Hey Jackie.. yeah yeah I was crying waiting to read a post from you heheheh! just kidding! I don't have my exact date yet, I have a consult with my doc on tuesday, and if all looks well from some tests I had then I should trigger AF this week and then be able to start shots next week?? so I wait. it will be here befor you know it! especially with holidays coming up and all. I do pray for all BFP for everyone.
I hear you on the wishing to lose a few. every time my iVF's didn't work I would say to myself. "ok here is a chance to drop some" and each time, not as much as I wished. Ahh gotta love being a woman!

Becky - saucy dress. sounds fantastic, I do hope you'll find one in her size! good luck, hope the rest of your weekend went well! it looks like you'll be chatting with you clinic the same day I do!!!! AND we have the same name..ohhh twilight zone :)

Mom- so maybe it was all a blessing in disguise? I really don't think it was fair what they did to you, BUT if you really don't like it there, maybe this is the push you need to loook elsewhere. I can't imagine going back to work for them after all they have done to you! Hang in there. Hope you don't kve too much of a hangover!!!

love to all.
Bec

Welcome Nimble. I am sorry that you have to be joining us but glad that you are also with us. Hope that AF has passed for you now as sure that it will have been rough on you both physically and emotionally sweetie. Take good care of yourself.

Bec - so hoping that testing will bring you good news on Tuesday and that you'll be able to start v soon. You & your SIL. It muct be good to have somebody in the family who understands what you are going through. Hope that your Mum is recovering well

Angie - On an earlier thread there was a whole debate about colouring your hair. A hairdresser was on the thread - sorry cannot recall her name - and she said that putting the stuff on your head was v v low risk. She said - would we all stop using deodrant and nail polish. She said that they all involve chemicals but the amounts are so small that it is highly unlikely to have any impact. For me the grey hair will just stress me out further!!! I shall colour mine next weekend - right at the start of my tmt and then avoid doing it until after I have tested to make myself look respectable for Xmas! I love going horse racing & dressing up. Must have been good fun. Water in beer bottle - made me giggle. I say yes to a coffee or tea and then don;t drink it and swap it with dh's empty cup just to avoid people asking me stuff as to why I am not drink coffee or tea anymore!!!

Jemma - Think that it would be good to get it straightened either just before you start or in the early days of tmt. That is what I am going to do with dying my hair. Then you look nice as sometimes helps if the drugs make us feel a bit down! At least you'll mind will be at rest then for when you are going through all the rest of the tmt and you will not be fretting about what you should or should not do

Jackie - Sorry to have to welcome you to this thread hun but glad to have you here with us. Yes it does seem like I have been waiting for ages. But now so close. Not sure whether to be scared or excited. You have done so well on the not smoking. Definitely think that you should have coffee if that helps you not smoke. Hope that your puppy is now better

Keisha - glad that hysteroscopy has been done and everything looks fine for you. That is good to know even if a painful process

Mom - sounds like you had a good night out. Good to let your hair down after all the hassle that you have been dealing with in your old job

Aunty - you are doing a fab job on the board hun. Thank you so much for keeping us all in check

Now to my UK X Factor pals - Becky, Shantala and Rachel. What a terrific show last night. I thought that it was so fab. Loved Leona and Robert. Even voted for Robert as thought that he needed the support to stay in. Even I am a little bored with Ray and his swing. He will sure have to try something new next week. Nothing to say about the Scots Duo. Never going to do it for me as I love Robbie and I adore that song. Thought that it was probably Nikita to go this week.

Becky - dress for your girl sounds amazing. What about looking on the net to see whether you can found any stores that stock it. Then you might be able to call and even get it send. Just a thought. You are probably on it already!!!

Hugs to everyone else who I have missed. Sorry ladies.

Had my nephew to stay as he is 9 on Friday. Got his pressies sorted whilst he was with us so less to think about later in the week when I start tmt. He is on dh's side of the family and on my side my niece is 6 the same day. Her pressies already sent so all sorted. The more organised that I am then the less things to stress me during tmt. Have bought Xmas cards and figure that I can write them all when I need to sit still! Not one of my strengths.

Think that my ticker is out by a dayand that AF will be Thursday and I'll start injections on Friday - 17th. Aunty - may be you could adjust the board when you are making other changes although I day is neither here not there!

Have a good week everyone.
Lots of Love
Carolyn xx

Hey ladies...Just thought I'd post a quote I found on the hair coloring debate.

