Lou and Franny - I have been stalking the boards here and there. Just don't have the heart to post. It has been such a long journey. Trying to stay on the down low to maybe relieve some stress. I had ER yesterday. They got 2 eggs and both fertilized so kind of doing the happy dance about the fertilization report. Now just hoping I have some good embies to transfer on Friday.

chili - so sorry to see you didn't have any embies make it? I don't know your background but do know that changing protocols can help if you decide to do further cycles.

Good Luck to all!!

So upset today. we had our us and it is not promising. We have 3 good size follicles and 5 small ones, so our RE doesn't think it will be a go this time. Actually he seems to be giving up:( He is going to call us this afternoon after he gets the result of the blood work. I am not ready to give up!! I know my right ovary doesn't give us much since it is a partial ovary, but the left works great, so why give up? I am willing to go in again if we can't do it this time. I wish we owned a punching bag so I could relieve some stress. I will post more once he calls this afternoon.

chris OMG!! yay!! i'm so excited for you. thats awesome news. i totally understand how you feel about joining in on another cycle board. it took me a long time to decide to start this thread, but i needed my old-timers around for the support. its so hard to see all the BFP's month after month and never getting one yourself..i know! i've been very chill about this cycle because...well to be honest i didnt have much hope, but i think it actually helped me this time (crossing fingers), and it looks like its helped you too!! please let me know how it goes on friday. you are always welcome here!!! xoxoxo :D

amanda your RE shouldnt cancel this cycle! 3 good follies is enough to go to ER. heck my RE would be jumping up and down to get 3 follies from me. i think its worth a shot to see what happens. i would try to convince them to keep going, but in the end it really is the doctors decision for your own safety....ER isnt an easy process so they have to be careful. i'm so sorry you have to go through this. ive been canceled twice and its heartbreaking. :(

Chris -- I'm really excited for you. I'm so happy to hear you've got two fertilized eggs growing and that you have some real hope this cycle. I understand your absence. Thanks for stopping in and letting us know how you're doing. What protocol worked the best for you? I'm a low responder myself and we're the same age so I'd value your input and experience.

Amanda -- What!?! Is your RE cancelling you before going to ER? Are any of the 5 smaller ones even close? You are young so those three big ones are likely to have good eggs in them.... and since you only need one good one to make a baby.... well, it's obvious! He shouldn't give up on you. I hope you get to go through.

Tiger- I haven't had anymore twinges or signs of anything since the weekend. Not even a weird pee smell that I've noticed...I know....TMI....hehe. As for which fruit was I near...bananas. It was kinda nice. He said, "Has anyone told you how pretty you look today?" Then he introduced himself and made a few more nice comments. I politely said thank you and left....blushing and smiling. Made my whole day! Not that the man was that handsome or anything, but it was nice to hear from a harmless stranger. I told my DH and he laughed and said...I tell you how beautiful you are all the time. When do you plan to POAS? I think that I will Monday morning...maybe Sunday even. I get antsy when it gets close.

Didi- 20 EGGS!!! Awesome! I am so jealous! But very proud of you! Good job! Can't wait to hear your fertilization report.

Amanda- Great wedding photo! You're a beautiful couple!

Franny- Enjoy your needle free day! Congrats on your wedding anniversary. My ET was the day before my 1st year anniversary. I actually didn't get my husband anything because of the week of with the ER and everything. We talked about it and agreed not to do gifts. I really didn't have time anyway because my daughter was still in school and I had alot of volunteer work I had to do before that week. I made him a nice card and we went out to dinner at the Montage a few days later. He made me a book of poems that he put together from all of the poems he's written me since we met. It was very sweet. Have an awesome day with DH! Best wishes for many more to come!

Lou- Thanks for the exercise advice. I am a really healthy person, which is why when I started seeing cellulite that I was like...what is this? I've alway gone to the gym and do weight training. I'm a healthy eater in general. I don't eat fried or fast food. I read labels. I don't really count carbs or calories. I just don't eat things with a high fat content or bad stuff in them. I eat alot of fresh foods and I've always drank protein shakes. Since January I have stopped going to the gym and started walking more and doing more light free weights at home. For 2 months I did absolutely nothing. My cellulite isn't unbearable...I've just never had it before. My acupuncturist said that I was healthy for my own longevity and that's great, but to get pregnant I need to be a little unhealthy and that I should raise my cholesterol until I'm pregnant. He told me to eat a whole egg a day. I think that the little amount of desserts that I was eating went straight
to my thighs. Now that I am aware of it...I will not be doing that. I have been eating more things like avocado and nuts. It's more fat, but it's a healthier fat. Oh...I almost forgot. I looked at the IVFMEDS site too. I think I will be doing the same next time.

Teresa- My acupuncturist uses a heat lamp on me too. He also uses an electric current stimulator. He hooks a few of the needles up in the stomach area and they pulse. As for the moax stick. I have heard of it, but my guy hasn't suggested me use it. Try it...maybe it's just what you need. Are you on the lupron flare protocol that Tammy talks about? Have you done it before? I know that waiting to start seems to take forever. Don't worry....you'll be poking yourself in no time.

Ester- Zumba sounds like fun. A few of my friends in ATL started doing it and says they love it. Belly-dancing sounds great. I've always wanted to try it! I'm sure it would help with the mid-section.

