Hi Everyone,

Got my blood results this afternoon and everything looks fine, I have to go in tomorrow to get my prostap injection and then I have got my first scan on 14th November to see if I can start stimming!!
It has felt like an eternity to finally be on my way again and I am really pleased! I am going to New York on Friday so it is great to be one step closer, so that when we get back we can start straight away!

MBA - I am sorry to hear that you still have your cysts and I hope they go soon, just remember that when you do start it will all go so quickly! I hope it all starts soon for you, just hang in there!

Fed7281 - I am so sorry that you are feeling down, I hope that you get your date for surgery through and then you can get on your way! Try and stay positive and look after yourself! You are in my thoughts!

Vicky77 - I think that we are all very emotional right now because it is a very uncertain time for us all, it is great that we have all got each other to help us through this, I felt terrible yesterday and was really snappy and now today I feel like I am on top of the world!! Strange because I am not even on the drugs yet! LOL

KF'06 - Hope you are feeling a little better today, these emotions we get have alot to answer for!!

Angellica - I am so sorry to hear that it is not good news for your FIL, I send lots of wishes to him, you and your DH!!
I want to wish you lots of luck for tomorrow, hope everything goes well and try to slow down a bit and remember to look after yourself aswell as everybody else!!
Only write if you get any spare time, which it doesn't sound like you do!!

Ellie - I hope that your AF arrives soon so that you can get started on your cycle, Although if you are a psycho and moody cow  without your AF I hope that you are Ok when it does arrive! LOL

Mia - Thankyou so much for your thoughts about my appointment, they must have worked because I did get the news I wanted!! I hope that everything is going well for your cycle!

Lots of baby dust and good luck to everyone else on the thread!

Take Care

Uuugh! Image I went in this morning to get my blood drawn. My clinic has a local office about 10 min. from my house, where I can get B/Ts done instead of driving across town. There nurse/tech that was there today was the same one that could not draw blood from me when I had my PG test back in Sept. She had stabbed me 5 times before she gave up and sent me across town. So I had to drive 30 mins across town to do my PG test. Well guess who was there again today! That's right and I almost walked out. But I thought well maybe that was a fluke day and I really was dehydrated. So I gave her a second chance. Of course this time I only let her stab me 3 times before I said "forget it, I'll go to the other office!". I can't belive this woman. Does she do this often to other people? It's no fun getting pricked once, let alone 3 or 5 times. Geeze! Should I complain about this woman? I'm going to call and get her name so I can make sure to not get my B/Ts where she's working. Ouch, I'm sure I'll have a bruise too because she was wiggling the needle around a bit to try to get my blood to move. Is it me? why won't my blood flow for this lady? I went to the other office and there was no problem at all. Sorry to rant. Thanks for listening. :? Hope you all are having a good day!

Cheeky,
I'm so gald your appt went well. Congrats on getting to go to the next step. You're getting closer to your BFP! :)

MBA,
Sorry about your cysts. I hope they clear out soon so you can get going with your cycle. I've heard of many women having cysts that go away quickly on their own.
I think the acupucture is very helpful. Possibly they can do something for cysts too. I agree getting a good Acupunturist is important. I hear if they do it badly, it can cause nerve damage, although I've never known anyone that has been damaged by acu.

skidoo,
I have felt nausea occasionally while on BCP and mildly light headed sometimes. I think what you feel is a normal side affect. Hope you feel better soon.

Fed,
Sorry you're upset. Hang in there and keep up the PMA as much as possible. I hope all goes well for you. ((hugs))

Jovigal,
Congrats on AF! I hope all continues to go well.

I just got back from my appt with RE. I still have the cyst/follicle (23mm). He put me on BCP which I started today. I go back on CD3, next month, to make sure the cyst is gone. If gone, I will start the Agnostic protocal cycle, which is menupar (sp?) starting on CD3 then stims on day 8 I believe. So, if all goes well, I should have EC the last week of November. SO PRAY THAT THIS NASTY CYST LEAVES ME THIS MONTH! I'm getting around that holiday time where they shut the lab down for 10 days to clean so if I miss it this cycle, I'll have to wait out until Jan to start over again. Oh well, one day at a time. :) Sorry to ramble.

Hopeful-in-LV, sorry about the blood draws. We have a nurse like that at my hospital that I avoid at all costs.

