Hi Andrea,
You sound great! I am so glad that you feel better about everything. I know the heavy feeling of wondering if your own eggs can make it. It's terrible. Making that decision lightened you up. Stay positive now. Thanks for updating the list. Marvelous job darling. About the uterus, yeah, tilted means the same as retroverted. Mine must be pretty bad because I have anesthesea (How do you spell that?) for the transfer too. But hearing you say that they tilt the table back makes sense to me now. I come out of there with a sore neck and wonder why. Maybe when I am under, they tilt my body and it puts pressure on my neck. Who knows? I'm afraid to guess what happens in there while they are doing their magic. I'm glad I am not awake for it, with the string and all. Yikes. I was also told it would not cause problems with getting pregnant too, but that was long ago before the IVF stuff. Naturally it may cause no problems, but for doctors to get in there with their tools and stuff is probably another story. (And I was pregnant once from IUI, so I know it's possible) I keep hearing all this talk about placement during transfer is very important. They have to put them back in the right place. I have to put my faith in my doctors.

Catharine, the levels are dropping and that is good. I know how hard it is to wait, I think we all do. Thinking of you. There is something to be said about letting your body do what it wants to do. Trust it. Keep up the PMA girl. You are strong! Thanks for your well wishes.

DJB, thinking of you. Sorry to hear about your mom. Wishing you the very best for BFP on Tuesday. You are almost there. The last few days are a killer.

JB, miss hearing from you but know that you are having fun.

Hi LuAnne, how are you feeling? Thinking about you and your growing tummy.

Gracie, how are you hanging in there? Thinking of you. Wednesday is almost here. Think BFP.

Hi Sonia, what's new?

How are you Amy? Tammy? Who did I miss?

Yamina, thanks for info! It did wonders for my PMA. Interested in Yoga link that you sent to Amy. How is Eloise? Feeling better?

I've been officially on 2ww since Friday. I am already climbing the walls. I did take it easy Fri. and Sat. I won't do too much today, but my doctors say to resume normal activity after 2nd day. I read somewhere that it's good to keep the blood moving. Since I am prone to clotting it's probably best for me to move around within reason. They put 5 back in, girls. Yup. But we know that's not so crazy for someone who is almost 41. I started to get hung up on the embryo rating. The woman next to me had three perfect 8 cell embies and my numbers did not look as good as hers. But my DH tells me not to focus on that. Babies are born form embryos like mine. We just need one. This is so tough. How do we keep coming back for more? It's a wonder. It does work so I won't give up. Ok, enough of all that. Have a great day. Look forward to reading all your posts tomorrow. Best wishes.-chriss

Hello Ladies:

I just updated Andrew's 9 month numbers. We took the little guy to see Santa today. He did well...............no crying until Santa took back his bells (Santa had let Andrew hold the bells he was ringing.) If you look closely at Andrew's right hand, you can see the bells.

Good luck to Chriss, DJB and Gracielope2!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sonia: I hope your scan turns out well.

Hello to Yasmina, Bev, Anna, LuAnne, Socal, Andrea, Amy, Kat, Jen, Catharine, and anyone else that I have missed.

I can't wait to hear more BFP's soon!!!!!!!!!

Regards,
Tammy

Bollocks #**###@!!!! - Just as I'm getting my spirits up in time for Christmas, the clinic called today to say that our donor had pulled out. (Changed her mind - which in all fairness, they're perfectly entitled to do...) So no FET with DE for January now. (Sorry, Chriss - my PMA didn't last for long...!)

It was a long shot anyway, as egg share in this clinic is extremely rare but I was really pinning my hopes on this one.

Now - I have to change clinics and start afresh which means more tests, more scans, and more waiting. Have booked appt for this Wed already, but sad to leave this doc as he's been amazing. (We've been through alot together!)

Feel like crap now after all that - and thinking maybe I should hv given my own eggs one last try this month first before making the move...?? God I'm pathetic!

Andrea
DOWN BUT NOT OUT...

4 rollercoaster yrs of IVF using own eggs, then -

1st IVF (DE fresh) Jan 2008 - BFN
2nd IVF (DE frosties) May 2008 - cancelled

Andrea,
Sorry to hear your crap news. I feel for you. The next donor is going to be even better. This one was not meant for you. We have to put our faith in the idea that the right thing will happen. I still believe in you. It's not over. I am sorry that you have to go through this. It's tough enough with our problem to begin with and then the added garbage does not help. Some day we will look back on all of this. It's a time in our lives, it's not forever. Keep moving forward. Get the PMA back. Thinking of you and here to listen. -chriss

It's a marvelous Monday morning :D
Hope Everyone had a wonderful weekend :)

How are our ladies in waiting, Chriss, DJB, and Gracie? Thinking lovely baby thoughts for ye.