"The Organization of Teratology (Causes of Birth Defect) Information Services, which provides information on potential reproductive risks, says that although the data are limited, coloring your hair during pregnancy is probably safe. They point out that these chemicals have been around a long time and no research shows they cause defects in newborns. Plus, very little of the chemical is actually absorbed into your system."

I did look into the straightening (relaxing) question also posted, and they did not recommend this during pregnancy, not necessarily because there's been any definite data to suggest it causes birth defects, but as other ladies have mentioned, because your hair is more brittle and may not turn out the way you anticipated.

You all made me curious, so looked it up, and just thought it might ease your minds. You ladies are a hoot, and even though I haven't been posting much, I am keeping up on all the events. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Later gators! :)

Good evening ladies!!

DH has gone to bed but I am too excited/nervous about tomorrow's appointment (being a first-timer and all that!) so I thought I would catch up on this.

nimble - so sorry to hear about the m/c - my heart goes out to you! but the best of luck and hope you can start January and as I keep saying, you've joined a good thread as EVERYONE on this will get a BFP! :D

bec - what the hell were you doing up at 5.30am??? lol...it's only coz i'm a night person that i can't understand stupid-o'clock in the morning.hehe hows your mom?? good luck with tuesday as well in case i dont get a chance to tell you this tomorrow.

Keisha - welcome and very glad your hysteroscopy went well. best of luck with all your tmt!!

Becky - the dress sounds gorgeous and really hope you find one similar. you can always check stock in the stores all around the country where we all are and if you can find one near one of us we can post it! you'd be sure to find one, no doubt!! haha

lara - sorry AF is late, what a bummer! not long now though! :)

mom - it must be so difficult having to go through a disciplinary procedure "fighting" for your job back when you dont really want it back! on the one hand it is a job and it will pay the bills but on the other hand if you're really not happy there it might be worth looking elsewhere. its up to you honey though! hugs!

carolyn - what a good idea about writing out cards when you're meant to be resting! also, my x-factor buddies - what a great show!!! i caught up with it today as we went to the dog races last night for a friends birthday (first time) and completely forgot we were going. yeah, it was great everyone falling all over the place whilst i was on my J20 (juice)...hahah...no seriously, i was quite a good night and we left fairly early anyway. so anyway, i caught up with it after housework today and it was fantastic! i agree with ray having to try something different soon and am quite surprised simon picked him over whats her name (sorry dont know how to spell it! ). again, i missed what it would be next week - anybody know??

charity - thanks for the hair update. any ideas if the colouring in the UK uses different chemicals?

well, thats it from me. (for now - you know i cant keep away! )

take care everyone

Good luck with your appointment Shantala - let us know how you go!

Hope you ladies all had great w/e's - I have come out in spots - I look like a spotty teenager :( - it must be the progy drug I am popping twice a day. All I can say is it had better be building my lining otherwise there'll be trouble for my doc on Thursday when I see him!

Shantala, Good luck on you appointment. Let us know the result. Anyway, is this your 1st IVF? Sorry if you mentioned it before.

Angie, good luck on your scan. Everything will be great.

Nimble, honey so sorry about what happened. Im praying for your very strong BFP on coming cycle.

Jackie G, I hope Carlton getting better, Why did you eat your soup without offering me? :D :D I also not luck with my diet :(

Becky, the dress sounds beautiful. Do you walk for a store to another? May be this dress searching will help you to loose some pounds. Do you need help? Im happy to help you.

Becleo, Caroline, n Charity. Thanks for info and suggest. I made my decision. Ive been doing hair straightening for 17 years. Twice a year. My hair was total disaster. Before I knew hair straightening, people always thought I had never had bath. Even I had 5 minutes b4. First time, I did hair straightening on 2nd grade High school, a year later I become homecoming queen :D No no... Just joke :D :D Let's see myself without it for a year, hope next year I become a mom :D :D because I give up my 'can't live without' hair straightening. Just found a word 'if you really want something, you must do something you've never done'. Arrrghhhh….. So sorry for my dear DH, this Christmas, he will come with his ugly wife to church

Susette, no tips from me. Im also having difficulty to loose weight. When will you start? FET, isn't it?

Debz, how are you sweetie? Still have AF? How's your diet word? No good result on me last week. I know you do better than me. Hope next week Im back on the track.

