Wooo Hooo...May 23rd is the day!! SD & LoveBug I was thinking I'd sneak a Poas on the 21st. It doesn't seem that long..only a week. I'm sure I'll be crazy at the beginning of next week.

I too was cramping a bit today. I think it's too soon to mean anything. Probably indigestion from that In N Out Burger, Double Double with cheese I had yesterday. Oh Yeah...after being so good for months, I couldn't have wine so this was the next best thing  Boy it was good!!!!

Turtles You'll do great. That's the protocol they put us old ladies on & it works great. It gives them a big push at the beginning, so they all start growing. I want a bath...aaahh. We got our spa redone & my dh just sits in there gloating.
Big hug to you!!

jharris12 i was quite crampy the 1st time around, especially on day 2. This time wasn't too bad. And yes, I find the PIO shots horrible....well, not the actual shot but later on you get a really sore butt. I have a routine that works pretty well...do them in the morning because walking around helps it spread into the muscle. I put the vial in some warm water for a minute...it thins it & makes the injection easier. I also lie on a heat pad for a couple of mins to warm my muscle. Flick the injection spot, you don't feel it as much. After it's in rub firmly in circles, apply heat for 10 mins, rub again and move your leg around.
No ice!! it stops it from spreading & you get knots.
I didn't realize they didn't even give you a fert report...that seems strange.

SD did you buy in bulk? how funny. Oooooh you're sneaky!
The class, I mean frostie report was great...wow, you really did well. Mine was a 3 day transfer...get em while they're good :)

Adsgirl, I am so sorry about your cyst. I am glad they found it early. I am sure you are so frustrated, but your body will be perfect when you start again.

Turtles on a stump, I am so sorry about your cancelled cycle.

My heart goes out to both of you. I know these delays are so frustrating!!
Sending hugs,

SDtrying – thanks so much for your pep talk. It meant a lot to me. I am actually doing a lot better than I thought I would with all these hormones running through me. I had a hard time sleeping last night and ended up thinking about all the bad things that have happened in my life, here is the short list:

1. Hit by fire truck on motorcycle and lost leg above the knee. Husband was in coma for 2 months and then 25 surgeries over next couple of years. We are good now.

2. House destroyed in Hurricane Ivan.

3. Ectopic pregnancy that lost me my last tube. This scared me because I didn’t go to the emergency room because I didn’t want to be a bother (I know, pretty stupid huh). That night I just didn’t get up much because every time I almost blacked out. The pain was horrible. Next day I had a belly full of blood.

After all of that, a little delay isn’t bad at all. :) I mean we have been trying for number 2 for 4 years now. As my DH said a few more months is nothing. I now have no hesitation with shots. Can’t say the same about DH as he only attempted two shots  So I am going to use this time to recoup. My Mom flies in next week and my brother and his family are driving down a few days later. Then on the 24th we go for our cruise which I think will be a good get away. Then hopefully get back in the swing of things.

Rinnie – What dose of gonal-f/ follistim were you on? They are going to start me off at 450 next time. I think May 21st is a good time for you girls to test. That is my birthday :)

Wow Turtle you've been through more than I can ever imagine. You must have such an amazing perspective on life in general, sucks you had to go through all that to get it, but I guess that's how it works, huh?

I always knew that all the women on this board were pretty incredible and leading very interesting a special lives, but your life story is pretty powerful, dear. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad you can use it to give you strength.

Turtles and Ads--I am so sorry your cycles got canceled. This whole process is such a waiting game already--it is frustrating to be delayed even further. I'm thinking of you.

I am excited to hear so many of you other ladies are doing well and getting good results so far. Best wishes to you all!

A couple of questions. . . Did anybody feel pain in their ovaries after starting stims? I have only been on stims for one day--but I had a pain in my left side all day today. Is this normal? I am on a microdose flare protocol.

Also--is it bad to drink alcohol while stimming?

i had ovary pain with clomid, but never while stimming. I imagine though its very similar and to quite common. I drank alcohol while stimming- not sure what the official recs are, but for what its worth I did.

good luck, sueQ, keep us posted

jharris - I get my fert report today (next day after ER) and I already know that I'm having a 3day transfer because so few eggs were retrieved. 10 is the perfect number!

turtlesonastump - I'm so sorry your cycle was canceled. I also thought I had this in the bag because my only problem was my tubes. I thought "I'm the perfect candidate and I'm practically gauranteed a baby!" I think they can personalize a protocol for you that will give you better results (that is what I'm for myself if I don't get pregnant this time). Rest up and take time to heal.

