Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

Warning, long post..

So I just had my first major breakdown (this week :D) for absolutely no reason. I'm off my 2 day bed rest and decided to head to the mall. DH is out for the day, so I decided to treat myself to a new pair of shoes or something. My mom-in-law called and asked me to figure out where we're all having dinner tonight, okay not usually a big deal, but already too stressful for me today. I was then leaving the mall and saw an elderly lady just wondering around the parking lot looking for her car and totally lost. I drove around the entire freaking mall looking for security and nothing! So I drove back to the store and found her, pulled over and asked if I could help. Pretty sure I scared the hell out of her, so she just told me she parked by the men's section at the store and kept walking. She was at the women's dillards, not the men's, so I tried to explain that to her. She wouldn't take my help. So I went back into the mall and asked someone there to help her. They were also worthless, so I went back out to find her and she was far away, so I JOGGED to her! I didn't even think anything about it, until afterwards. It wasn't far, but I know we're not supposed to do anything! She once again did not want my help (mind you, she's about 80-90yrs and totally spaced out lost), so I drove around again looking for security. Finally found someone and sent them her way, no idea if they found her. So I just got home, DH called, and I totally broke down crying on the phone, and that's after he asked me to figure out where we're having dinner tonight with his family...I honestly don't give a damn. He asked if I was upset about jogging, the old lady, or picking a restaurant and I said I have no idea...my goodness I feel like a freak!

Okay, I'm so sorry for the extremely long post but I really needed to share with people I think understand where I'm coming from :D

Hope you're all having a great Saturday.

Hello Ladies,

Thank you so much for your words, I felt so good after reading all the encouraging words.
Although we’ve never met I fell so close to all of you.
I decided to get out of the house after my brake down this morning, first I went shopping for some clothes, then end up at my sister's house.
Anyways, I feel much better now. Still have no symptom, but I have faith that everything is okay.

J&C: Thanks, I promise to stay calm, it nice to have someone on the same boat as me.

IrishHope: Have lot of fun in Puerto Rico.

Ann d.: We would be exited to hear about your BFP, if you decide to POAS tomorrow.

Rlk1: Thanks for asking about my chest pain, it actually comes and goes, but I haven’t had any of the pain today. I guess am okay. By the way my clinic kept us on the PIO shot also until they release us to our ob/gyn.

Have a great wknd all!!

And to think of all the torture I put myself through this week becasue of that one HPT! IM PREGNANT, and it will be official tomorrow! I've never been so excited for Monday to come! Thank you all for your support, I dont know if I would have made it without this site! I feel all of your BFPs coming soon!

Neffi: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm thrilled for you!! I can't wait to hear the big number tomorrow!! You've made me want to POAS even earlier (but I think I'll wait for tomorrow--at 9dp5dt). See that...your Dec baby will be here in no time!!!

Boluwa: Glad to hear that your chest pains are getting better! When is your first u/s?

Angram: I feel so bad that you went through that!!! First, I think it was so nice of you to help that poor old woman. A lot of people would have just walked by her figuring it wasn't their problem. This just goes to show what a good mother you will be!! About the jogging, I can see why you would be worried, but I really don't think it will jeopardize anything. There's a thread on the second page about exercizing that you should check out. There's a woman who exercised the day after her ET and she's now pregnant. So....if exercising didn't impact her cycle then a little jogging to help that woman won't either!! How was dinner last night? Were you able to enjoy it?

Cycle buddies in March/April anyone?

Post by angram »

Congratulations Neffi, that is great news! Let us know how the beta goes.

rlk1 - Thanks for the kind words. We had a great time at dinner and I was able to totally relax. Let us know if you end up POAS, I completely agree that 18dpER is way too long to wait. My beta is scheduled for a week from Monday, so I'll decide this week whether or not I'm going to buy a HPT. Probably will next weekend, since I've never been able to wait before :D

For those of you that have used the HPT's, have you taken them first thing in the morning when it says to or are you doing it anytime during the day?

angram, I think hpts will pick up a lower hcg first thing in the am cause the concentration of the hormone is higher but they often work any time of the day. Hpts are great but they also mess with your head a little bit.....but thats just my opinion.

Especially when testing early, hpts are best used with first morning urine (FMU)....just my two cents.

Thanks, I've always taken them first thing in the morning (ok, really around 4:30AM because I can never wait any longer :D), so figured I'd see what everyone else was doing.

Hi Jeanie, welcome back to the board and welcome to our group. Good luck this time around! Was your IVF 3 years ago successful?

Neffi - CONGRATULATIONS!!! so exciting...

Jeanie - welcome! Great group here! Hope your off to a good start today w/ your injections! Time flies at that point...Good luck!

angram - you are toooo sweet for helping that woman at the mall. As for your "breakdown" you are not a freak at all!!! The emotions with all of this hit at times we can't control...! I did POAS in the morning with a HPT...I wanted to leave no room for "maybe's"...

rlk1 - my clinic does 18 days as well - it's tooo long! Let us know how things go...BFP vibes your way!

I feel good to have a little "break" from IVF world- we leave for P. Rico the 13th and return the 18th...

have a great day ladies! PMA!!
