Girls, the biggest Disater has hit our house!!!

We have a leak, it's coming thro the ceiling and the bathroom is above. However the bathroom, doesn't appear to have leaks, turned off water supply and leak stopped, called plumber, and he bashed in floor boards and ceiling to see pipe work inbetween, and still no sign of a leak,

We were all expecting Jeremy Beadle to pop out from somewhere, I was in tears, as if i am not stressed enough with the forth coming IVF......

So now the plumber has gone, and the ceiling is damp, we have a huge whole in the bathroom that you can view the kitchen from and the insurance company tells me we aren't covered for that!!!!

Arghhh!!!!!

I am so mad, so now we have turned the water back on and there's no leak!!

So just paid a plumber £130 to put a hole in my floor/ceiling, and the insurance wont cover me, and what about the leak where is it now??? no water!!!

SO i have shut the bathroom door an will just have to call some1 else in the morning. Luckily we have another toilet and shower room!!

anyway, enough about that, i feel my stress levels rising again!!!

Karia, sorry i no nothing about OHSS, but i would say the clinic will be monitoring you so dont worry about it, until it happens and heck it may never happen!!

anna, sorry about your op's but at least IVF is still on, thinking of you tues!!

Bridget, Dunking Donuts!! now theres a thought!!! LOL!!!!

Vicky, I knew it!!!! AF would turn up on holiday, typical, you know why!!? dont you??? It's coz u relaxed!!!
But maybe this happened for a reason, Gods way of saying it'll happen in April!!! everything happens for a reason!! x x

Nerms, great you have schedule, makes it so real now doesn't it!!

Love to everyone else, and hope your having a better w/end than me!!!

Nicki - unbelievable, so sorry to hear. Last thing you need at the moment. How come the insurance is not paying up? And did the plumber really have to smash in your floor??? I really hope you find a solution, its bad enough forking out for IVF without having to fork out with this sort of thing too. The water must have come from somewhere to cause the initial damage so I'm surprised insurance not paying up.

vicky so lovely to have you back - was it lovely, going on, make us jealous with all the details. Cant believe the witch showed up on day 1, what a cow!

nerms - sounds like you are also having a diaster too..... nice to see you back though - always worrying when ladies go MIA!! Brillant that your starting on Tuesday...notlong to go now.

Anna - fantastic news that your tmt not being delayed but sad that you have to have an op, but it is for the best and everything will be super for when your little embies coming snuggling back home!

Coco - your post made me laugh re DH - a bet so many of us can relate to it! All they think they have to do is provide a few swimmers and job done eh!! thankfully, my DH is coming round to all the lotions and potions that I get him to drink/eat and take! But he is still resisting on some....

Bridget Jones - dunkin donuts - now if I suggest that I'm sure I will get a blank look !!  Nice to see you back. Devil wears prada - really good film, loved it. also watched Holiday, that also makes you feel warm and fuzzy too. Yr hibernation sounds bliss...what a good idea.

shantala - good luck with yr test on tuesday. Hows hubby btw - is he being a good patient at home??

This is a really busy week for everyone, so much is going on - wishing every one goodluck with their appts, scans and classes. (doing this now, as I know I will lose the plot during the week!!) :?

Nicolamark, I am sorry about the water damamge, that is horrible! I think it it is easier to do injections in the abdomen, because your thigh has muscle right there and, ooh that hurts, but I can barely feel the injection in the fat of my tummy, (lol).

Hi all, just popped on for a quick post and I can see I have a lot of catching up to do!! It seems that we are all on our way doesn't it?? Ohhhh can't wait to see all of our BFPs soon!!!

Well, sorry that I don't have time for personals right now but quick update from my end:

Had my first acu appt on Thursday night and loved it. Was a bit tense but the guy was very professional and spent a good 30 minutes talking to me beforehand to reassure me it would all be fine. He explained in detail everything that was happening and I felt very comfortable. By the end of the session I was relaxed and calm. I can't wait to go again! I think this will be a great thing to look forward to each week.

And more importantly, I had my first injection on Saturday!! I was all shaky and teary eyed but DH was a pro and stuck the needle right in without hesitation. For all of you ladies who have yet to do any injections…don't worry!!! It didn't hurt AT ALL!!! I iced it beforehand and actually didn't even know it had happened. I was still holding my breath waiting and DH said "Ok, you're all done!"