I'm on to work - all I can think about are those three little eggs! I will eagerly and with apprehension await my fert report - they said they will call me around 10am or so....... :?:

Hi all--

I'm up early and thought I would tap out a message to you all before heading off to work.

LB--You must be crazy waiting for that message! It's worse than high school, waiting for HIM to call! I wish you the best of luck on your fert report and transfer.

Rinnie and SDTrying--The two of you crack me up! My wish for you both--May you find HPTs on sale by the gross in your local markets. We are really pulling for you and LoveBug on the 23rd. You both show such kindness, humor and grace and your embies are lucky!

SueQiwi--I am on day 4 of stims and so far I have experienced: headaches, a bloated "full" feeling and fatigue. I went to sleep last night at 8:15 pm! No side pain for me, but I understand that's normal.

Dakota--Regarding your BCP question: My RE put me on BCPs for about 16-17 days. Then she added Lupron to the mix. So for about 3-4 days, I was taking both. When I got to the placebo part of the BCP pack, I continued Lupron and got AF two days later. On day 2 of my cycle they started me on stims. So the very long answer to your question is, yes, they used my artificial BCP AF as the kick off to my cycle.

JDC--Morristown is supposed to be very good. I had a good experience in their emergency room once (long story; I used to work in Madison). Congrats on your 3 eggs!

Jharris--Congrats on your perfect 10! Take it easy until you are feeling better. And good luck on your fert report.

Turtle--You really have been through a lot. I admire your strength, resolve and humor. Enjoy your chocolate, your baths, your wine, your family visits and your cruise. You deserve it, girl! And thanks for your tip on the stretch pants! I feel huge. I have to go to a cocktail party on Friday (club soda for me) and I am trying to figure out if and how I can pull off yoga pants (probably not).

AdsGirl--Thanks for your good wishes. I hope this cycle passes quickly for you so you can get started.

Have a great day girls!

Good morning Ladies! I hope everyone is well today.

Rinnie & SDtrying We need to sync our testing on the 21st. That way we all know together :D Best of luck Ladies. I am getting the POAS itch already...I know my HcG is prob not even out of my system though. I understand the need to pee on everything though!!! :D :D

Turtlesonastump I am so sorry about yout cycle being cancelled. Think about this though, you didnt have to pay all kinds of money for a poor cycle, and next month they have some idea on how to start you out. I know it's not really any consolation. My first BFN was heartbreaking, but my RE really made me realize a lot of first cycles are test drives for the real thing....I am sorry, sweetie. :(

JDC I hope your threee little peanuts are growing big and strong so that when they do the ET, you will end up with triplets!!! Youre an amazing person- hang in there!!! :D

Karen did you get your BFP yet?!?! It should be soon, right?

Well for anyone I missed, I hope you are all doing well!!! I cant wait to fill our board with BFP!!!! :D :D

SueQiwi:
I know people have drank while stimming. I think most RE say no, because they want you to think as if you were pregnant already. For me I didnt want to do anything that might have made me think, "what if I didnt do this or that?"

Good morning ladies! This will be short as we are on our way out - I was on my way to work when we got the call that transfer is this morning at 10:30 EST so we dropped our dog off at doggie day care and turned around! We have 6 embies left of the 9, I know nothing about the quality. I am a little nervous since they decided to do a 3 day and not wait til 5 that the quality isn't great, but need to put all those negative thoughts aside!! I have been watching the Secret - all about the power of positive thinking! So here is hoping that these little guys (or girls!) are fighters and will snuggle in quite well! Looking forward to joining those of you in the dreaded 2ww.

Will update later - but wanted to say that Turtles, you are a true inspiration. If anyone deserves this to happen - it is you!!! I am envious of your big glass of wine - have some for all of us, and hopefully you stick around to update us on your June cycle!

Thanks everyone for your kindness. I just love the support of this message board. I am so glad I found it.

SDtrying
- I am now a definite believer in if something doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger  I never thought I was very strong until I was tested and was pretty surprised about myself. I love life :) Oh, I have bath bombs I use in the tub. They have bath salts and oils in them. They are from a company called Me Bath and are great!!

LB
– Good luck on the transfer this morning. Sending you lots of sticky dust :)

Rinnie and SDtrying
– Not to be an enabler but I found bulk pregnancy tests on amazon and overstock.com. Hmm, might invest in some for next cycle :D

SueQiwi
– I had some pains in my ovaries while stimming. I also would have a glass of wine with dinner sometimes during stims. It helped me not get too stressed.

