Hey Girls
I'm typing trying to lie down :) I had ET today & transferred 3 embies. Last time they were very poor...D & E quality & fragmented. My clinic uses the letter rating system.
This time they were all 8 cells & 1 B+ & 2 C's, so I'll take it anyday!!
They gave me a photo of them & also 2 shots of my uterus where you can see a little fluid spec when they insert them. Very cool.

I'm staring at the pics...imagining. I'm PUPO!!!

I can't do personals here..i'm getting a crick in my neck. But thank you all for your support, you're the best.

LoveBug did you ET as well today?? Wishing you all the best thoughts for those embies!

Rin xo

Hello Ladies

Sorry I am not a big poster. But i am reading constantly and wishing luck for everyone.

Wishing many many good retreivals and snuggling embies this week. There seem to be alot. Best wishes ladies this week.

For all of those with setbacks I know it will be just a short time till there is a little one snuggling in for a long stay.

I just finished my first week of BCP's i swear it felt like a month I just wanted to be doing something else already.

Had my first AP today. I am a real stressed type and I had trouble relaxing but I did feel a bit rested afterwards. I look forward to my next visit next week.

I just want to thank you all for what you share, it has been helpful and calming to be able to see that others share int his same journey.

Have a great evening!

Sorry I have been totally MIA. I had family in town...crazy timing, I know. I did have my ET today. I transfered to perfect 8-cell embryos, so I too am PUPO!! I actually feel really great!

I know some girls were chatting about OHSS. This cycle I feel great! I have PCOS, and had OHSS last cycle. The gatoraid helped, but it was rough. This time last cycle I was in misery, crying to go to the ER to be drained. However this cycle I feel fine. So, all because you are at risk, dont worry about it too much!!!

Rinnie congrats on your ET. Are you resting for a few days or will you be up and about. I went to target this afternoon :D I am debating on what to do about work tomorrow...my RE doesnt do bedrest.

Karen
You are strong...no POAS??? Wow!!! How are you feeling?

Rubylee
My nipples are still a little sore. I had some soreness during stims, but the HcG really made the sore. I think its pretty common. :)

ForMaggie yeah for stimming!!! I am so excited for you!!! Please keep up posted on everything.

Anyone else I missed, hope you are well. For all our new mommies to be, welcome!!!

ForMaggie – I have had a headache of varying degrees this whole cycle. The luprone ones were intense. I am on Gonal – F and have had a low grade headache most of the time. As for numbers mine have been on the low side. On day 5, I was only 40 and on day 11 I was only 580. I asked if this was low and she said a little. They like to see around 200 per mature follicle and I had two mature and one really close. Mainly the like to see the numbers match your follie size.I also asked what my LH level was. The nurse said they like to see it consistent showing that there was no surge. Mine have been in the 2 range.

Ruby Lee - I also have had breast tenderness towards the When I added menopur to the mix the first day I was really aching.

IrishHope –really hope you start soon. Glad to see you are not letting it get to you.

Jharris – good luck tomorrow.

Rinnie – Great job on raising your quality embies:D Sending you lots of sticky dust and hope your embies snuggle right in.

Love Bug – Sending you lots of sticky dust also. Glad you are feeling great this time.

Well, tomorrow we see if my laggers have caught and we get to go forward with the cycle. Wish me luck!!

jharris- good luck on your ER today! I'm trying to kill time before I leave for the clinic for mine - as you know, I may only get 1-2 eggs if any. I'm so hopeful right now.

ForMaggie - I did get a Follistim headache for about 3 days, then it passed.

I've decided to do acupuncture next cycle also. Anything possible to increase my chances!

Good luck to everybody at avery point in there cycle!!!

Good morning, ladies! Had my first acupuncture appointment late yesterday afternoon. VERY COOL! She knew things about me without me telling her. It's really interesting. Apparently I have a very low kidney pulse, which is bad news but fixable. She said your kidneys are the gateway to the uterus. WHO KNEW!? I also have phlegm (lovely) in my body and dampness. Not really how that happens, but as I find out, I'll let y'all know. She gave me some herbs for the kidney issue. I am calling my doctor before I take them. The acupuncturist said it is fine to take them as long as I am not on my IVF meds, which I won't be for a while. But I want his blessing first.

It was really relaxing. I felt like I had had a massage. But later I felt completely drained of energy and had a headache. I've read that's normal for some. Probably all that phlegm! LOL

Anyway, I am looking forward to exploring this. I haven't done a ton of research, but I am intrigued now, so I am all over it.

