I'd LOVE to transfer two but my RE when the time comes only does 2 if it's day 3 and I've heard day 5 is a better outcome. So guess we'll go with Day 5 and transferring just one.

I'm so THANKFUL for these boards all of you!! I'll know so much when my turn comes! I'm sure I'll still have so much to ask you all though!

Laura-I am so very sorry for your loss....I wish I knew more about this PGD bc my DH has bad MF and I wonder if our embryos are not genetically correct and if so..I want to know so we can make the right decision!!! AFM-Watching the PLAYOFFS!!! NFL that is....Just cleaned the entire house. One more week until my meeting with the RE...Kinda nervous I want to know is PGD a option? Is Micro flare protocol an option? I also experience dark old blood with every period and I wonder if my yterus is not "healthy" and last but not least if this cycle fails how does donor sperm work and can we do IUI??? Think thats most of my questions...oh and why they said my last cycle was the worst? I had the most eggs and fert! IDK.... Much LOVE to all!

I was reading my older posts today and came across the posts prior to my last MC. I realized that I started bleeding October 14th which was the day before I turned 5 weeks pregnant. I just realized that is today. I will be 5 weeks tomorrow. Last time the bleeding started at 4 weeks/6 days. I continued to bleed the following day. Ended up at the clinic the day after that and the ended up in the Emergency Room the day after that which put me at 5 weeks/2 days. But I'm sure I had already started MC the day I actualy started bleeding. The things I think about Thank you God, for allowing me not to have any more bleeding and for allowing us to make it this far.

Lauren-we must have posted at the same time. I'm also watching the NFL Playoffs. We are a pretty big football family. We are rooting for the Saints. Unfortunately, they are struggling a bit tonight. Those are all really good questions for your RE. I pray that they can answer all of these questions for you.

Leora - Congrats on the new job! We are counting down until we find out the gender. I am rooting for a boy, but of course we will be so blessed with whatever we have. January 26th is when we have our gender ultrasound, so I will keep you posted. I am so sorry about your beta roller coaster and how it has held up your cycling again, but at least you get to enjoy your trip without having to stress over IVF. You never know, sometimes things happen a certain way for a reason. Just take the time to enjoy DH. Hang in there girl .

Kerpupples - That is a mighty impressive beta chica!!! Twins maybe or even triplets ???

Lauren - So sorry about your recent BFN - I know how frustrating that is. In terms of the PGD, I do PGD with all my cycles for Sickle Cell anemia. Even though the reason is different than yours, I know that they still consider PGD an "experimental therapy" so they cannot guarantee anything unfortunately. Out of curiosity what type of embryos did you transfer and on what day ... were they day three or blasts on day five? I hope you find the answers you need.

Maria - Sending you tons of hugs and support. I was thinking of you as I have been lurking and thought that your five week milestone would be coming up. Stay strong and in prayer my friend. I love your ticker - such a PMA!!! I really made me smile.

Lauren - the Steelers are out - so I have no interest! (Not that I had any to begin with, not really a football fan like my dad and brothers who bleed black & gold!, but gotta love when your home team wins. Maybe next year!)

Amy (kerpupples) - wow! Fantastic beta! That's only 9d5dt? That's amazing! My beta was 450 at 14p3dt and it was twins! The second set of twins was 200 at 11dp5dt. Of course, beta numbers can't accurately predict twinning, but I wouldn't be surprised. Either twins or a really strong singleton. Congrats! That's fantastic news!

Maria - I love your ticker. Try to be optimistic. Even after everything I've been through, I try to stay optmiistic when pregnant. I try to focus on the fact that "today I'm pregnant, and for that I'm happy". Try to enjoy, even though I know it's hard...

Lydia - again, hurray! If you have any twin-pregnancy questions, feel free to ask. I've done it twice!

Felicia - you are getting so far along! I love it! Thanks for your best wishes... I really hope this vacation is awesome! I also never care what sex the baby is... but I'm always dying to know! I get a BFP and my first thought is "boy or girl". I understand the thrill of waiting until birth - but I never can!

AFM - waiting for my boss to get to work so I can break the news that I'm leaving.... I'm considering taking an 'illicit' vacation day -- ie, telling the new job I can only start an extra day after I finish working here... we'll see!

I'm a bit nervous about switching jobs. On paper, the new job looks much better, but what if I don't like the new people? or the new office? I guess I'll just have to take a leap of faith!

I'm getting frustrating that everyone else seems to be moving along and I'm stuck in neutral. I'm anxious about my next beta tomorrow. I was looking at the beta numbers from after my mmc/D&C and it took 4 weeks to get from 300-ish down to zero (a week to 80, a week to 25 and then a week to 5....) so talking about squeezing in a quick cycle before leaving on Feb 17 is really probably moot. Booo.

