Evening ladies,

I am like a bad smell you cant get rid of   Mjay and cheryl are right enjoy every single moment of your pregnancies you are only pregnant for 9 mths and it needs to be remembered as a happy time in your life. Dont worry about us girls we are fighters and will get there too and we are here rooting for each and every one of ye.

I have an update on my Chicago bloods it seems i have Killer Cells this is the reason i have had so many failed attempts and miscarriages i am literally killing my embies and babies (ok its not as gory as it sounds!!) Good news is hopefully lots of extra meds and several doses of a drip will help me implant and carry full term. I also have polycystic ovaries (you would think after 6 attempts with old clinic they would have found i had this). So all in all delighted i moved clinics no more "just one of those things" when i get a bfn or miscarry. Cant wait to get cracking again!!!
Have the best xmas ever next year ye will be up to your eyes in diapers!!!!

Ok, first ladies, so sorry I've been so MIA. I read all of the posts and just never respond. Not sure why, but I'm so glad to have all of your support.

gi- that is good news to find out! My doctor out here in California is a big believer in the killer cells and a lot of doctors don't like him for it. He studied out of the Clinic in Chicago where it was first explored and even left his old practice to start his own because the other doctors didn't believe in it. Well, I can tell you, it's important to know. When I first went in for a bunch of my blood work, we tested for two different types of the killer cells which can keep you from implanting or carrying. One came back negative and the other slightly elevated, enough to do the drip once. And since I started and my best friend 2 years ago who also went to him, they've made it less expensive and a bit easier. Used to be a byproduct blood drip but now is a soy based that works just as well and a fraction of the cost. Either way, what they did for me was 2 days before transfer do one dose. A lot of women may do more a few days after transfer and may have to do them for several weeks. They continue to test your blood to make sure the numbers stay down. Either way, I'm crossing my fingers for you that this will do the trick!! Here's an article for you to read more into if this helps explain a bit more, http://www.goivf.com/docs/ivig_intralipid.pdf. Good luck!!

As for me ladies, we just had our 20 week u/s yesterday. Second attempt definitely did the trick and our one little happy, healthy baby is growing great! I may have problems getting prego, but as my DH say's I'm a good oven for this little one growing. We aren't finding out the sex so the u/s picks are stomach up or just the feet, but either way, it went well and really exciting to see.

Take care!

gi- we would never want to get rid of you! I'm so glad to hear that you finally have some answers for what's going on and better yet, that there's something you can do about it! Good for you!

kristy- glad to hear about your u/s and that everything looked good. Keep up the good work :-)

I had my 20 week u/s yesterday too. Everything looks good, babies are doing great, no markers or abnormalities. Cervix is holding up nicely. Still a boy and a girl :-)

Hi Ladies,

I had my 20 week scan today also. The girls are all good and very active. My cervex however...not so good. There is some funnelng and thinning going on. It's measuring 1 CM. I'm not dialated at all, so that's the good news. They've put me on house arrest-AKA modified bed rest. I'm scared bt ready to do what I need to do. My next check will be Thursday.

Take care ladies,

Faith

Merry Christmas Everyone!

My check up yesterday went well. No changes. Still thinned to 1CM, but no dialation. I'll be going in twice a week for a while. They told me this is typical with triplets at this point...scary..but typical. I hope you are all doing well!

Kicking

Post by may2010 »

Was just wondering if any one of you have started to experience "kicking" / movement. When does this happen....they say after 18 weeks...!

Hope you all had a blessed christmas, Wish you all a very Happy New Year ahead.

Hope everyone had a happy holiday! After all the Christmas gifts, the babies definitely have more clothes than I do..haha! It was fun organizing them all in the closet, though!

I am 20 weeks today and still don't feel movement from the twin babies. I can feel the bottom guy that is on his own, but not the twins. I googled today to see if that was normal and of course will be stressing about it until my next ultrasound on Wednesday. I feel like I should be feeling them move around by now. Anyone else not feeling anything yet?

