Hi ladies,

Thanks for the encouragement. I had my ER today and 4 eggs were retrieved. My RE seems to think that he will be able to transfer 3 embies on Monday.

cressicaw - I had cysts on my right ovary, and because I've had cysts before, I could actually feel them. I took BC for one week, and then I started on the Lupron. By the time I was reading to start my stim meds, one cyst was completely gone, and the other was very small.

katie99 - okay I have to admit that the story about the bear was scarey, and a little funny (he actually ran up the tree!). I am glad to know that everyone came out unscathed!

lw918 - it looks like we will have our ET on the same day. Do you know how many you RE will transfer?

Hey all- we really are a chatty bunch, aren't we? But I love logging on and seeing how everyone is doing. Michele - that picture is so adorable - definitely one to save to embarrass her in front of her prom date someday.

I'm definitely hitting a low point of the 2ww. The closer I get to the beta the more I convince myself that it's going to be a BFN. I know I need to stay positive, but after all these years of failure, it's just hard to pull out of the mindset that other people get to have babies, not me. I know I'm just tired and hormonal, and will feel better tomorrow. Sorry, I don't mean to wallow, but i know you ladies understand.

beth - oh hon, I'm so sorry you're feeling so low. I must admit, it's starting to hit me too, so I'm right there with you. BUT, every time I have a down thought, I speak words of life into those little embies. I choose to speak words of belief, even though I have doubts. You and I are both PUPO, so hang in there my dear. This is so hard, but we're all here together! (((hugs)))

Thanks, dogz. That helps - that we're in the same place, but also your thoughts for keeping it positive. Now I'm just trying to keep thinking, "you can do it" to my little blasts, and hope that helps.

Beth and Dogz- you girlies hang in there! I know it gets so hard during the 2ww, I have been in a 2ww that resulted in a positive and one that resulted in a negative, and no matter what the result, I still couldn;t help but think the worst. I do hope this is the time for both of you to become mommies. Just know that there are hundreds of inspirational stories on these boards and you should never give up hope. I am living proof, my husband was told 20 years ago when he was 13 that he would never have kids, and look at the beautiful little girl we have now....just keep the faith, I am sending lots of sticky dust to both of you and will say an extra prayer.

Hello lovely ladies,

I have been quietly watching all your posts for a while now, unsure whether to join in or not - i have never used a chat room in my life. But the support you all give each other is amazing and i am just starting to feel like i could do with some of that! :) I am currently stimming with menopur for our first try at icsi. We went for my day 5 scan yesterday and were totally disappointed at what a low response i had had to the drug. I have 1 follicle at 14mm and 4 small ones. We were asked to decide if we wanted to abandon the cycle or try over the weekend - tripling my menopur and starting my cetrotide injections and rescanning on Monday to see what has happened. I just couldn't face giving up immediately (we have waited a year to get to this point and all our savings are ploughed into this) so we are going to see what happens over the weekend. Please tell me - the experienced ones - is all hope lost for this cycle? or could those 4 little follies grow (or could i make more with such an increase in dose?)

Sorry for such a long message, i think you ladies are all amazing and believe me - you are helping me keep my sanity through this craziness (well some of it anyway!)

Sticky thoughts and baby dust to all!!

Hi Girls. WOW, you are chatty! I did not look for like a few hours and there are a zillion posts. I am not sure I can keep up.

Well I am just popping in while my little one sleeps. Great news, someone FINALLY called me back. I have my polyp surgery on 8/6! Whoo hoo....My RE told me right after sx, I can stop BCP to get period and on day 3 start them right back up so I can start Lupron etc....So not too much of a delay! Yippie!

I just wanted to send some ((((hugs)))) to beth.

I have this posted on my fridge to help me, "Whether you believe you can or you believe you can't, you are right!" So believe you can!!!!

I had a question for dogz - How come my doctor does a pregnancy test after 3 days of the transfer and everyone is on 2WW.

Helengb - This is the first message board I have ever been on too and against my doctors orders, I log on everyday. I love it and have learned a ton!!!! We are doing our 1st IVF and I start stims tomorrow. We have to do ICSI too.

cressica- you dr does a pregnancy test only 3 days after transfer? Is that the only one or does he do another one later than that? There is no way to know at 3 days past transfer if it worked or not. I might post this one to ghost and find out why a clinic would do that.

miyaya- great news about no big delay. what is sx? You said right after sx you can stop bcp, is that the surgery?

helen- welcome to the boards. You will get lots of support here. those follies can definitely still grow and others can pop up. With my last fresh cycle, I only had about 10 measurable follies on day 4 and then on day 6 it had almost doubled, so don't lose hope just yet.

fitz- I hope af shows for you soon. Your turn will come, hopefully very very soon :D

I will check in again later...have a good weekend!
