Good Monday Morning :D

JenB glad to hear from you, thinking of you. Miss your positive inputs. I tried to resurrect your 'Updates' list.

Chriss-how are you doing? wow never heard of veins being to hard, sounds painful. Take care of yourself. Thinking of you :)

Joanna-thinking of you.

Amy-how you holding up?

As for me, I've actually now have had 2 scans, yesterday and today and will go in tomorrow and most likely everyday this week [they warned]. The follies are growing :D at 13.5 will start ganirelax tonight. Had a we bit of a scar. FedEx lost my meds last friday  fortunately they were found today :D this is good because I ran out of the meds after my morning doseage and will need the new supply tonight. As if I really needed that stress. All is well again in stimm land and calm is setting in. I will try to go for acu either tuesday or thursday this week just to really kick that stress monster to the curb

Wishing everyone all the best. PMA

hey girls -
so nice to hear from you JenB! you must have felt the vibes Catharine sent out by finding our long lost sparkly list! You've been missed - but glad you and DH are taking the time you need to sort out your feelings about all that has been going on and where to go from here -- good that you are having everything checked out...it's a pain in the neck to have to wait and wait, but I hope you'll get the answers and feedback you need in due time to decide what your next step is going to be. thinking of you and hoping all your dreams come true for you this year.

Andrea -- any news? I only hope "no news, is good news" and that all is well with you!

chriss -- just a week to go for you. can only imagine what a difficult time it is right now for you and DH. made me so sad to read your story. - but you were right when you said that you need to take the time to grieve. it is so important to let it all out - all your disappointment and sadness - then give yourself time to heal so you can find all the positive again and feel renewed and ready to resume your journey to parenthood. your time will come, I am sure of it! you have so much PMA for us, make sure you save a bit for yourself!
glad you are finding the book worth reading. I keep it nearby and just keep rereading parts. I've really found the relaxation exercises to be helpful - especially when my mind is racing with all things possible....helps me to tune out the negative stuff and drift off to a much more positive place...I've done my best to keep to the nutrition recommendations, which keeps me occupied, too...

catharine -- when I next talk to my RE I'll ask him why I'm to stop DHEA when I start stimms and not at retrieval...your follies sound like they are growing nicely! great news! What a scare with you meds! glad everything worked out in the end -- but you're right -- who needs that kind of added stress right now....what does the rest of your schedule look like for ER and ET?
About the exercise - my RE has me cutting out all aerobic type exercise when stimms start, and I pretty much only do walking & yoga...but I think everything depends on your response to the meds and your general fitness level -- some can probably tolerate more than others --

Joanna - thanks for checking in and keeping us updated. Happy to know you've made a decision as to what your next step will be. Wishing you all the best!!!

Pricecake - how are things going with you?

I went in today for my last baseline scan...an impressive (for me) 14 follies...my ob/gyn who does all my tests, said -- don't see why this won't work for you this time!...I hope she is right...just waiting for my bloodwork to come back to see where I stand...AF never showed up -- and don't know if in the end that will just stop me this time or not...haven't had a response (after repeatedly asking) from my RE about that....anyone know the answer to this?
My thyroid is back to being completely normal and seems my fainting was the result of my currently very low blood pressure and getting up too quickly from the couch...Despite my "symptoms", my ob/gyn doesn't think I'm preggers because of how things looked on my scan today...and didn't think it made sense to test me. I already did 2 HPTs last week, which were both (not surprisingly) negative. But still, put the question to my RE...so, just back to patiently waiting...
I'll get all my answers on Wednesday...stay tuned.... :D

big hello to sonia-in-waiting, LuAnne - thinking of you!, Tammy & Yasmina. Take care and have a great week!
xx Amy

AMy, outstanding follie report! 14 WOW, that's good girl!Image
Yes, I'm trying to stick with the nutritional tips as well. I'm especially enjoying the lemon water and as an added bonus I think it has helped with my "luteal phase constipation." Crazy I know that, huh? well, doing the iVF thing makes us all textbook "doctors" in our own way. Sorry about TMI re: constipation, but for me, it's a fact of life and I am happy for a simple solution. I've tried all other kinds of things, believe me. This was an unexpected surprise. I am eating more whole grains and discovered a tasty grain blend of...Israeli Style Couscous, Orzo, Baby Garbanzo beans, & red quinoa. Never would have made that before. Also trying to cut back on meat protein. Glad thyroid is behaving... maybe the great nutrition? Glad fainting was no big deal. Look forward to your news on Wednesday. I'm with ya babe. Feel the support???