Hi Everyone,

I had another check today, and no change from last week. Doc says I'm fine and to just continue with the modified home activities and to take it easy. he even gave us the go-ahead to go to the hotel we had planned this weekend for our anniversary/New Years! Yea, I'm so relieved.

As far as movement..it comes and goes. The identicals share a placenta which is anterior, so I 've heard it takes longer with that location. The flutters are getting stronger. next check up and scan is Tuessday.

Take care everyone..

Hello Everyone,

Hope you had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year which will bring so many new and exciting changes for all of us.

I had my big ultrasound appointment yesterday and my DH came along, for the first time since the 6 weeks ultrasound. He had a blast and thought it was amazing to see the baby move so fast on the ultrasound.

I will also be keeping the board pink as we are expecting a little girl. DH is extremely happy and all of sudden "the baby" became "she/her" and "our daugther". While I can say that this has not yet made such a difference for me, it appears to really have made a difference for him. I guess father are so much less involved in the pregnancy than we are, so I am excited to see him looking forward to having a little girl to spoil soon.

Hey ladies,
sorry I've been missing. I have to catch up on everything. Happy New yrs. I hope this yr brings us nothing but happiness and healthy babies, also for the ones that are going through rough times, I hope this yr brings you a new beginning and BFPs and healthy babies. Ive been so busy working. I will be doing my registry soon. I feel great. I think my little girl is going to take after me when I was younger and do gymnastics because she is moving and kicking so much. Its the best feeling. For those who havent felt the kick yet u will soon. She kicks so hard u can actually see my stomach move. DH has felt her and is already in love. He has kicked me out the picture and they already have their special bond. Everything is him and her and I say "what about me"" :( but I love it. My boobs omg are huge and I still have a few mths to go. Nothing fits, I have to go shopping. Next specialist appt is next Sat. They didnt get to see her heart clearly so they just want to look at that next time. They say she is doing great and on target for her growth. Cant wait to see her again. I have been craving chinese food and pickles. lol. Anyways ladies have to run. Hope all is well and I wont take this long to write next time. Take care

Hi Ladies,
Hope everyone had a great Xmas and New Years. It was nice to have a break from work and from the computer for awhile!

Ladybug- Good to hear you and your baby girl are doing well. My babies are just the opposite with DH. I'll feel them kicking (and they both do kick hard!), and I'll tell DH and he'll come over to feel and they freeze. It's really funny and we joke about it all the time. He'll feel them moving soon enough! I think I might have been waiting too long to tell him, so we'll see. Yesterday, I was half laying down reading my book with it propped on my belly and my little girl kicked it off of her.

deftones- Oh the leg cramps! My hips are killing me too! I broke down and bought one of those mattress pads and used it last night. I couldn't sleep with it at all though, I have no idea why.

Luckyone- Congrats on your little girl! Isn't that so fun that your DH is all into it now? Awwwww.

Faith- How you holdiing up with those triplets? Are you back at work now? I know the docs said it was fine, but be sure to take it easy and not overdo it, okay?

Allie- I have an anterior and posterior placenta and I feel the boy with the posterior placenta more than I do the girl. His movements are really noticeable and constant. the girl with the posterior, I still feel, but not as much.

May- how are you doing? Any movements yet?

AFM- Nothing too exciting here, I go to the doctor again today (for what seems like the billionth time!). I have been reading in my pregnancy books about the glucose tolerance test and those other tests and I haven't even had a doctor mention them to me, has anyone had these yet? I'll talk to the specialist about it today, but I have a feeling he'll just tell me to ask my OB. Last week when I saw the OB, I had a list of questions ready, but I left them at work the week before and I had total baby brain trying to remember what they were, I couldn't remember a single one! I signed up for all the classes and tours a couple of weeks ago too. I was surprised that they were mostly all filled, I had to call the teacher to squeeze us in, otherwise I was competing with my due date!!!! It all worked out though, so that's good. I'm sure I have more to say, but my brain doesn't want to keep up with my typing these days :-)
