He is getting better. I thought that I got him talked out of smoking in the car the other night, but he just could not control himself. I had to ride down the road with the window and cold coming in while he did it. Very irritating.

 Hi girls

Loved the map----i live in Dundee, which right up in Scotland if you want to check it out on the map.

Pequele - Wow i'm jealous of where you live, it looks fab------and isnt that beside where all the rich people live---come on spill the beans :?:

Chriss - Hope yoru baby making process is going ok, cant wait to hear.

Mia - thinking of you, hope your ok?

Su - I'm saying nothing about Essex----dont want to give the American girls a bad impression of you lol---you got white stilettos----ok------only joking

Becky - All i will say is dh is not impressed

Hi to everyone else.

I'm feeling fine--- actually very calm, its scares me
Whenever i think i feel something i try to wipe it out of my head so i dont get distracted with thoughts about what if it works, what if it doesnt--again.

Its always the second week i find scary but cant tell you how much better it is now i take the pessaries right through to test date as this stops the bleeding and takes away the panic of toilet visits, in the past it was horrendous-----so will just plod on until the 11th trying to be calm :P

Been cooking lasagne (healthy one) and salad for tea and now away to chill and do my nails.

Back at work tomorrow and not looking forward to it as the kids are being brats apparently and i've got into the habit of being at home-------hey ho, got to earn the pennies

Hi girls,

Jen, fabulous attitude. Yea, the 2nd week is the killer. Hang tough, you're almost there. I'm hoping and praying for you.

Steph, love the map. I've been to New Hampshire before! Spent lots of time skiing in Vermont. Haven't done that in a while with all this fertility stuff. I'm looking forward to the commercials as well and Tom Petty. How bout you? I'm guessing you're a patriots fan? I'm a Giants fan by association. My DH is all over that. He thinks that he helps them play better when he watches the game. Loyal fan, huh?

Jackie, enjoy the game.

Stephjim, so sorry about DH, it is an addiciton. I have some friend who have been successful quitting smoking using a drug called Welbutrin. Ever heard of it? If not, I bet Steph has some insight.

I'm back from IUI. DH had the LOWEST sperm count yet. Very depressing. We go back tomorrow For #2. They have us do 2 because of low sperm count and morphology, etc. We know it's low, that's why we are usually doing IVF with ICSI. Re said they have seen pregnancies from IUI with low counts like this, so it is possible. Hard to keep up the PMA, but I will. This is the longest, toughest trying time in my life. I know you can relate. We have consult appointment made for next cycle. Want to be ready for IVF if the miracle doesn't happen this month.

Here's a map of US. I live on east coast like steph, but I am lower down. I live on the east coast of Long Island, which is not even on the map. It's near CT (connecticut)

Long Island is famous for this specail drink...
Drink a few of these and you forget all your troubles.

hi girls,

Well done on the rugby yesterday Becky - I'm not bitter!! DH was jumping around the lounge last night like some mad man, I was just glad to be going out and leaving him to it!

Jen - hey, one week down and one week to go - hang in there! I take it you haven't been on pressies before? I'm sure they take away some of the stress as you said - no constant knicker checking!

Chriss / Mia - sorry girls I missed your big day - good luck and thinking of you both.

Chriss - wow I want to live with you - those beaches are to die for - how fab to have those on your doorstep.

its so great to visualise where every one really lives - have to admit my geography on the US is really bad - I've only been to NY and Miami - although hoping to do a visit to Boston on the end of my Miami trip at Easter (where ever that is on your map!!)

I'm just below the london tower picture on becky's map (not actually in London but outside ) but the town I was born in is mentioned 'folkestone' yeah!!

Steph - yeah I know its old news, but congratulations on your job - who wouldn't want you eh!! But do they really know what they are letting themselves in for

Su - bump buddy - are you showing yet? Suffered alot last week with all sorts of twinges, cramps etc - think little jelly bean was having a growing spurt but still no sign from the outside! Decided to tell the bosses at work too, so I can start reducing the pace I'm working at, constantly on my feet running around which is not good.

Hi everyone else - sorry I'm so far behind in posts I've really lost the plot - can't keep up anymore :?

Off for a quick nap - don't know about the getting renewed energy with the 2nd tri

Hey Chriss

You live in the rich bit to---come on tell your mates?? Didnt Jackie O have a holiday home there---i think she did. The beach looks fab---I WANT THE SUN
Glad your ok and good luck for tomorrow. Will be at work but catch up on Tue evening, will be thinking of you.

Mia - Hope your ok babe?

Nimble - Yep, have been on pessaries every time but on my first 3 cycles with another clinic in Scotland then stopped you taking them 4-5 days before the test date and if you werent pregnant then af would arrive---thats why i was always scared to go to the loo.
Clinic in Spain work diferently, they make you take them right through and if---sorry WHEN  i get my bfp i still have to take them for a few months. This is to try and hold on to the baby and stop me from losing it---seems much better.

Had a few tears this afternoon, just wwant this to work for dh, i feel so sorry and guilty for him even though he assures me he just wants me and a baby would be a bonus---god this sucks

Sorry to disappoint but no white stilettos. Lets just say if I was a sterotypical Essex girl I would never have met you girls 'cos I'd have had a string of kids long before now (all by different fathers, of course)

Chris - Wow, those beaches, amazing! I'm near the coast too but in Essex we have more mud and concrete than sand, and you wouldn't to swim in the water, yuk!