Tammy- thank you for sharing the precious snap of your wee one Andrew with St. Nick. Truely a wonderful magical moment. Andrew looks like he enjoys the Jolly fella.

Andrea-your fabulous, thank you for updating the list. I'm so sorry about the DE. I believe Chriss has it correct; this one was not meant for you. Keep the faith yours will come soon. I know it's hard, we all do. Take some time for yourself, enjoy the winter holidays. Try not to dwell on the could of's, would of's, or should of's. Those are the past; you have a bright future ahead of you. You know we're all here for you: if you need some support, maybe a cheerleader, even a sympathiser, there's always someone here to lean on. Big hugs {{{{{Andrea}}}}}

So, I have a case of the beware of what you wish for. AF arrived :) but I have mixed emotions on this :? Only because I'm feeling aweful; I have a terrible headache [which is unusual], and general weakness, lack of energy. I'll call the RE today as they wanted to begin tests once I got to this point to check the endometrial linning and tubes to make sure everything is in proper condition before they determine which protocol to follow. Keeping the PMA and the feelings to rush into tmt at bay. Will inquire into tmt for late Janruary or Feb.

Hello to Yasmina, Bev, Anna, LuAnne, Socal, Amy, Jen and anyone I may have missed.

Have a great week.

Catherine: I know you feel awful, but that's really good news. Does this mean you can start once they check your endometrial lining? I get headaches and very irritable before I get my period.

Tammy: Andrew looks adorable! God Bless Him.

Andrea: So very sorry! :( You will have another chance and the next one will be even better! When we are patient we always get the best. It's a long exhausting road - but the prize and the end is truly worth it! We all will forgett he heartache once we hold our bundle of joy!

Chriss: How you holding up? I was thinking about what you had to go through for the ET and thinking you are very brave. I hope and pray you will have good news!

ME: I lost it over the weekend! I told you girls that I'm the worst when it comes to the 2WW - before that I'm great. PMA all the way. Saturday, I couldn't take the anxiousness - so I went out and bought a pregnancy test. First Response - it came back BFN. I cried my eyes out - Saturday Called my Best Friend, Hysterical. Sunday, I was thinking it can't be! It can't be that I'm not pregnant. Not that I have any symptoms or anything, but transferring 6 embroys, that were good quality! RE even gave me a hard time - my mind was spinning.

This morning, I went out and purchased another HPT this time, ANSWER. The first minute only one line came up I was upset, but then I look down and see a faint pink line right next to the dark one. This was around 9:00AM, I'm thinking, this has "never" happen to me. I've read that it could one of those disappearing lines, so I looked at it again at 9:48AM and it still shows one faint pink line.

What do you ladies think? I don't want to get all excited. DH is really upset that I took the HPT in the first place. He wouldn't talk to me all day Saturday. He says I put stress on myself. I know, that I need to relax, I repeat it over and over again but its so hard.

Gracielope2: It sounds good to me!!!!!!!!! I had to take two HPT's in a row before I could believe my BFP. Congrats!!!

Andrea: Chriss, Catharine and Gracielope2 are right. There will be a donor that is meant for you. I felt like we should have gotten pregnant with my last IVF. We transferred 5 embies, but no luck. However, if I would gotten pregnant during that IVF, I would not have my precious little Andrew. I think he was meant for us. Don't give up.

Catharine & Gracielope2: Thanks for the kind words about my little guy. He really is a joy. There will be more of us with babies next Christmas :D

Tammy

Gracie, that sounds like good news. I understand being cautious and wanting more proof. Try to Relax if you can. Two more days and you will know for sure. I can't say I blame you for POAS. It's so hard to wait. I am only on day 6 since ER and have soooooo much longer to go. I can't say I feel much at all.

Tammy, Andrew is adorable. Soak up every bit of fun this Christmas! You must be over the moon!

Catharine, feel better! You are getting closer! Yeah!

Gracie - you told me to wait!!!! LOL! That is wonderful news...I sure hope your's comes out as a definite BFP!!! I'm nervously excited for you and can't wait to hear the good news.

