We- this last visit, my progesterone was down, 18, but they want to see it at least at 20, so I had to increase to 1.5 too. I am sorry tjis is happening, but I swear it is the blood thinners. And with my last one, I had to keep getting the shots for a week after my beta was playing tricks, so I know what you mean, but, it is better to be safe than sorry. so the next beta will probably be.on.wednesday?
Kala- I am so sorry!
Lyd- how are you doing this afternoon?

Afm- doing fine. Can't wait until friday for my next ultrasound. I am accepting that there is only.1 in there, but.still cant shake my overriding feeling that there are 2. I guess I need to just get over it and accept it. I am not saying that I am not excited about 1, I am thrilled. Sorry, just venting. Like lyd, I have been a bit more emotional lately and before the ivf stuff, that sooooo wasn't me.

Hi LauraN and Sunshine - thanks for asking! i am definitely less emotional today. the work is busy enough and the day is going by.
LauraN - i am looking forward to your next u/s its the same day as mine. Maybe another one will show up during your 2nd u/s. although - i shouldnt give false hopes like that - its rare - but it does happen occasionally. the most important thing is you have one good one in there!

We: I had weeks of bleeding and spotting - all colors from tan to red and from dripping to just being there when I wiped. I know how traumatic it can be... I still have a little concern of what I'll see when I go into the bathroom even though there hasn't been anything there for weeks now.

I understand, from experience, that there is little that anyone can say to ease your mind but when you start to get feelings of doom and gloom, try to remind yourself that there is early bleeding in about 30% of pregnancies.

Put your feet up, get some take out or delivery food and let the dishes and housework just sit there... Your body needs to rest, especially if you are feeling stressed out.

Lauren - Hello fellow New Jersian!! We had a rough fall, didn't we -- with the earthquake, freak blizzard, and hurricane Irene! Hope you fared well. RMA is very good, although they have been described as a "factory" -- so if a very personalized experience is important, you may want to weigh that in the decision. I definitely had an assigned nurse and RE, however for the routine appointments, and even the transfers you can get any of the doctors. I'm also not sure how the cost compares to other clinics.

Kerri - I probably should know better what my acupuncturist did, but I don't. I saw him 3x a week and he stuck a lot of needles in me - mostly in my legs. He also gave me some supplements that I took for one cycle, but not for this last one. I saw him for about 8 weeks before my cycle. But other than that, I don't really know specifics. My clinic does laser acupuncture for the transfer, and I did that too. So I did not mention we had a barrage of tests after the 2 MC, and ruled out just about everything else. So poor egg quality was really the only explanation he could come up with. And he never said for sure, just that was what he suspected.

Leora - I hope all goes well today visiting your friend. I had the same thought as Amy, toxic!

Maria - its a good sign the bleeding stopped. I will be hoping for the best… I hope the next couple days go by quickly for you.

Maria- I just saw your post and I said a prayer for you. I pray the bleeding stops all together and your Beta continues to rise. Like the others said and your RE it could very well be the medication! Praying!!

Crashing for Maria....

I'm so sorry that you are having bleeding. I had a similar experience. I had one miscarriage, and my clotting work-up was negative. My RE put me on heparin as a precaution. That FET stuck, and I continued heparin up until 24 weeks. At the beginning of this pregnancy I did have some bleeding...a few episodes of bright red blood. I just did bedrest until the bleeding stopped, and everything was fine. On ultrasound it looked like I had a little bit of bleeding at the implantation area, and that was the likely reason. By the way, I also did heparin and PIO. The bruising wasn't any worse even with the heparin. i also did progesterone suppositories because my progesterone wasn't quite as high as they wanted it to be. Hope this helps! Thank you all for your support, comforting words, and prayers. The bleeding has stopped. Just very light brownish spotting. Like I posted before, I was at work and suddenly had some bad cramping and lower back pain. Then I went to the bathroom to urinate. When I whipped there was red blood on the toilet tissue. I left work and went home. When I got home I went to the bathroom again and whipped an there was blood again. This happened withthe first MC but on a more sever level. The first MC I had the cramping and lower back pain but severe bleeding with blood clots. The second MC I woke up with sever abdominal pain and then started bleeding heavily with blood clots. I know, so far this time has been quite different but MC is still the first thing that comes to mind. After two MC's back to back we can't help but feel like this is a repeat occurrence. My RE is going to have me go back in for another Beta on Wednesday. We will ave to wait and see what that Beta shows. If it doubles then we are ok so far, if it dropped then we know what append today was another MC. Now i will just try to take it easy and rest. I will be praying for all of you as I always do. Please keep me in your prayers as well.

Kerri: about Accupuncture, I have it three times a month for fertility Accupuncture. The first in the first few days, the second just before ovulation which is just to ease the egg along on its journey and the around day 21 and that's to help reduce the heat in my body (I think). When it comes to transfer I will have it two hours before and two hours afterwards to help with implantation.

We all know that there can be so many explanations for bleeding early on, especially when there are blood thinners in the mix. Put your feet up and eat something sinful!!! That always makes me feel better. As always I am praying for you and thinking of you. Even if I do not post, I am always lurking

Leora - Can I say you are the strongest woman I know hands down!!! There is no way I would be able to visit this "friend" after the birth of her son. People are so insensitive (and crazy) and she sounds like a combination of both. You are such a good friend to endure that torture. Having been through so much, you need a friend that can support you, not tear you down. Oh well, I just wanted to vent I was so mad reading your story. Sending you hugs.

Bodie, thank you for sharing the acupuncture experience. It is indeed hard to know what the acupuncturist does but I think it shouldn’t be much different from what my acupuncturist proposed. Anyway, I will try again for my next cycle.

Ninde, Thank for your sharing. Now I know what the acupuncturist is talking about and why she wants me to track my basal temperature.

AFM, Active for job seeking again. Sent out 25 unsolicited job applications yesterday. I got one feedback several hours later. Thought the company is not hiring people at this moment, the effort is still worthwile. Will try the company’s names beginning with “B” today.