Ann- I'm thinking of you and hoping for a BFP! :)

Sunshine- Can't wait to hear your new beta numbers tomorrow!

Tammy- Thanks again for the lupron info. You seem to know a little about everything...which I love. :D

Renee- How are you doing?

AFM- I am enjoying alot of 'me' time. My husband is gone to work until Thursday evening. My daughter is still in ATL and will be back on next Tuesday. The weather here in Southern California is finally getting better. It hasn't been very sunny for at least 3 weeks. Not like summer at all...even a little cold at times. On Monday the sun finally came out and I am in better spirits because of it. :D I live a block from the beach, so I walk my dog by the beach daily...sunny or not. I've been shopping and catching up with friends. It's been kinda nice. I do miss my daughter alot, but it's nice to have a break.

Thanks for all of your comments and advice on my cellulite issue. You guys are awesome! I will take all advice and use it to the best of my ability! I am on a mission to get rid of it....or at least to make it better.

*Lots of love*

P.S. Sorry to have written a book. I have alot of free time on my hands. :)

Chili- Oh Sweetie I am so sorry that they weren't able to retrieve anything. (((((hugs))))) Please come here to vent and cry whenever you need to we will be your shoulder to lean on. My thoughts and prayers to you and your DH and I'm hoping that your RE will have a new game plan for you on Monday.

Tiger- How am I doing? I should be asking how YOU are doing!?! What are you doing to keep yourself sane during the 2ww? I cant wait for you to have your beta done especially since you felt "twinges" over the weekend. I just know it was your little ones settling in! Other then waiting for your good news I'm just kicking back waiting for August to roll around so I can get started on my little adventure. I'll be starting Lupron on 8/17 and it seems to be taking forever to get here!

Franny- Yay for the needle free day! :D Also how nice that you and your DH will get to do something fun and romantic for your anniversary. Congrats on 4 years! Wow how nice to be so close to the coast and to know that your lobsters will be nice and fresh. I still cant wait to hear how things turn out with your eggs and have everything crossed and lots of hope in my heart for you.

Chris- Just wanted to wish you good luck on Friday and that I am praying for your embies!

Amanda- I hope that your RE lets you continue with your cycle especially since you dont want to give up. Keep that faith and know that we are here routing for you.

Karin- I'm not really sure what a Lupron flare protocal is but I take 10iu of lupron starting 8/17. I continue taking my BCP with it until 8/21 then its just the 10iu of Lupron. They do SnS on the 27th and call me to let me know if I can start my stims on the 28th. If I do start stims then the have me cotinue to take the Lupron but its lowered to 5iu. I do that until a day before I trigger, I think? Dont know if that's the flare protocal or not? Anyway, I am glad you are getting to enjoy some good personal time. Like I told Franny I would love to live near a coast where the weather is nice and the seafood is always fresh. You can send that cloudy, chilly weather my way at this point it would be such a relief!

AFM- So I was leaving the house for work this morning and happened to adopt a new "baby". I had a desert tortoise in my front yard eating a clump of dirt. I live in central Mesa and for those that dont know its no where close to desert areas. I have no idea how this tortoise ended up in my yard unless its a pet that has gotten away from someone. So, I felt bad because it was eating dirt so obviously hungry and we have heat advisories for the rest of the week. So he is now in my cat carrier sitting by my desk because I didnt know what else to do with it. Weird start to my day!

Hi All,
You are all so wonderful!!! Thanks so much for all your sympathies and prayers. I've taken it all to heart. Thankfully my RE called me today to answer all my questions. He was as shocked as we were with the outcome. He had felt things went really well. He said that mainly because of my age things like this can happen. Unfortunately, until they retrieve the follicles, they don't know what's inside. He said there is still hope. We're going to change the protocol next time to simulate more egg production. We're shooting for a Sept cycle. After that my DH is starting to warm up to the egg donor idea. I'm fine with the donor but he would still like to try to have our own. We'll see how things go. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for all your warm wishes.

The smaller ones were at 8 and 7s and he said we could go to ER Saturday, but he is on the conservative side. I guess he doesn't want to go unless we have more to work with bc last time the eggs did not do well even with ICSI. Part of me wants to go and the other part wants to wait until the next cycle to see if we get more to work with. We did the share risk program which gave us 2 cycles for a lesser price if they fail we get money back. I guess we will see what he has to say at 4p.m. And I still didn't get the damn picture to work..LOL

ER went well. I remember the CRNA telling me she was giving my something just before the RE started and next thing I know I was being wheeled to recovery. Got home late this morning and slept on the couch the whole day. Just had a bit of dinner. Taking meds and going to bed.

20 eggs. They will call tomorrow to let me know how many survived ICSI and are fertilized. They will decide Thursday if ET is Friday or Sunday.

What wonderful news. I'm so excited for you!!! Keep us posted.

I was very disappointed to hear that I had nothing to fertilize. They said there was only one imature egg and several empty follicles. I figured after the Dr's optimistic report after the ET there would be something to work with. I won't know what happened or where to go next till Monday when I see the Dr. I'm so upset. :( I'm trying to keep my mind off it but it's very difficult. Good luck to you all.