Hope everyone okay. Talk to you soon, GBU

Luv, Jemma

Morning Ladies :D

Im in work an bored for a min or two, so thought i'd see how ur all doing.

Nimble: Hi hun, i'd like to welcome you - but i truly wish u wasnt here - for the right reasons - im glad uve decided to go again, and im glad that we can share it with you - welcome back hun - im praying hard for u Xxxx

Jemma: Hiya hunnie, hows u? U sound full of the joys of spring today :D Im glad to hear it - whats happening with u? Any plans for xmas?

Shantala: Thinking about u hun, let us know how it goes - im sure its good news & u'll be getting all excited :D Good Luck Xxx

Angie: Sorry to hear ur comming out in spots, some people react differently to the treatment - but it will be well worth it :D spots will be worth it when u get ur BFP - u wont care then hehe, good luck for ur appointment on Thursday xx

Ssalgadol: I too am trying to lose weight, as u can see from my ticker, im not doing too well - its been stuck at that for 2 weeks now. I have found a good diet that works for me - but i dont have the omph to get going with it - i wish i did, i do try, but the weekends kill me lol, im good all week then it all goes tits up at weekend - still, it could be worse, i cud be bad all week too  I hope u find a diet thats right for you, its a great insentive when other people are losing weight with you, good luck

Jackie: Hugs for Carlton - and some for u too lol  Hows ur diet going/ Anything like mine = crap lol. At least u got ur GIVING UP SMOKING to be PROUD of - i am well chuffed for you - well done hun, thats an achievment in itself, the diet can wait - ur much more healthier now than before - keep at it - ur now officially a NON SMOKER :D good girl xxx

Mom: Glad u had a great night out - sounds like u had loads of fun, its great to let our hair down once in a while, after what we go thru, we bloody well deserve it  Hope u didnt have too much of a hamgover tho lol.

For my x-factor ladies: Wot a brill show on Sat, i was screaming at the screen when the McDoodle bros got in YET AGAIN (sorry, but i just think they shouldnt be there! Much better talent than them hav already left) I agree Ray needs to do summit different - but so does Leona - dont get me wrong i think she is fab, and has a good chance of winning it - but - she always does ballads - i think that Simon should have given a ballad to Nikitta this week and an uptempo one for Leona, maybe we would have had different results then. Ben was fab - but again, he is rock, as Ray is swing - he turned abba into rock, why cant Ray turn it to swing. Sharon was a diaster and should be ashamed of herself the way she acted on Xtra Factor, im sure she had been on the wine - she was getting on my nerves even tho i like her - she was out of order! Phew - so for next week, if i dont see the McDoodle bros going - then im convinced its a fix, and that they are only there to p**s Simon off lol. Heres hoping they go next week

Sorry to all the ladies ive missed xxx hugs to u all! As for me, no news on the dress, we have to go again next Sat to some other shops in hope we can find her the same or at least very similar dress, it was stunning on her and i want her to have the best - its not every year they get to go to a prom is it :D I wish my school had done it when i was there, but this is a new thing over here, and we have only been having proms for the past 3+ years, shame really but glad its hitting off :)

The clinic should be ringing us some time this week about the freezing procedure, DH & i have been thru the mill discussing this, and stilll havent come to a decision - im afraid im the one to blame - im not entirley sure if i want to go ahead with another lot of treatment :? im confused about the whole matter, there are a lot of things to consider (as u are all well aware) and im finding the decision making hard. Maybe it will become easier once the ring us and we will have to make a decision, i just dont know what that will be - Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!! lol.

Well i better sign off for now, i bet ive bored u lot silly lol, read u all soon ..

Love Becky Xxxxx

Hi girls

I haven't posted much but do read and catch up on all the postings!

I was wondering if I could join your group? Had a meeting with consultant today and agreed to try IUI with donor sperm. So we have a consultation meeting on the 8th of January and could start end Feb/March with natural cycles to begin with (some background info - dh had vasectomy, has v. low sperm count, we tried tmt with his without success so now trying something else!) and then medicated after that.

I am so excited!!! I thought stepping back on the fertility roller coaster would be daunting but I'm really looking forward to it. PMA PMA PMA all the way!

Good luck to everyone.....

P.S. For those X-factor ladies - I think Ray should have gone on Saturday but think Simon picked Nikita to go cos he wants Leona (is that how you spell it  ) to win