My update is - No need to test...I started my period this morning. So I'll see what happens next time. I know my RE wanted me to jump straight to IVF but I think I will wait until January. I only want to have to meet my deductible once. It seems for women over age 40 IVF is the way to go. I know I'm ovulating just not sure of the quality of the eggs so I think waiting for more IUI's might make the situation worse later down the line.

To all of the other's wishing you luck!!!!

DJB:  Look at me - giving you advise and then I cave in. I kept repeating to myself - Be anxious for nothing but with prayer and thanksgiving: I did a lot of praying when I get the BFN on Saturday. I'm so sorry to hear that your AF arrived. We rushed straight into IVF, looking back when we did it the first time, I wish that we would have waited. I didn't do any research, I was blind going in. Has your RE checked your FSH - I think they also check your ovarian reserve, I'm not sure if that's the same as FSH.

CHRISS: How are you holding up? Thanks for your advice about trying to relax. Even though I got a positive on the HPT, I'm still being very cautious. Tomorrow is our big day, I kind of can't wait to get it over with.

My Best Friend has children but she conceived naturally. She said she used to get really nervous each month with the not knowing if you're pregnant. I tried to explain that IVF is different because when they put the embies back, we know that they are fertilized, we know that the sperm met the egg. So, the expectation is higher - at least I believe so.

I'm a little disappointment in myself, I say to have faith - but then I go and get all crazy, if I truly believe then I shouldn't worry - because I "should" know that it's in God's hands and thank him before hand.

Yasmina: How is Eloise doing?

Everyone else hello - hope all is well! :P

gracie, i am very happy for you and i am sure by tomorrow afternoon, your beta number will confirm the good news. cautiously congrats to you and your dh.

chriss, hang in there and soon will be your turn to cerebrate!

DJB, i don't quite recall what kind of tmt you had recently. sounded like you were well prepared for your news. the next turn should not be long and wish you luck.

tammy, thanks for the update. andrew is getting so tall now! eloise is also 20lbs at her 9 month check-up (she was 9m1w, in fact), but she is 2 inches shorter - asian genes from me, my dh said.

thanks for the ones who asked about eloise, she is doing fine and she finally drink about 13 oz milk/8 hours at daycare now. huge relieve for me! will need to recheck for the ear infection early next week, will update then.

I had a hectic start for this week and it won't get any easier since the work pressure gets higher at the end the year. pardon me for being short and brief.

best luck to everyone else!

DJB, sorry about your news. We did IUI's for a while and I did get pregnant on my 4th one. That ended with a miscarriage at about 7 and 1/2 weeks. Then we had to wait three months to even start trying again. We did 2 IUI's then moved on to IVF. I am now on my third IVF. Personally, I wish I would have jumped to IVF right after the miscarriage. I feel my age is a big factor. Whatever decision you make will be the right one for you. I don't remember if this was your first IUI? Wishing the best for you. Whatever you choose to do, keep moving forward.

Hi Yasmina, glad that thinga are going well with Eloise. What a great name.

Gracie, thinking of you today! Good luck and let us know asap.

Hi everyone, I'm just sitting here doing my 2ww. I've been drinking lots of water and eating pineapple! I have another week to go. When people ask me how I feel, I say "I don't know." I really don't. It changes physically and emotionally all the time. Hormones! Enjoy the day. -chriss

Hi,

I been trying to post since Monday but my computer has just been refusing to submit my posts.

So here’s my next try to wish you 2wwers…

Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

DJB – so sorry it didn’t work for you this time. We tried 3 IUIs before starting with IVF but I was under 40 then. It sounds right for you to move on now. Good luck with your next steps. xxx

Gracielope – it’s looking good for you!!! – Thinking of you and so hoping it’s your time.

Chriss – What are you doing to distract yourself? Have everything crossed that good news is waiting for you. xxx

Andrea – so sorry you didn’t get that egg share opportunity. Sounds like your doc has been very supportive – do you already have a clinic for DE or will he be able to give you a recommendation? You’re still moving forward so try not to let it get you down and stay strong. Hugs xxx You’ve done a great job updating this list.

Catharine – hope you are feeling better. Have you got dates for tests sorted out? Fingers crossed for you that you’ll soon be back on track.

Tammy – enjoyed seeing and reading about little Andrew. Thanks for sharing the pic!

Thanks for your well wishes everyone. My lining was 6,8mm on Monday which I think is OK for cycle day 9. Next appointment is tomorrow. Sounds like I’ll have to increase the meds earlier this time. Good to know that my clinic is giving some thought on what to do different this time round.

Hello to everyone else – hope you’re having a good week!