I'm actually trying to get excited about switching clinics -- I hope it works! Switching to the other public clinic really wouldn't make sense after switching jobs (it would be MORE inconvinient to work then!), but I'm hoping this 'private' clinic thing works out. I have an appt with the doctor in a week from today.

Leora- Love the tickers. I'm a hometown football girl too. Kansas City Chiefs! No matter what, I will always be a hometown football fan. I haven't paid too much attention to the playoffs so far. My Chiefs didn't make it in and Seattle didn't either. I'm excited for your trip! Hopefully you aren't nervous about it considering what's been in the news lately. I love cruising! I've only done it once but really enjoyed it. I would love to do it again but my DH isn't interested. I may get him to do an Alaskan cruise one of these days.

Lauren- So sorry We will do PGD on our next round if we need to go for a next round. It will depend on what happens with our last frozen embie.

AFM- Had my suppression check yesterday. I have a little lining (avg 5mm) so she wants me to bleed before we start to build up. I haven't started to bleed at all yet. If I don't start on my own then they will give me Provera for 5 days which should get it going. This will put us behind schedule but that's ok.

I start my Biggest Loser challenge on Tuesday. I tried to run today but my legs still are so sore! I was able to do a run walk with mostly walking! I see my personal trainer tomorrow afternoon! Wish me luck!

Cruising seems like such a tacky, 'unauthentic' way to travel -- but I think it'll be great fun! I'm trying to convinve DH for us to get matching pairs of brightly floral Bermuda shorts - but he says no!

So many people are telling me how jealous they are that I'm going on such a fantastic vacation and that I got a new job that just fell into my lap.... and I know those are both great things. But somehow, I can't be happy. I would SOOOOO much rather be 11 weeks pregnant (or have my boys at home, or my other little one, or my other twins would would be almost 2...) than any of the other things in my life. I feel like I should be happy with what I'm getting/have, but I just want a child so badly....

I would rather be doing a new IVF cycle than going on vacation.

Leora: an italian cruiser ran aground yesterday. I dont think you are crazy in terms of what you said about preferring to be pregnant. I hope the cruise gives you a break for some other activities and rest from the whole ivf journey - even if its only for a short time .you will come back hopefully rested and healthy and having had lovely experiences

Afm: apologies for being a little quieter the last few days. Work is an issue (well one of the placesni work,him self employed and work different days for different people). My colleague on the group work im doing has resignednduentonwhat he sees as the ceo's constant harassment of him. She will know tomorrow. It leaves theprogram with no coordinator and I really dont have time to do it and im concerned that I may be expected to. Im working every night this week til 9pm and im currently marking essays for students over the weekend. My nex weekends will be taken up with developing a presentation for a workshop for where I work on a mon and tue and then I have to write a two day workshop for two training days I've been asked to deliver and run on march 9 and 10 in england. So it feels like I have no time at all. And the prospect of finding even an extra hour for the group work let alone the 10 or so it would need is overwhelming me slightly.

Sorry for the rant!!

Leora- congrats on the new job! I think new jobs are awesome. You can make a decision from the beginning how you are going to be and what you want to get out of the job and also what kind of contribution you want to be. I also lobed moving to a new place....new starts...always exciting. I just like that I can.create anything that I want to because I sony know anyone a new job. Also, the trip.....I have commented before that I love.cruises....i really love the gambling, but just to be on the water is so peaceful. We are actually.considering a ski trip in march. I don't ski, but I love know and mountains are peaceful to me. Hmmmm, maybe I just love nature. I do understand though how you are feeling and feel like if you arent doing something to move closer to a baby, that you arent moving forward. Nothing anyone can say or do to take that out of your heart. But please enjoy the cruise.
Lyd- omg, I am so flippin excited for you! So I know it doesnt matter to you, but, if you could pick, would you want 1 boy, 1 girl, 2 girls or 2 boys? I always either wanted 1 boy, 1 girl or 2 boys. I cant wait to keep hearing the progress. So, when is the next ultrasound?
Ker- and omg on your beta....fantastic. You have got to be on cloud nine. That is wonderful. Cant wait to hear the next beta....when is it?
We-congrats on hitting the next milestone. I guess it really is one babystep at a time. I keep praying that you will keep celebrating more and more steps.

I am sure I am missing people....I am sorry. As for me, yesterday started out tough, but I forced myself to get out, my mind was really not doing me any favors and.thinking things it shouldnt have. I ended up having a great day with my Mary Kay friends and then ended the day/evening with my best friendz playing pk