Rinnie--Congrats on your superior eggs and your transfer! Imagine those little embies putting up curtains and moving right in! I recently read an article about IVF and a woman they interviewed said, after ET, she imagined her embies as tiny skydivers. Isn't that a great image? It's your turn, girl!

LoveBug--Congrats on no OHSS and bigger congrats on those two perfect embies. Imagine those little embies putting up curtains and moving right in! Thanks for your encouragement!

Turtle--Thanks for the information on the #s and for reassuring me about the headache. It seems much better today. Hope your laggers get going. Imagine them as marathoners with a strong kick in the end. Boy I am big on the imagery today!

JDC--Thanks for the input re: follistim headaches. I am from North Jersey, too. Bergen County to be specific. What IVF clinic are you using? My RE is affiliated with Saint Barnabas.

Cocosmomma--A book I read recently stated that accupuncture can increase the success rate of IVF by nearly 50%. Congrats on taking the plunge and volunteering for even more shots! If this cycle doesn't work for us, I am definitely going to seek treatment.

My update: Went to my RE this morning for a check after starting stims two days ago and Good News! While working the ultrasound machine my RE said, "You are responding well to stims. You are developing eggs. Alot of them. This is moving nicely." I am thrilled! Now I just need to wait for the phone call with instructions.

Have a great day!

ForMaggie - great news that you are responding well to the stim meds! Keep on truckin'...E/R will be here before you know it.

Hey Everyone, just got back from u/s. Well, looks like my lead follies are hogging all the drugs. They are now 28.6 and 29.6. They grew over 6mm each in just a couple of days  The one lagger she could see was only 13.7. The left follie is now 19.5. I have a feeling that this cycle will be canceled. Will get the call later today. Hopefully early. Hope everyone else is having better luck.

Hey ladies. I will send personals this afternoon. I just wanted to stop in and say thank you to all of you for the well wishes. I had my RE this morning. Everthing went really well. They retrieved 10 eggs, so a couple more than I was expecting! They will be performing ICSI, and we won't know how many fertilized until Friday. :( They will also let me know then if we will be doing a 3 day or a 5 day transfer. But right now, I'm going to take a much needed nap! I will talk to you all this afternoon! Hope you are all doing great!

Turtles: I am so sorry things aren't looking good right now. I am thinking about you!

I'm new at this, so let me see if I do this right:)

Rinnie- congrats on 8 celled embies. Thats great. What you described on all the pictures sounds awesome!! I have never heard of that before. Take it easy today...counting down the days and sending you lots of sticky juice.

MzTia- I know what you mean about BCP's. I've been on them for 15 days and it feels like an eturnity. I stop them on Sunday, it cant get here soon enough. I am the stressed type as well, so as you, I am hoping AP really helps me out, although right now I am a little concerned about the treatment I'm getting, but I've only been there once. When do you start stims? It sounds like you are just a few days ahead of me?

LoveBug How great that things are going so smooth!! I've not had OHSS, as this is my first IVF, but I hear its horrible so I am so glad to hear you didnt have to deal with that this time around. Did they change your protocol? Did they step up the monitoring? My Dr said that PCOSers tend to over produce so he has a different protocol for it and you get US everyday verses everyother day that way he can change up the meds as you go.

ForMaggie Good job on getting to move forward!

coco I'm glad your AP visit went so well. I wish I would have gotten all the details as you did on my first visit. I am starting to wonder if I should change Dr's? I am reading the book The Infertility Cure by Randell Lewis, its all about AP, the points, the moisture, kidney's, liver and whatnot. Interesting!

JHarris 10 eggs is great! Cant wait until Friday to find out how many fertilzed.

Turtles I hope your call today is not bad news and things work out this cycle and you can move forward.

Well, I'm still in the boring stage. I started Lupron today and for some reason I cant get enough food. I am so sensitive that taking anything I get some sort of response. On the BCP's I've had a headache everyday (and I dont get headaches) and my boobs are starting to get sore. The spot where I injected the Lupron, didnt hurt or sting, but about 3 mins later the area started to ich for about 20 mins.

A question I have is I've heard and read that alot of people when they stop the pill they get AF within two days afterwards, even if its a week early. If this happens, typically do you stay on the same schedule, or does your protocal get upped to accomidate AF?

I hope all is well with everyone else. Can wait for the BFP to start rolling in!!

ForMaggie - I'm using RMA out of Morristown.

I had my ER today and thank God we got 3 eggs out of my 3 follies. I think the nurse was shocked when we were happy about 3, but honestly we would have been lucky with 2! Hubbie had tears of relief in his eyes....this whole process has made our relationship even stronger. Time for a nap for me too!
