Maria, it wouldn't surprise me if you see more at your RE's office tomorrow. That picture you posted looks a bit grainy. I think the REs have higher quality ultrasound machines. I've never had an u/s quite that early so I'm not sure what's expected.

It's right around 5-6 weeks that the pole and yoke sac become visible; they will probably appear in the next couple of days.

WE - congrats!!!! So excited for you.

Amy - I never found anything that worked great to get the residue off. The alcohol pads seem to help a little bit and a lot of scraping at it while in the shower.

Amy- the only thing that gets that yuck off of me is my mary kay eyemakeup remover. it is gentle and gets it off without scrubbing. I have to admit I didnt try anything else other than soap and water, but I sell Mary Kay, so I know this stuff takes off way more than makeup.

Kerripuppies- My DH said to try nail polish remover, but he said WD40 works the best Hope that helps!

blueeyeddreamer- Good luck with the workout program. I would love to do it but I always put it on the back burner because IVF has been our life for 2yrs now. I have put on 15 pounds since we started this journey ugh

Nide- You're doing a workout program too? I think I read you lost half a pound that is great every half a pound will equal a pound

Anton- I watch the movie "Contagion" & it will def make you look at touching things differently. It was so scary on how close to the truth that movie could become. I am already crazy about washing my hands bc of working at the hospital. It amazes me when you are in public restroom & see women leave without washing their hands..EWWW!! I am doing natural cycles until April too.

Christy- Did you get the Hershey job? I may have missed the update.

Leora- I am so glad you like your new job. Switching jobs is always scary. I hope you can relax on your cruise and enjoy yourself. Hopefully it will make the time pass by quickly for you & you can jump back on the IVF train when you get back.

Gina- I am glad your DH is recovery.

AFM: I am sorry for anyone I missed. I started my meds last week was told to start having sex last Friday thru today, so I our sexathon begun last Friday. Today I went in for my us and blood work and I told my nurse she about killed us with the having sex everyday for 7 days especially on the nights we work 12 hrs. She was like oh no I meant for ya'll to have sex every other day..LMAO I was like oh well atleast we made sure we gave it our best shot. Well she called this evening said every thing looks great on paper and I am ovulating surging now so since we had sex last night we could have a night off but needed to have it again Friday. Damn I feel like we are rabbits at this point..LOL After Friday we are in for another 2 ww (sigh) Oh last week when I told DH we had to have sex every day starting last Friday he was like you mean I have to have sex with you on the weekend? My response was I am so sorry you have to have sex with your wife on the weekend. I am not expecting candles and roses just a deposit..lol we were laughing bc we knew after working 12 hrs at the hospital it wasn't going to be the greatest. On another note I had to do a pelvis x-ray on a girl who is 22 and 20 wks pregnant. I was not happy about doing it. In order to an x-ray directly to the abdomen or pelvis on a pregnant woman we have to get her to sign a consent. On the consent it states the risk of radiation to the baby, so I give the girl the paper tell her she needs to read it over before I can do the x-ray & sign it. What really pissed me off was that she didn't even read it!! She acted like she read it you can tell when someone actually reads something and she didn't. I ask her if she understood it & she was like yeah. Then she signed it. I was so disgusted! This is her 3 rd baby. Her 1st child has special needs and she called the child retarded her own child!! Her 2nd child has braces on his legs from some kind of disorder and now this baby she doesn't even consider the risk of an x-ray. Really??? She was in the E.R bc her husband beat her up which I hate for her. Okay I done venting sorry girls for the rambling.

Ninde- He has like 6 80's and some others so a lot of them lol. My son and I play also but I stopped a while back since moving to Germany and the time difference. A German server would do no good either. DS has a couple of 80's and like 30 others on all different servers. We mainly play on Doomhammer. DS now plays the New Star Wars republic or something like that, it just came out right around Christmas. Before that we played Everquest. Now I just do FB games for now until the Panda's come out haha.

Good to hear from you girl! Do tell us more about your protocal... I know you wrote about feeling like a couple of jack rabbits out there, but I must of missed how come they are monitoring this cycle?

