:)

I have been quite crampy last night and this morning intermittently...I'm so afraid that it might be AF, but I really feel like this is my time. So, to HPT or not to HPT has been the question flooding my mind lately...Let me know what you girls are planning on doing...Inquiring minds want to know. I only have until Wednesday...you'd think I could make it, right?
Take care ladies.

hey guys

Yes i think I will skip my hair appt this week and reschedule for next week - at least ill know if im pregnant or not by mon. Antoak - i would so test if I were you if wed is your day. I think whatever you get this close to wed will be pretty accurate. I personally feel it will make it easier on me to test a few days before my test. if I get a neg, there is some small hope but at least i can start to accept it before the dreaded beta phone call. My test is mon and i will test on fri and sun. Good luck! My poor dh I was such an emotionally wreck this weekend - depressed, sad, really bitchy - u name it - permanent pms! I dont really have any symptoms either and am starting to be really down about this cycle - maybe jsut dont want to get my hopes up like last time. Our clinic made it sound like we were the perfect candidates and then everthing went perfect last time and we were devastated. Im hoping the 2nd times the charm for us but i guess well see. The more i read that it takes the avg person 3 times, the more nervous i get. of course you know everything you read on the internet is accurate :-)

Antoak: I have a good feeling for you. If you are having that crampy feeling I dont think it is a bad thing. I hear that a lot before someone gets a BFP, plus, if you are on progesterone, you will not get AF so dont worry about that! I am trying to be strong and not POAS. I test Thursday and I really think I am just going to wait. I keep having horrible flashbacks of all the months and HPTs I have taken in the past and I just hate that feeling when it is a negative.

Well, ladies...I am off for the week to the beach! I will be thinking of you all and my fingers are crossed that we get lots of BFPs!!!! I test on Thursday and will find out on vacay with the fam. This means i will stay til friday and have a great time, or I will pack up and drive home in tears on thursday. (Hopefully I will be writing you all on friday then!) Hang in there for those of you also testing this week....Talk to you soon!

sweetmomi: August 13
Hommy: August 18
emfossum: TBD

antoak: Only a couple more days!! How are you holding up? Have you decided to POAS yet?

kim & emfossum: I kow that they say foiling/highligting your hair is okay during pregnancy. So I would think that as long as you aren't dying it with the dye touching your scalp, you should be okay. And Kim, my RE also said we were perfect candidated, and it didn't work on our first try either, but I feel cycle #2 was better!

babyloves: How are you feeling? Did you have to go back in for another beta? When is your US?

rn2005: Enjoy your trip!! Can't wait to hear your news!!

Has anyone POAS yet? I think I may go tonight and buy a 3 pack, and begin testing tomorrow morning, then Wed morning, then Thurs morning!! I am a very impatient person, and Friday seems so far away!! :? Hope you all have a great day!! Baby wishes to you all!

Hi Ladies!

I am so sorry to have been MIA for the weekend! We had soooo many plans that it kept me running all the time. We were out each night and didn't get to bed until around 1am Fri-Sat-Sun, so I am absolutely exhausted!!! Last night was worth it though, because we went to the Coldplay concert, which was terrific!

So, here is what happened: while I was at Batman movie on Sat night, I went to the bathroom and noticed a drop of brownish-red blood in my undies. (This would be 5 days post 6dt) and then last night at Coldplay, I had more pinkish blood. Do you all think this is implantation bleeding??? Or would it be way too late for that since they probably would have implanted on Tues or Wed at the latest?

As far as symptoms go, I am just really, really tired all the time. My boobs feel full, but not really sore, so I am attributing that to the shots. But, no nausea or anything like that.

tortillachip: Good Luck today!!! Babydust Babydust Babydust!!!

As far as the shots go, my DH and I have a system that really works for us. 1) I sit on an ice pack for 30 minutes or more until my butt cheek is really numb 2) He gives the shot in the upper outer butt quadrant (we did it more to the center a few times and it was MUCH MUCH worse. 3) We have a buckwheat heating pack that goes in the microwave for about 1 minute and after the shot, he massages the injection site for about 2 minutes followed by the heating pack. I sometimes feel nothing with the process and other times, just feel a tiny bit of discomfort, but nothing bad. The massage and heat works wonders so that I don't get Progesterone lumps and bumps.

I hope it gets better for all of you who are having problems tolerating the shots. I also can't wait until they are over!!!

Well, I have to go to work, so more later!!! Thinking of you all!!!
Hugs,
Elisabeth

Hi everyone!
Jharris: thanks for updating the beta list and thinking of me...how exciting is this week going to be!! So many betas..i'm wishing BFPs all across the board!! :D Its so hard to be patient i know, but try not to worry about symptoms...i'm still not nauseous, no more sore boobs, not peeing more or anything..just slightly more tired. Do have an occas cramp which is scary...POAS helps to give u a clue before the beta call so ur a little more prepared for the words uttered by ur RN on the other line...

My 2nd beta is 1706 (18dp3dt)...and i go in again on wed 8/6 and i guess hopefully then they'll tell me about when the u/s is... :D

Hi everyone,

I had ER this morning and I am feeling pretty good. I didn't get sick from the anesthesia which is a blessing. I had surgery once before and I was terrible sick. They knew in advance an added something so that it reduces my chance of getting sick...and it worked. My body is a bit sore, but other than that I feel fine. They retrieved 13 eggs, and will perform ICSI this afternoon. I should get the fert report early tomorrow, and then we will discuss the transfer options. I was told today that they are shooting for a 5 DT, but will know more tomorrow. I thought this was interesting considering I was told before that because of my age they will likely aim for a 3 DT. I am really trusting them at this point and trying not to lean anyway at this point.

My DH took the day off and he is napping next to me. He has been so wonderful through this process. He made me the best lunch and we discussed how this is different than trying to conceive on a private balcony overlooking Lake Coma...so we will just have to pretend. There is something beautiful in giving so much of our energy because we want more than anything to have these babies with our wonderful DHs.

Well it looks like everyone is waiting for betas... I am wishing all of you the best in your wait. When I was pregnant with my daughter I didn't have a single symptom different than my actual period. What was interesting is that a day or two before I just felt that I was pregnant. I took a test and sure enough. After that my most extreme symptom was fatigue. I took many naps!

Thinking of all of you.

BFP!

Post by dcdiva »

Ladies you are going to think I am crazy cause I went from non-chalant not stressing in the 2 week wait to I have to POAS RIGHT NOW. I did it at work for crying out loud and I got at BFP!!! Are very dark BFP. I am not suppose to test until Friday, so I am freaking out as to is this real or a false positive. I took the trigger on on 20th of July so you would think it would be out of my system by now right! How long does it take to get out of your system. I had a 5 day 2 blast transfer 8 days ago. There is no mistaking the double line on the test. I was having period like cramps on Saturday so that is what threw me into a tailspin thinking AF was coming. Now I have no symptoms but a positive HPT! Yipppeeeeee pray for me. I am trying not to go over the deep end. Is this real???

Babylove - I am on the endometrim suppositories. My doc said the insert is just a means to deliver the medication. The meds are absorbed in the first 30 minutes and the pill form it is delivered in is not absorbed by the body so you will see it all come back out. It is very messy but better than shots imho. TMI but I have been wearing a thin pad since I started this stuff as a panty liner can't keep up.

I forgot to add that I only took a half does of the trigger shot so with the research I have read it should be out of my system by now since it has been 16 days since the trigger. Even with the highest HCG trigger it takes max 14 days to clear so I am really really keeping my fingers crossed that this isn't a false positive.