Anyway, we were so excited that it was so easy that Sunday we could hardly wait to give me my next one!! Haha. So funny that I am looking forward to "shooting up" but I love thinking as we are doing it that this is what is going to bring us a baby. Makes it soooo worth it!!

Well, girls (((BIG HUGS))) to all of you and I will check in soon with personals…

Love-
Steph

hey girls

Nicki - hows it going - is today any better - have you managed to sort anything out with your hole !!
I injected into my tummy - never tried the thigh but it really doesn't hurt, you pinch an inch or two and off you go!

Sha - you poor thing - not sure I could cope with having everyone in the house, you're doing well. Just take some time out when you feel that its getting too much for you. I went to see my Brother last weekend to see the new one, as I knew once on meds there would be no stopping the floods.

Good news on the little one - it won't be long before its yr time .

Steph - so glad u in enjoyed the acu - they are great aren't they. It does sound so funny when you say that you enjoy 'shooting up', don't let anyone else hear you otherwise they will get the wrong end of the stick

Yr DH must be a pro at this, yr brave letting him have a go, not sure I would with mine.... you haven't seen his DIY work!!

Jill and Janice - hope the sonograms go well, suspect with the time difference you probably having them right now!

Marcia - how did hubbys SA test go?

not much from me, arranged to pick up the meds on thursday. having the strangest feelings down below, feel like i have already taken my stims - really tender around the ovaries and can feel when I sit down....bloody typical probably having a good ovaluation this month!! DH thinks they are jigging around getting ready for sunday!

Nicki -
Sorry to hear about your house damage. When it rains, it pours. Sounds like something insurance SHOULD cover. Hopefully all will get squared away soon. I found that the shots in the stomach were best and then progesterone in my upper hip or buttox area. It is surprising how easy the first shots are, can barely feel them.

Feel free to add my age 38 and I work part-time in marketing for a financial firm. I planned to be a "stay at home mom" and then realized that I just couldn't do it after Siena was born. I felt too locked in. Everyone is different and may I suggest to not make any drastic lifestyle changes until baby arrives.

Got AF today, but will be starting meds on the next cycle, around March 20.

Take Care.

Hi Girls, Well, I had my sono today and there is bad news, and some good news. The bad news is between my last IVF cycle and now (about 4 months) I have developed 2 VERY LARGE polyps on the inside of my uterine cavity. MY OH MY! One of them is sooooo huge. I could see it on the ultrasound. I also have a fibroid that is in the uterine wall. There are not worried about that much, but the polyps must come out. One is pressing down into the cervix and they think this is what is causing all the bleeding. Anyway, It's surgery for me before I start my March cycle. The good news, they are still proceeding with the March cycle as long as all goes well with the surgery. Surgery will be next week, and baselines are March 5th. They really want me in March, so we are still shooting for that. Wish me luck that all goes well.

Nicki, That sounds awful. Just what you need right now.

Sher, I can relate to the baby thing. After my first IVF cycle, my best friend asked me to be in the delivery room with her. I was really excited. My husband was sooo mad at me for accepting. he thought I was crazy. Although it was beautiful, and I was sooo happy for her, the minute all started to quiet down in there I headed for the door. I ran all the way out of the hospital hysterical. I cried all the way home. Came flying in the door crying my eyes out. Boy DH was even madder then. He said "Why in the world did you do that to yourself? EEK! It was so hard. She's my god daughter, and love her to death, but probably wouldn't recommend that kind of torture to anyone. hee heee

Nimble, I think DH is right. They are definitely getting ready. :-) More later girls. My nephew is visiting and just woke up from his nap. Gotta run.

janice - yeek sorry to hear about yr polyps (sorry do you mind me asking what are they exactly :? ) but it is good that they doing surgery next week so that you can stick to your march cycle - it would have been a shame to lose you.

Hows the weight loss doing - obviously they are pleased with you as you are still doing march cycle - well done, you should be proud of yourself.

