Ktelise I hear you about never knowing what is coming next. It seems like I have a small window of feeling energetic each day that sure doesnt last long enough. I went to my first ob appt today and he did a pap, but I hadnt had one done in 1.5 years so I was overdue for it. In your case I would explain to the ob how sensitive your cervix really is - I cant imagine after hearing about how much trauma all that spotting has caused you that they would insist on doing it right then. And you're not too far from the second trimester anyway.

Thank you for the warm welcomes ladies I love that I'm part of the belly club now(well,bellies to come soon club ) I also really appreciate the HOPE I now have that my m/s may end soon from your posts. It has been a long time sense I've felt this way and it isn't much fun. I won't complain too loud-I'll take whatever comes with this miracle!

Claudia-I'm so sorry for your crazy scare but don't give up yet. Last week when I bled it was definitely not what I would consider spotting. I had a lot of bright red blood and felt terrible (I don't know if it was more cramping or worry/sick to my stomach feeling because I was so beside myself). Take it easy and we'll be praying for you!!

So I just got back from SnS and they still see the sac and fetal pole but they won't know anything until they get my beta numbers so please cross everything they are still doubling.

Yesterday was soooo scary-I seriously passed a huge blood clot that I could have sworn was the embryo-but the RE said that bleeding/blood clots was more common in IVF cases. I am not spotting/bleeding anymore so I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worse! Will update later...

Oh and the RE said I was 6 weeks on Tuesday instead of Sunday which is weird since my 3dt was on 3.10.10

Claude- I'm thinking of you and sending you good energy. I know how scary a bleeding episode is. I had one a few weeks ago. Red blood with mild cramps that reminded me of when AF was coming. I was so upset. Turned out to be a subchorionic bleed...and after the bleeding stopped, I had dark brown like discharge with clot looking tissue. All is ok. I spot (dark brown) regularly...just seems to be a normal thing with me. I do have twins, however...and this is my first pregnancy...so maybe that makes my uterus more sensitive. I'll be thinking of you. Good sign they say the sac and fetal pole!

Claudia - I am crossing fingers and toes for you! I am hopeful that all will be well for you! I know how scarey bleeding can be. My RE said that the bleeding could be because of them. I didn't ask what he meant specifically, but I figured he meant the IVF process, all the drugs and such. Keep thinking positive!

Thank you all for your support and kind words! Just got the phone call and its GOOD NEWS!!! Beta is over 6000 and e2 and progesterone look great! So they said to take it easy and come back Wednesday when they will hopedully see the hb! Aaarrrggghhhh so releived! Personals later:)

Hooray!!!!!!! for good news!! I can only imagine how nerve wracking that must have been for you and your DH.
Now we just have to relax until your appt on Wed - why do these appts always take soooo long?
Wait - now your RE is saying that you're actually 6 weeks? Is your EDD the same? So confusing. I 'm so happy that it was just spotting - now cheers to no more spotting! xoxo

Lou After all the conversation yesterday with the ob about WALKING on a treadmill, I read last night the mini booklet of pateint pg info that they gave me yesterday, and right there in black and white it says that moderate excersise is beneficial during pregnancy! it also said exactly what you said about keeping your HR below 140. I guess my ob should read his own handouts, huh?

Good morning Ladies!! I'm sure a lot of you are busy wit your Easter plans but as one of the Jewish girls on the thread I figured I had a few minutes to write personals!!!

Lou-I can't wait to hear how you tell your family today!!! So excited for you and so glad to hear that you aren't feeling any symptoms! Buying maternity clothes must have made it seem real to you!! I can't wait to go shopping with my mom and buy new cute clothes!!!

Katie-Glad to hear you had a good first OB apt but bad DR for telling you not to exercise!! I can understand not starting something like spin, but walking, elliptical, bike, and yoga are all encouraged! Hope you get a better DR next time you go!! Is your OBGYN in NJ? My RE is telling me that my pregnancy is 5w5d today instead of 6 weeks even though my transfer was on a Wednesday which means my retrieval would have been a Sunday since they were 3d frosties?!?! I thought that made me 6w today?!!?

sara-you already have m/s? Those twins must really be doing it to ya!?! I don't have any yet but I hear it happens between weeks 6 & 7 so I'm not looking forward to it!!

ktelise-good luck with your OB apt and hopefully they wont do a PAP so you don't spot. From one spotter to another I can understand the scariness of it!!

Karen-how are you feeling? Are you officially in maternity clothes yet?!?!!

Ronda-haven't heard from you in awhile and just wanted to say hi and hope you are doing well!!

AFM-the bleeding is almost non-existent (sometimes when I wipe there is the faintest of spotting but NOTHING like I experienced on Friday). I really hope Wednesday goes well and we see a h/b and that will put some of my anxiety to rest. BTW if anyone is basketball fans and watching NCAA root AGAINST Duke on Monday night cause if they lose my DH wins his office pool and could win like $500 bucks!!! My 30th is at the end of the month so mama wants a good gift!!!!! Enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and happy holidays!!!

Claudia I'm sooo happy to hear that your spotting is done with! Who needs that kind of trauma this early on? We all hear of how its so common with ivf, but you can really be prepared for when it happens to you. Yes, finally I have a Dr thats only 15 minutes away! I chose them because of where they have priveleges (sp?) to deliver me. There was an ob that I really liked but she is very hard to get an appt with and she only has priveleges at a hospital that would take like 40-45 minutes to get to and I have a funny feeling that on the big day both my DH and myself might be flipping out to drive that far! At least this new hospital is close by! There are 4 OB's in this practice so I'll end up seeing all of them, but my next appt is with the same Dr that i just saw. I think he just told me no excersise because after hearing that it took 7 tries to get me pg, I think that makes him a tad nervous
I put your Er date into IVF.CA.com and they say 6 weeks for you with an EDD of 11/28. So hmmm? Thats where I got my EDD from originally, and when I went to my RE he told the same date as the website did. I"d ask your RE to clarify that, because when you go to your OB all THEY want to ask you over and over is the date of your last LMP! Thats happened to a few of us already and I just kept repeating that I dont know, but that my EDD is 10/24 - Its so weird to spend all this time learning so much about ivf and then going to an OB that is sort of clueless on the subject! I dont watch basketball, but I'm rooting for you to get whatever your heart desires for your upcoming birthday!

Claud cause i havent been on in a few days i have been biting my fingernails reading the last couple of pages and thank god everything seems to be ok. Only couple more days till the heartbeat and then you can breathe a little more. Take care and lots and lots of rest.

Steph. and karen it must be annoying to still see the spotting but its great the twins are all fine.

katie i was so hoping to hear how much your little baby has changed since last scan!! You must have been disappointed but you will get to see it soon enough. Glad to hear your ms is nearly gone, are you showing much?? I know there is lots of opinions about exercising during pregnancy but i would def. get a 2nd doctors opinion just to be reassured.

ktelise sorry to hear you are feeling ill, i am glad you have had no more spotting def. tell your OB before the pap and what is a pap i havent heard of it maybe we have a different name on it or i am just clueless

Lou as you are so fit and healthy your bump may not start to prutrude for a few wks yet, i am same as you worrrying about whats going on inside and would love another scan just to reassure me ah well 2 wks till my next one and its a big one for us as its the furthest we will have gotten (please God)