Yeh, tell be about it! When are we supposed to get the burst of energy I've heard about. I thought it was due by now but I'm more tire than the first trimester.
Today I seem to be showing a bit more, but I think it depends on what I wear and how much I've eaten  Most mat clothes are still too big but my own are getting quite tight.
You did well to keep quiet at work so long, I don't think I could have. You need to let them take the pressure off tho' so you can slow down a bit

Ok, I'm off to bed now. Can't believe the weekend's over already.

Thats how my clinic works - in fact still on the pressies although I went down from 2 a day to 1 a day and now I'm on every other day so slowly whining my body of them so not such a great shock - just in case! thats what my consultant advised - just so you know, when you are with a BFP!!!!

This whole thing is such an emotional rollercoaster and it is so difficult to control sometimes especially when the outcome is totally in the hands of nature however you sound like you have a fab DH who loves you no matter what, come rain or shine and is your rock. BUT......this time round it will work and you will give him that great big bonus of a BFP!

Su - god yes, know what you mean about eating - I can't eat as much as I used (prob a good thing) but if I pig out, man my tummy comes out - oh I can't wait to big and round :D

Sucks that its monday already..........where's my weekend gone :(

off to scoft more...but chocolate this time

Hi Jen,
Good to hear from you. Sounds like you are taking the progesterone suppositories, my RE has us doing the progesterone shots. The theory is the same as what you are doing now, we take them right through pregnancy test and when pregnant, continue taking them till first trimester is over. This is with IVF, not IUI.

Sorry that you had a few tears today, I think it just comes with the territory. I was teary as well. Today my DH told me that I was bi-polar!!! What a dummy. I said... "That's why they call this the rollercoaster" ride. Wonder how well he'd do taking all these drugs and being poked and prodded. I got a little mad at him. Then I was pissed about the low sperm count. Then I felt bad. He wants this too and I know I am a crazy lady to live with. One minute I'm like "This is going to work!" then I'm all "This sucks, we should've just done the IVF!" We can't win.

I know that we are supposed to be kicking butt. It's so hard. Hey, the time when I was pregnant, I had a very emotional day, crying, etc. a few days before I got the BFP. Maybe you are crying because you are PREGNANT!!! Wow, It could be!!!!!
Image

yes, I live in a town called Southampton and it's on the beach. It is very nice. There are everyday people who live here year round (Me and my DH and our families) and then there are a slew of "Summer" people, those are the ones with tons of money and 2nd homes on the beach. So I guess it's kinda like a resort town, but we are the regulars. Make sense??? So I get to reap the benefits of living in such a nice place without having tons of money. The beauty of it all is that I am a teacher, and there is NO SCHOOL IN THE SUMMER! so in the summer my teacher friends and I go to the beach basically every day! It's heaven. I look forward to it all year. We stay the entire day, pack food, etc. and just park our asses in the sand and swim and sun all day long. This is one of the things I feel very lucky to have. I dream of the day that I can take my baby to the beach with me!!! My DH works all summer and he is very jealous when summer comes.

Ok, enough of that. I gues I am just trying to be grateful for the good things in my life. But I want more... I want a baby! Don't we all????

Nimble, thanks for your post. How does it feel??? Are you gushing with happiness? I am so happy that you got your wish and you are pregnant!!! Yeah for you. Boston is a very cool city, you definately should go when you are visiting. Miami is fun too. Hope your nap is relaxing.

Ok, Mia, HOW ARE YOU????

Catch ya later girlz-chriss

stephjim wrote:Hey Steph

How are you? I am off today!! Still crampy in my back, but trying to keep PMA. You?
Sorry Steph...it was just a quick check in before hell...but I'm home now and gonna watch the Superbowl...and commercials of course. But since I have laptop I will be around :)

It is ok to be crampy...it could be either or! I mean the IUI for me that worked...I SWEAR I was getting AF a week early!!! I was freaked cuz #1 I was in CA and had to fly home and didn't have any girlie gear with me and #2 it was my 1st cycle with clomid to help me extend my luteal phase (after ovulation and before AF) and I was feeling the cramps about the time my AF would normally start so I figured the clomid didn't do its job! So keep up that PMA!!! Test day is soon!!! Do you POAS or do you go straight to blood work?

Hi Ladies, sorry i havn't had time to catch up on all the pages, so apologies if i miss anything.

Mia, hope all went to plan today, can't wait to hear the news, good luck.

Jen1d, only one more week to go, i know its the hardest but try to keep the PMA going, your doing well so far. Don't work too hard and try to keep the stress levels down.

Chris, sorry you got switched to IUI but if it worked once no reason for it not to work this time, good lick to you. Ooh i'm jealous of where you live, i love long island, had the pleasure of working there in 2000 we were based in Old Westbury and used to go to jones beach frequently. I am from a seaside resort and love the off season when we get the place back.

Nimble/Su, hope your both doing ok, sorry to upset you both but at 16 weeks i still don't look totally pregnant just fatter, and maternity clothes are still on the large side. Glad your both doing ok.

Hi to all you ladies i've missed and many apologies, just about to hit the sack, my thoughts are with you all.

Love the map, for all you ladies if you find York and go across to the East coast there is a little bump sticking out, that is where i live (Scarborough) the oldest seaside resort in england, 2 beaches with a ruined castle on the headland splitting them up, nice place but always windy. catch you all later.