Hi there

I'm good and hubby says he had a good SA today. Lets hope he beats his 95mil that he had for the IUI that was cancelled. I didn't go but of course I had to text him a few things to help him along. I get scared that he'll get anxious and won't be able to do his thing. The last time he went he felt rushed and the time before that, he was upset that he didn't give enough to anylise. There was a guy that help everyone up making them late as he was in there so long, like he had all day hubby said. Then the was all smarmy and making jokes to the other guys waiting, like 'hope it's no pressure on your guy or anything, but I did good'.

Hubby said he was a total ass, and it mad him late going in, and late getting back to work, and he felt so pressured to get the job done, he felt he'd let us down or something. I felt so sorry for him, so now whenever he goes, I give him a little bit of me to focus on in someway to relax him, and it's done the trick so far. He was never a guy to bo bothered about going, and then that happened, he wonders if gonna happen again sometimes, and he feels like he's doing his bit instead of me being the vunerable one all the time.

All is well though, I'm going to get my meds on Wednesday and then I'm ready for stimming in a few weeks. Hubby's not looking forward to having to wear a condom this cycle either. He hasn't worn one for over 8 and a half years since we started ttc, so he's not looking forward to that lol. But I said he'll have to wear one, or we might stuff up this cycle if I suddenly decide to Ov, and don't get the best chance and it's not a ripe egg we get caught with. Just my luck it work out that way a well lol.

Steph Yeah you are past the first injection  !! I swear that was the hardest for me and then it only got easier from there.

Janice I am so sorry to hear that you have polyps and need to have surgery :x but I am really glad to hear that you will still be able to cycle in March. I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best next week!

Nicola My goodness girl, you have about enough stress right now, did you forget to tell your plumbing that? Hopefully you were able to find a little humor in it maybe not right away but eventually. I agree that when it rains it pours and girl you need an umbrella right now. I hope you are able to get it figured out so that is does not happen agian! Oh and about the injection site I use my tummy. When we were doing IUI's I injected into my thigh and my leg hurt for a couple of days after but in my tummy there is no pain!

Vicki Hey it sounds like your cruise was relaxing and fun but isn't it just like AF  to try and ruin things, hopefully you got back at her and had a great time anyways!

Anna Have you heard when your surgery will be? I will be thinking of you and wishing you well! That is great that you can still cycle in March :P .

Coco Your post was sooo Funny! You really crack me up! So it sounds like you are all set to go. GOOD LUCK :D

Bridget Jones Dunkin Donughts that was great! If only it were that easy huh.

Sha I can totally understand your emotions going crazy with the new arrival of the baby :( . I have a hard enough time with my best friend who is 16 weeks along. Luckily she is very respectfully and if anything hides her excitement to try and protect me. We have had conversations about my pain yet happiness that her unborn baby is healthy and growing strong. It is a hard line to walk to have it hurt so much yet be so happy for someone else all at the same time!

As for me the Sono and trial transfer went great :P . There were no ployps and thankfully no scaring from the miscarriage a couple of months ago. I have my plan and opps, I jumped a bit ahead of myself when I thought I would be stimming on the 4th of March. Actually I will start Lupron on March 4th. I start stims on March 14th. I have a baseline ultrasound on the 13th and following ultrasounds on the 19th,21st adb 23rd. They are planning to do the retreivel on the 25th or 26th and then a day five transfer on the 29th or 30th. The pg test would then be 9 days following the transfer on around the 9th of April. I am really luck since I have all of my medications already. My clinic prescribed them back in December so that my insurance would cover them at full coverage. So I got really lucky and my insurance paid for all of my meds. I still hit the check book today when I wrote the down payment check but here goes nothing.
I hope everyone is doing great and best of luck in each step of this process!
Jill

Nicky, that's too bad about your ceiling and especially with insurance not being able to cover it! ARGH! Hope that gets resolved soon and won't make too much of a dent money-wise.

Nerms, I was wondering where you've been. Glad to see you back! Hope all is well! I have not recieved a schedule yet so I'll base my ER and ET on yours, if you don't mind! Have fun sniffing!

Shantala, good luck on your test tomorrow!

Steph, I'm glad you enjoyed your 1st acu session. I'm not having sessions for at least 2 weeks since my first and I feel like I'm losing quite a lot of relaxation :?

BWHD, isn't that crazy with these polyps??? I have 1 and will have the hysteroscopy tomorrow.