Andrea, how are you???? Hoping & waiting for good news!

Thanks ladies for all your support - well unfortunately it's another BFN for me.

I was naively thinking that maybe it would work the first time with DE but I guess the risks and odds of everything coming together and being 'just right' are the same as a regular ivf.

I was too gutted yesterday to log on and just kept myself busy over the weekend so as not to think about it. I didn't even POAS stick cos I just knew I would get depressed as I kind of already knew the outcome deep down underneath... Still when you get the result you were expecting, it still feels like you've been kicked in the teeth!

I have an appt with my clinic tomorrow to talk about this cycle so until then I'll allow myself just the one more day to 'mope' and get it all out of my system...

Thanks again you guys for enduring all this with me. It really means alot.
I'll be back soon with my smile on...I promise!

Andrea

Andrea, I've been thinking of you. I'm sorry that this cycle was not the one for you. Yes, I understand your thinking that this would work first time, it reminds me of how I felt after moving on to ivf after iui. I thought for sure IVF would work. I think the important thing is to be persistent until the voice inside you tells you to stop. Not easy to always figure out, especially if money is a concern. Let's face it, it's a concern for most of us to some degree. I hope that a little time to grieve helps you and then you can come back refreshed and ready to think about next step. IVF takes time, we are learning this. The same is true for DE. I really want this to work out for you. I know how much you've put into it. Stay strong and remember that we are here for you. I wish I could take away the pain. As you know, time will help. Thinking of you and looking forward to your smile when you return.

Amy have not been taking any magnesium other than what is in prenatal. Are there recommendations in Zita's book? I haven't gotten that far. How much is advisable?

chriss - my RE has me taking magnesium (300 mg), zinc + selenium, vitamin E (400 mg), folic acid -- my other vitamin seems to be a mix of B vitamins + DHA and then DHEA...
but, I seem to remember reading that you said your RE doesn't recommend lots of extra supplements -- I guess they are all different and have their own beliefs...
I do know that you have to be careful with the magnesium, because too much will give you diarrhea -- that is your body telling you that you don't need so much...or so that is how my RE explained it to me...

JenB - thanks for the positive thoughts -- I assume my RE has some kind of plan or plan B regarding the missing AF...at least I hope so! -- got to trust him...or at least keep asking lots of questions...

:D take care everyone! have a great day! xx Amy

Jenbabes,
I really missed your posts when you were gone. It's great to have you back. Thanks for understanding about not wanting a test thread. :D
I will POAS on Monday if AF does not visit sooner. I hope she stays far away. How much folic acid do you take? Enjoy your Valentine's Day with DH! Surprises are good! Love to ya. -chriss

Hello Everyone!
I am now permitted to sit up for a little bit each day & have been able to catch up w/everyone elses' posts here. I am doing okay, but have developed new problems; one of these being high blood pressure. Fortunately, my urine is free of protein, so I do not have preeclampsia. Also, the amniotic fluid was low last week, but improved this week. My specialist is not certain why, but high blood pressure can be a factor. I'm still hanging in there, taking one day at a time. I didn't realize pregnancy would be such a challenge for me! I know the reward will be worth it all. Pleae keep me in your prayers as you are all in mine. By the way, my babies are one boy & one girl.

Hey Ladies :D

Luanne great to hear from you. Will be praying for your and the wee-ones health during these next few months. Take care.

Just a quick update. ER maybe this weekend. The follies are developing as expected have several ~16mm already. Trying to let the rest catch up. Focusing on the PMA. Lots of deep breaths to keep the stress down. Will do acu today and perhaps on Saturday if ER is Sunday.

Wishing everyone all the best. Enjoy hearing from everyone.