MBA - sometimes I think cysts are a way of nature saying not a good month to start IVF. Most go away on their own and BCPs are supposed to help.

cheekymonkey - sounds like your cycle is finally on its way. I'm so happy for you!

angellica - sorry to hear about your FIL. My prayers are with you and your family.

Erin - when will your surgery be? I wish you the best.

elliecat - hope AF arrives for you soon... I must have made 20 trips to the bathroom yesterday checking to see if AF had hit. and of course it finally did last night. Just hang in there.

skidoo - hope your feeling better. When I took BCPs years ago, I remeber getting very sick on them. RE has me on a lighter dose this time so I hope I don't get sick on these.

Jeck - I'm so happy for you!!!!

Sorry if I've missed anyone, I'm trying to get caught up with everyone on here, lot's happening right now.

hopeful-in-LV, I'm so sorry you had bad experience with this nurse. My husband had blood drawn a couple of months ago and the nurse pulled the needle out somehow the wrong way. He got huge bruise and his arm was hurting for several weeks. Now he is afraid to go to that lab again. So, things happen...
I would definitely get her name to make sure she is not there when you do your bw. I mean once is one thing but if it happened twice....
Some nurses have hard time getting my blood too. I drink tons of water now 1 hour before bw. It helps.

MIA- I would definatly complain about her, who knows how many people she has hurt whilst doing tests and it can't be a coincidence that she has done it to you twice and the other nurses were fine. We are pincushions, but dont need anymore pricks in us than is neccessary.!!

Jovigal- Praying with you that your cysts go away. Be positive and keep imagining them getting smaller and smaller.

Its good to hear that i wasn't the only one emotional yesterday maybe it was a full moon!!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Hi, can I join your group? I go in for my ultrasound tomorrow and hopefully start my stims tomorrow night. I don't do the lupron because it suppresses me too much, so I'm going straight to the repronex. They are trying a couple different things this cycle, like estrogen suppositories to try for a better chance, and a different steroid starting at the same time of the stim drugs. Good luck to everyone's cycle coming up. I usually take a long time on the stim drugs-like 15 days or so before HCG shot, so should be the first week in Nov for egg retrieval.

catch up

Post by Sarah V »

I have not had access to the computer for the past few days and boy have I missed some stuff. Cant recall everything but...

Cheeky Monkey- have been thinking of you, so pleased that you got the thumbs up. Have a fab time in NYC - shop up a storm with those fabbo pounds! Seattle is an interesting place, but it depends what you are into.. it seems very popular with the hiking and skiing crowd - happy to discuss offline if you want - send me a private message.

Jovigal - bum! What can you do, what can you say? Hiccups like cysts are so annoying because they dont seem like they are a key part of the process but boy they sure can form some annoying stumbling block. Fingers crossed for you.

MBA - go Tuesday and good luck getting on that fast track.

Angelica - my thoughts and sympathy with you and your family - hoping your FIL gets some relief soon. A terrible strain with everything you have on your plate, but maybe it keeps everything in perspective.

Hopeful in LV - complain about that nurse - she needs additional training - I mean her job is drawing blood!!!!

Jordan - thinking of you tomorrow

Welcome Kelly and all the best.

I am getting into the groove with the luphron injections, getting faster and stop my BCP on Sunday - am really torn betweeen super excitement at wanting to get stuck in and terrified that I am at this point in an expensive and complex process - and have to face the reality of success (or otherwise). Arggghhh.

I might be getting ahead of myself but what limits have been discussed with you all after the embryo implantation - regarding exercise. I have been told no high impact exercise but what are you all planning on doing??

I have a job as a nanny (enough to put me off the whole thing really) and am now wondering whether picking up the kids will be too much of a strain?? Interested in hearing your thoughts

This also bothers me because I go to the gym several days a week and take dancing classes. My doc told me to stop everything when I start the stims. Walking is ok. I don't know about after the implantation though.... I'm planing to take it easy (if I get pregnant) for at least first month or two. Maybe do walking, swimming. And later I'll ask my gyno if I can start light exercising. Maybe take a special class for pregnant women. I don't know yet. I'm afraid to think that far ahead.
If I were you I wouldn't lift anything (kids including) untill I hear heartbeat. Talk to your doctor. I'm sure every case is different.
:)

I got sore throat today :( I cannot afford to get sick, not now..... Why can't everything be perfect, without any difficulties?
I took 1000mg of vitamin C today. I hope it helps