Yes balancing everything can be a little tricky. But omg, yesterday dh thought he was opening junk mail b/c it was a lettter from a previous employer. Come to find out he had some stock purchased way back in 1993...when we got married we thought we had cashed it out but he left a little in the account over the years so since the purchase price of this company went up to 60.00 a share he was holeymoley I don't believe I almost threw this away! Today he cashed it out and it's enough to cover both of our credit card bills and pay off his student loan. This is a blessing in the sky, especially since we are getting ready to pursue a HUGE loan for IVF. It's not enough to cover the IVF loan but at least it will help pay off some previous debt.

I know TV can be corrupt, and some of these shows they feature makes my blood pressure fluctuate. I get so mad at the TV sometimes and then end up debating politics with dh. sigh I'm currently hearing this legislative talk about requiring ultrasounds before abortions are even considered. "Then there are some saying well it's my body I should be able to do whatever I want", but they don't know what they are obviously doing in the first place! I shouldn't be getting into that, I know it does no good.

AFM: Today my boss and I had a nice chat about moving me up into full-time Assistant Manager. I would give me benefits yes and if we ever chose adoption the company reimburses up to 17,000 back.
Dh told me I would be in the same boat as my last job with getting the time off I needed for the upcoming appointments. My boss said I probably wouldn't even want to work once I had a baby, but I told her no I would want to be here at least part-time. It's a toss up I know, but I have to stay focussed on my personal goal and it's not going to happen if I put all of my time into a career. Why does this have to be so hard, I sometimes feel like I'm begging for more hours there. I really enjoy what I do, and know if I work harder there being on commission part-time, I could bring in what I would be making full-time. I just want to find a happy balance with everything and not worry about finances anymore. Hersheys would be traveling down another road, but not holding my breath since they probably want someone who would have better flexibility then me.

Dh and I went to my RE today for our official u/s. We got to see the fetal pole, yolk sack, and the heart beat on both little ones. Crown to Rump length they are both measuring at 6 weeks. Next u/s in two weeks. On my way to work. Will post more later. Sending you all many xoxo.

Ninde, I am originally from Taiwan. I came to Belgium for my study and met my DH here. My DH is a Belgian. And according my RE (when we talked about egg donor, the RE try to find a donor database match my ethnic background), I am not 100% Asian What can I say; some of my ancestors are from the other parts of the world, which I don't know anything about. Very scary!

Anton, I think that you are one of the people who has talent in language. I have been learning English since my high school and using it daily for 15 years. Still, I cannot say I am a perfect English speaker. I am applying for a project management job. The company sent me a message today that I still have to wait until the end of February. ..

Leoriral, I see your difficulty to get away. Who knows, changing environment may help your chance;-) I got pregnant without fertility assistance after a ski trip! You see, how wonderful things a break can bring!

What a great achievement you have in Hebrew! Flemish, French and German are official languages in Belgium. I have been in Belgium for 15 years and spent most of my years studying in English. After my Flemish was good enough for working, I found a job in a French speaking company while I have no knowledge in French. It was just my luck! So, I continued using English for my work and neglected my Flemish. I did pick up French left and right but is still not good enough in a working condition. Your story is very inspiring. I am going to take you as an example for my language learning, if you don’t mind

AFM, I am still busy on job applications. So far, I have sent 100 unsolicited letters and have got 2 interviews. I will attend the interviews next week and I am very nervous now.

For the new IVF, I had a consultation with the RE this Tuesday and got unpleasant news: he suggested me go for donor eggs. I actually had preparation for this suggestion but I still got upset when actually heard it. DH took it less hard and he even proposed my sister who is 33 year old now to be the donor. An extra stroke on me: how I can ask my sister for such a favour? She doesn’t even have a bf! Even if we get pregnant and conceive to a baby, I think it will be weird to be between my sister, my DH and the baby. Nevertheless, the next cycle will be our last subsidized one. Afterwards, the insurance company won’t cover the IVF cost anymore. Can someone who was in similar situations before share her story to help me make decisions: to go ahead with my own eggs or go for donor eggs and even my sister’s eggs? Very confused!