ForMaggie
– Summer dresses are good also. They are even better because nothing is pushing on your belly.

Wishing everyone lots of luck in there stimming, ER, ET or 2ww.

So, DH and I had to go back in to RE today because for some reason they didnt get our forms in the mail, so we went in and resigned everything, plus DH was absent during my training so he had to be shown how to do the PIO shot (OMG that thing is HUGE!!!). While there I asked the nurse about the BCP and AF thing and she said they dont change a thing. I know this is their business and they do it everyday and have great success rates, but I am stressing over it. I think if I start early, they should bump me up? Later, I looked at my protocal report and it says real big not to call when I start AF. I stress over everything and I am afraid its not going to work because its not conformed to me. Aaarrhhh.

jharris
- girl, I'll be thinking about you with the PIO shots, I just seen the needle for the first time today and about passed out!! The nurse said it wasnt bad at all (of course she'd say that, she's not the one getting it!!). Let me know how it goes.

turtle
I am sorry your cycle getting cancelled  When I am within days or hours of AF, if I have an orgasm, she arrives within 30 mins. Everytime...full proof...works for me. So, have your wine, take a hot bath and tell DH to get busy!!! Of course, you know if it doesnt work the first time, you must repeat
Also, I was sorry to read all the stuff you and DH has gone through in the last 4 years. I know how you feel, but not that great of extent. We were orignally scheduled for Lupron Jan, but DH lost him job so we paniced and cancelled. 2 week later he got a new one so we rescheduled for Feb, then my Grandpa died and we had to cancel. We AGAIN rescheduled for March, but we had a problem with COBRA and couldnt get my meds, so off for April, then my Grandma died. So here we are in May and I offically started Lupron. I didnt think I was ever going to get to this point, but hey, we've been TTC since 2000, whats a fwe more months....yah enough to drive someone crazy!!

LB Very exciting for you ET today. You should be posting a BFP within the next two weeks :o

I hope all is well with everyone else, counting down the days until all the BFP start rolling in. I cant wait :D

Hi Everybody -
I just wanted to let you know that of my 3 eggs, only 2 fertilized and they were abnormal. I had to leave work and come home. I'm so dissappointed. It is hard because as I was telling my father the news, my sister was visiting his office to show of her 6 week old beautiful child. I don't want to be jealous and feel sorry for myself, but honestly, right now I do.

First of all I have to say, you ladies are all so remarkable! Every time I read the board i am amazed at the courage, humor, love & support you all give. As we all go up & down it's wonderful to know you're all out there.

Turtles Your journey has tested you in every way, but your wonderful attitude will carry you through & you'll get what you wish for!
They split my stims to morning and night, so I started with 225 follistim in am, and 3 vials menopur at night, along with the Lupron. But had to cut it down ( should have been sooner) to 150 F & 2 vials, then 1 vial. It was just the flare protocol, not the microdose flare, but the concept is the same....really give them a good shove at first, then slow and steady once they get going.
Hmmm...Amazon huh? 3 day shipping would work :)
Your birthday it is ! May 21st...poas day.
And have an awesome cruise!!

SueQiwi Like I said to Turtles, all the flare protocols really shove you out of the gate, so the ovaries get a jolt & feel sore. That's totally normal. Means it's working :)

ForMaggie Thanks for your support! Yep..Turtle's Amazon idea sounds like the plan :) I will be dying by Monday.

LB Good luck today...i'm sure they'll be great & snuggle right in! They'll leave some to blast & maybe you'll get some frosties.

LoveBug Hold your bladder girl! I guess we're on for Turtle's birthday on the 21st..it'll be good luck for all of us.
I rested yesterday....not sure why they do that because they're not burying in yet, but got to follow doctor's orders. Hope you're feeling well!

Girls...here's my PIO method and I swear it works if you want to try

I posted to JHarris12, but wanted to tell you all...my butt is much less sore.

Do them in the morning because walking around helps it spread into the muscle & that's the point. I put the vial in some warm water for a minute...it thins it & makes the injection easier & faster. I also lie on a heat pad for a couple of mins to warm my muscle. Flick the injection spot just before injecting, you don't feel it as much. After it's in, rub firmly in circles, apply heat for 10 mins, rub again in deep wide circles and move your leg around. I walk around the room & lift my leg, back , front, side......dh has a good laugh.
No ice!! it stops it from spreading & you get knots because it thickens the oil all stays in one spot.

Hope it helps ...it's not that bad :)
