Tanya, I am having back aches as well, for two weeks I think. If i am constantly on my feet or even in a sitting position, i feel the pain. I have to take a lil break and get some rest on a sofa or something. I also wanted to ask you girls, if you get a vaginal pressure, it is not constant but still it bothers the hell out of me. I can't find anything on internet and I was wondering if you guys know anything about it.

Noodle I am with you on U/S. Well we would have to hire an U/S tech as well, because we would have no idea what is going on on that screen

I had another scan on Monday and the news wasnt good. We made the heart wrenching decision. It's done. I cried for hours last night. I still can't stop crying.
More bad news-My cervix is at 1.4 and he said 90% he will have to put in a cerclage to "TRY" to save the last remaining baby. Key word is TRY. No guarantee we will even be coming home with one. I am so scared. I had bought a whole bunch maternity clothes over the weekend and now I can't even take them out of the bag. I am sorry to always be the bearer of bad news. How do you go from Quads to the Peri saying he hopes we have one healthy baby.
It makes me happy that the rest of you are doing so well.
Anyone have experience with Cerclages? It's like a full on surgery with a multiple day stay in the hospital! Then it seems full on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. [/code]

rikirees, sorry girl for everything you are going thru... As sad as it is, you have to think about your remaining baby. The good thing they caught your cervix prob on time. I read that with cerclage surgery, bedrest and close monitoring women can carry a healthy baby till 37 weeks. Please just stay positive and think positive. Good luck and don't worry about the of being a barrier of bad news, we all are here for you.

rikirees - sorry to read what you're going through. You've had it rough. My prayers are with you and dh.

Hey, sorry I've been away. We went to the beach this past weekend for a little get away. It was nice to get a break. However, the drive (7.5 hrs) was a killer. We basically spent 2 days driving and 2 days on the beach. But heah, it was free. My cousin owns a condo there.

Nothing new here except getting bigger. I go from wearing regular stretchy clothes to maternity clothes, back and forth. This is an awkward stage, don't you agree?

So, anyone feeling movement yet?

My heart is just breaking for you. I am so sorry that you were forced to make that decision. It must be sooo hard for you to have to go through all of this. Although you are trying to do the best for the one baby it is still so scary. I feel so badly for you. I can't even imagine how you are feeling right now with all you have been through to get pregnant and with all you have been through to save the one healthy baby. I just can't. We are here to support and uplift you though while you are going through this. Did they put you on bed rest with your cervix at that length? Any restrictions? My doctor did mention the cerclage but did not tell me anything about the procedure.

Jovigal
Yes I have the same thing. It is on and off again with some of the really stretchy stuff to some of the not so stretchy stuff. We are in the inbetween stages of growth. I remember with my boys I really started to pooch out there for real at about 20 weeks. It seems like one day I got up and there it was. I am still feeling little flutters here and there but I sure would like to be feeling them more!!!! Nice vacation and it was free that is the beautiful.

Malinka
Yes I get the pressure and it is quite annoying at times. I just feel like I want to lay down to relieve it. Some days it puts me in a bad mood. I am happy to be preggo and all but just grumpy from pressure and hormones and I dont think that that will get any better any time soon....Cant wait until the babies come though!!! Still excited about that and focusing on it.

Not much else going on with me. Just waiting until Tuesday when I go in for my u/s appt and pap-yuck.....

Hey girls- sorry to cut in but I have a question. I cycled with some of you in May/June thread!

I went to hear the heartbeat yesterday and it was 160. When we told my MIL she said oh it's a boy. Then some of the people my mom works with told her oh that's a girl. Have any of you ever heard this? That the heartrate can idicate what you are having? I know it is probably just an old wives tale, but I thought it would be fun to ask around. Thanks for listening! Take care everyone!
Jenn

Hey jenn, good to hear from you again. Looks like your pg is doing well. About the heartbeat thing, yes, it's an old wives tale. I did some research on this awhile back and the experts say the heartbeat has nothing to do with the sex of the baby. I think the tale is if the heartbeat is high, it's a girl or lower, it's a boy, I believe... ? It's still fun to try to guess though.

Yeah! You are preggo! Sounds like you have a good heartbeat!!! Jovigal is right about the old wives tale but I have heard that it does not matter either way...it is still fun though...LOL So glad that you stopped in. Stop in again we would love to hear from you!

Rikirees- words cannot say, I cried when I read your post, stay strong for your little baby.

Jovigal- nice to just get away, living in Jersey I am very fortunate, hit the beach in 2 hours and sking in 2 we love that about Jersey, I still wear some of my regular clothes but mostly maternity, I popped at 10 weeks LOL...

TansRN- GL on Tuesday, oh the excitement.....We have our 2nd trimester scan 9-7, DH is very excited to find out sex, I really didn't want to find out, but he's so intent, I'll let him have this one.

Malinka- I get what they tell me is ligament stretching, lower ab and sometimes extremely painful simular to cramping, but scary considering. Let me know what your DR says.

Jenn- stop in any time, our "mini's" HB has always been around 160, I feel like it's a girl. I also read up quite a bit about the old wives tale but some said faster meant a girl and saome said faster meant a boy...who knows!

I got on the scale this morning...13lbs, it sure looks like alot more, I had to go up another cup size, DD, DH just runs around the house chanting boobies.....boobies! I think 10 of the lbs is in my chest. Any way...I'm I way out of control...should I have gained less???? Ever since I stopped working out I'm getting nervous of crazy weight gain because I eat SOOO MUCH.

Hey guys sorry about the MIA...

rikirees - I'm so sorry to read your post.. I have also read all about cerclage my cervix seems to be shrinking everytime I go. I have read plenty of posts that once the stitch is put in you can make it to a full term pregnancy. They do the stitch in the hospital under an epidural and usually requires a day or two stay so they can moniter you and baby to make sure there is no contractions and give you antibiotics. I will find out myself how much closer I am next week. I pray that all goes well and your lil one is as strong as you are.

malinka - I also get that pressure and if we are out DH makes us leave and I get to come home and lay down for a while.

Well we had an emergency appt 2 days after our other appt thanks to cramps and stuff I tried to tell them it was just another UTI (3rd one already) But they made me go in... This little bugger is so stubborn it is not funny. "He" would not let her hear his heartbeat on doppler.. ha ha So I got another sono... Like I minded. But we found out why he is so hard to hear.. They said he is in my back and breech which makes it very hard and she was very shocked that we could find him at home ..... He likes us better than the Drs ha ha. Our Amnio is Tues. One min. I am OK with it and the next a little stressed but I have many friends that have had it done saying it is no big deal. I'm looking on the plus side....I will know next week for 100% what "lil bit" is.

Will finish post later gotta run.... Hope everyone else is well
Stephanie

hey girls, how is everybody doing?
noodle I dont' have cramps ( thanks god), it is just a vaginal pressure. I called my doctor's office and spoke w nurse. She said it is nothing to worry it means that because I have 2 babies utirus or something is stretching... bla bla bla, anyways, if I feel I am getting the pressure, I try to lay down for a lil bit and it goes away.

My2LnT, wow you have a very creative baby, he/she is playing hide and seek:) lol Good luck w amnio and keep us posted who u r having.

Hey girls-

Thank you for responding! I will definately drop in more often. I am due Feb. 11th so I am a little behind you guys. The Feb. thread doesn't chat much though, and I know most of you from May/June thread so I hope you don't mind me cutting in!

Tanya- you already know what you are having? You must be so excited!

We have decided not to find out what we are having. Anyone else doing the same? It is driving our friends and family crazy!
Jenn