Nimble, polyps are overgrowth of the uterine lining and are benign but the uterus needs to be clear prior to transfer. I had some removed 6 months ago via lap/hysteroscopy and I guess they do come back. They're doing mine under general anesthesia....which I can't wait to be done with so I can go home and sleep the best sleep ever after the drugs!

Jill, how was your saline sonogram. Hope everything was clear!

MarciaL, are they putting you on bcp's at all prior to down regging?

As for me, I'm getting my meds via FEDEX tomorrow and start Lupron on Wednesday...it's finally here!

Hope everyone else has a good night!

As I'm here I'll say a quick hello.

I'm in the middle of conditioning my hair, one of these wrap and deep set things. For the record, not sure if I mensioned but I'm a Trading Law Co-ordinator for ASDA Walmart.

So how is everyone?

Amanda - How's the stims going?

Anna - You all ready for the down regging or you nervous? Sorry to hear about your scan findings and hope you feel better from surgery soon Image. Good to know it's not hindering your IVF :D . Your necklace sounds sweet, looks like it's bringing you luck already.

Bridget - Hi sounds like you have a good IVF plan there, and the womb rooms sounds gorgeous. I've seen Zita West's fertility clinic on TV and she has red and white Womb Room, so that when clients having Acu with IVF have a session, they lay on the loungers and chill listening to music. It's beautifully decked out with prints of roses and other red flowers in bloom. I hope everything works out for you, I'm hoping to have acu on the day of transfer so if possible have it just after then come home and chill.

Chvonne - Hiya, hope everything went well with your injectiosn hun  .

Coco - Hi there, funny story about the BCP's, I've had a cashier look at me funny once when I bought, condoms, opk's and hpt's when we were o our IUI cycle. The look of ocnfusion was a hilarious, good luck with everything hun.

Denise - Sorry to hear you have so many issues to deal with, but I'm sure everything will go your way. Have you had the PCOS confirmed at all? I hope you don't have it and that you're feeling ok, I know Endo can be hard.

Holly - Skiing sounds great, hope you're having fun, I'd love to try ice skating, but can't afford to have lessons, as the money I'd be using for that, I could use for acupuncture, so I'm having to be practicle at the moment.

Jackie - How you coping drinking so much water? I've started drinking more, it's said to be the best time in preperation fir the IVF cycle.

Janice - Hope all goes well with the weight loss, just go it a few pounds a week, that's what I'm aiming to do. I'd just got for lots of walks and do toning and fat burning exercises, it's what I do at the gym and it makes your thighs feel great lol give it a go. As for the BMI, it depends on your height, but ideally they say women shouldn't be heavier than a BMI of 30 and the idel is around 28 or 29 if possible. I'd say as long as you try and stay 30 or just below and stay there, that's a lot less pressure than going any lower than that, it's crazy you'll waste away. See what your doc thinks about you getting to 29, 29.5 mark. I hope the prob with the bleeding is clearing up with those meds, and you're handling them ok hope it works out for you. Sorry to hear the news about your scan as well

Jill - Sorry about your M/C hun Image, wishing lots of luck this time, glad your scan went ok :) .

Karen - Hi there, I don't know much about the amount of frosted embries you put back, did you ask around the site or google it? I think you might get some good advice around here. Did you talk it over anymore with hubby as to what you'd like to do?

Karia - Hi there, any news on what doseage meds you'll be on?

Mandeeq - Hello, sounds like you've had a traumatic time. Lets hope your healing goes well in time for your start to your FET. I've read that Arnica 6c is good for healing and taking Vitamins and minerals to help like Vit C and Vit E. The only thing I can think of that will help you our there and for your lining is Acupuncture. It'll promote good blood flow and get your body and hormomes in harmony with each other to give you a good endometrium, so maybe you could look into that :D . Green tea is an antioxident and will help flush the system of toxin, in which will help with egg production, and promoting more CM but never heard it benefitting your lining.

Nerms - Hi there, how's the down regging going? Is it irretating at all and do you have to spray and breath it in, or spray and sniff at the same time? Hope you're O.K. on it anyway. And did the baby shower go?

Sonya - Sorry to hear your hospital messed up, but good that they are paying for their mistakes and giving you guys another chance, the whole thing should be free if you ask me, but at least they're looking for reduced prices for you.
