It is such a weird sensation isn't it? I haven't felt much for a couple of days now, but like you I keep putting my hands down there and hoping :D

Hope you are ok and taking care of yourself.

Having an emotional rollercoaster at the moment - don't know what's wrong with me, can't seem to stop crying. I haven't felt anything for a couple of days and now that old familiar friend "panic" is starting to set in. I wish I wasn't such a worrier!!! :?

We go at the start of November - I am really looking forward to it.

Sorry to hear about your situation - it's strange isn't it, we love our parents so much, but it is always difficult staying with them again having moved on .... they always think of you as their "little girl". I hope that things get less stressful for you.

How are your bubbles going - still getting that lovely feeling?

Big hugs

Little P

Hi P,
I know what you mean abt panic setting in.. yesterday I was happy, today am worried, since I've felt on one or two taps in the morning and nothing since..
When dh comes in from work, go for a walk with him or just cuddle up :) I'm sure he'll manage to reassure you..
All I can do from here is send you a cyber hug and tell you that you're halfway there and soon you'll be holding your bundle of joy..
You take care of you and lil o..
I'm trying not to brood abt my relationship with my dad..he's also trying to adjust to having me around 24/7 I guess
hugs,

Thanks Smita

I shall do as you said, it always helps!!

I really hope that things get more comfortable for you on the home front - it is difficult, but I'm sure things will get better soon.

I have an image of you being like me, poking your tummy and trying to get a response - the things we do hey?!

Take care of yourself and baby

HI LP,
looks like its just u n me chatting on here!!
Have since felt a few more taps- and its soo amazing- I went to this website called pregnancy.about.com- have been visting it on and off and today i just decided to check my due date according to their calculator.. its the 18th feb- what intersted me what something they have called viability and for me the date they've given is 29/10.. i guess it means no matter what, they shd be able to save the baby if things are ok till then, right?
I dont know what they mean by quickening though..do they mean movements?
And you're right abt me poking- gently though to see if something happens  we're a crazy lot!

LittleP & Smita

I know its worrying when you don't feel any movement but I was told that some days babies are just less active - a bit like us really.

Also sometimes they turn inwards so you don't feel anything as they're not touching you.

If you are really getting stressed & anxious about it why not try & get an appointment with your doctor or midwife & ask them to check the heartbeat on the Doppler machine. I warn you now that you'll spend the next 20 weeks worrying about one thing or another and then, I guess the real worries will start!

LittleP - thanks for the advice regarding the hot water & slice of lemon its really helping to break the chesty cough I've had for the last week.

Take care

I've had a lie down this afternoon as for some reason I have been really tired today, and the moment I was flat on my back I felt that lovely sensation (popping) again. I guess when I'm being lazy Little One reckons it's time to get up!!!

Jude

Thanks for that - I'm just one of those people if I don't have something to worry about, then I start worrying!! :?

I'm glad the hot lemon is helping - I still drink a couple of mugs of it every day. I actually find it quite refreshing now.

How are you feeling otherwise - it's not long now is it!!!

Hello all, I had midwife appointment today and heard little heart beating strongly - that was first time with a doppler and it was lovely - just as special as a scan. Glad to see Jacs is back - hope you're feeling a little better Jacky and thanks for caring about me - I agree that I'm probably doiing too much and I'm cutting down quite drastically in next two weeks. Hope everyone's doing really well,

Good to hear from you - glad the meeting with the Midwife went well. That moment with the Doppler is really amazing isn't it?

How's everyone else - I do hope that all of you are ok and looking after yourselves and your swelling bumps!!

Joy

Officially according to books it is week 12 (although some say weeks 13 or 14 - how confusing is that!!!).

I hovered between first tri and second tri threads between weeks 12 and 14. Now you're 12 weeks come and join us ....

How are you feeling?

Hi everyone

Joy - Welcome to the 2nd trimester. I came over about 12 weeks. I think we wait long enough to get to this stage, so why wait longer! Hope you are doing ok.

Little P - I used to worry about not feeling the baby as well. I would get a quiet day and then the next day, she would be really active! I used to lie awake at night worrying! It never stops I dont think! Ive been told by 2 people recently that I dont look as big as they did at 6 months, which also makes me worry!

Smita - Im so pleased you are feeling the flutters! Its amazing isnt it?

Cheryl - I found hearing the baby's heartbeat more special than the 20 wk scan. Look after yourself, Im also guilty of overdoing things as well! I find it frustrating I cant do everything I used to be able to do, but I know I have to slow down and relax more.

Take care everyone

Kim

Don't worry about what size you are (or aren't) compared to others. I asked my Midwife about this and she said that when they do the scans and/or feel you, if they have any concerns they would always let you know.

I know several people who didn't look 9 months pregnant at full term and they have wonderful healthy children.

Each and every one of us will be different!!

So, other than the comments from others, how are you feeling? Are you starting to get things ready yet?

Joy,
Welcome here! This bit should be a little more easier on your nerves- relatively :D

Cheryl,
It sounds wonderful that you've heard the heartbeat.. I have only ever heard it once on the 18week doppler and that too when I asked my doc for it.. I think in India, they're lot more casual abt these things..

Kim,
Like LittleP says, dont stress on your size..Mymom said she didnt show till her 7th month! You'll soon have a spurt of growth..And have you started those aqua classes you wanted to?
Sending you a bottle of smiles..And yes, the bubbles are awesome to feel.. make it more real..No kicks yet though, when is that likely to happen?

LP,
How're you feeling today?Hows LilO doing? And things are back to normal at the home front..Miss dh so bl!@#y much! :(

Jacs,
How're you?Hope you are feeling better.

Jude,
Hows the cough? Thanks for that bit on babies turning inwards which is y we don't feel them more..

Sher,
HOw're you? Areyou still working? when do you take off?

Gavin,
Hows Gen doing?Has Gemma started kicking harder?

Susie,
How are you doing?
Olivia,
How're you doing, not heard from ya..

Jessica,
hows the decorating?

Carla,
How are the lil ones?Have you found out what sex they are?
Or is it going to be a surprise?
Julie,
How're you and the twins?Hope the appointment went well..

Minnow,
Are you settled yet?Hope things r going smoothly.

Christine, are your bags packed now? You're 33 weeks tomorrow.. wow!
