Hi all,
We are back from Denver and we had good time with ski and our semi-family reunion - except this year's snow fall was not as good as other two previous years. Here I am showing you all our little girl fighting with Daddy for a good beer after a day of skiing! No, she did not hit the slope, but she was thirsty too!
Welcome, DJB. Trying to get a baby is a long term project - we are here to support each other.
To everyone who did not mind my last post: the encouragement was for myself too, you know. I needed it since I was struggling in writing a grant and part of me was willing to drop it since the chances of getting it funded was SO unpredictable - much like going through ivf cycles. Eventually I came to a state of acceptance and started to tell myself, "as long as I did my best, the rest would not be anymore of my concern" - I mean it will not be my fault.
Jen B, sorry that your DH was almost had enough of the seemingly endless ivf cycles. Have you come to any alternative ways to become parents, or he wanted to stop of thinking about it for a while? This coming last frozen cycle will be very important to you and I wish you have a strong heart beat this time!
Anna and Tammy, glad to hear from you. Happy to know that Andrew is doing better. Eloise still refuses to drink much milk at daycare and it has been this way over two months now! Since she drinks at home and she has not seemed to loss any weight, I am not overly concerned. Our 9 month's appointment with her dr. is coming up and we will find out if we need to do anything special to improve this.
LuAnne, glad to know that you are enjoying your little ones. Sorry that we have not had too many other over 40 future mothers with you this time, but I am sure everyone still remembers the worries that we had during our pgs. I am sure that you also have your worries too with two lives in the tummy.
Sonia, good that your international travels slow down now. I am excited for your coming cycle. Yes, the AF should not be messing up and lining should be perfect to conceive! Flights will be expensive, but it's better to be relaxed at home during the 2ww.
Andrea, how was your appointment with RE? I personally prefer yoga and exercise than drinking the foul tasting herb tea - yea, I had that a lot when I was little, I threw up each time! Generally, if your RE has seen you for a while, he/she should have good suggestions as to using DE or your own eggs. Good luck on decision making.
Chriss, Amy, and Gracie, good luck on your cycles! Do online shopping, do online reading blogs, do whatever to calm your mind and welcome a bfp in the end!
Gracie, I just about posting this one and saw your new post. I transferred 6 of 3d embryos last time and we only had one! My RE prefers to transfer 3d embryos than 5d blasts since this clinic has more success and experience on 3d embryos. However, it depends on different embryo labs and REs. I think you should say to your RE: transfer as many as your think that will bring us a live baby! You have too much on your shoulders already, let him/her take the responsibilities this time! All the best!
Yasmina
