Alisa- Yes we went through the IVF Attain program...We had decided to go in that direction after our first failed IVF, it depleted our funds and I had a choice to use the credit cards for maybe one more try OR go through the program and get 6 cycles with 70% back IF we don't bring home a healthy baby by my 38th birthday. Some states may have different stipulations but it's certainly worth checking out. Let me know what you find out. We financed a HUGE loan through Springstone, once the paperwork was signed there was no turning back. We had success on the 2nd try, a FET cycle so far things are good. But It's good to research every option out there possible, and have backup plan in the back of our minds. I figured if we don't bring home this baby we would take the money and adopt. But it's still too early to say, time must be on our side right now, and right now let's get ready for your beta in the morning, I'm wishing you all the best and certainly will be praying tomorrow!

Dawn- I agree IVF treatment can play a toll on our relationships especially when we are on the verge of telling dh off. They have no clue what these hormones do to us emotionally...Our poor dear husbands...All they can do is give us space when we need it and be a shoulder to cry on during those moments. We certainly act like room-mates for the most part, it is hard at times. I'm glad he's giving you the injections, and he's staying involved. This cannot last forever. X

Kristy- The mock transfer was fine, it was like a pap smear to me that lasted 5 minutes..You might feel some mild cramping with the clamp and ask them if you can take motrin prior to the procedure, that would help with the cramping.

Blommi- Welcome to the forum! You found a great support group and we'll help you get through the 2ww.
If you are interested message me your email and I will send you some relaxation/mediation tapes that will help ease your mind while going through the wait, these really helped me sleep at night. Ninde aka Patricia sent them to me while I was going through my last IVF cycle. You asked about the 5 day old embryos, are you saying they weren't hatching when they transfered them? What grades were they, anything A or B is good.

AFM: Nothing new, still waiting on dh's job callbacks, colleges are s-l-o-w in the interview/hiring process. I cleaned house and now playing with a spice bed..rosemary, lemon thyme, sweet mint and oregano. Dh bought me plants last night so I wouldn't have to grow them from seeds...

Mylove- 7dpo is way too early. There is a great site that gives you details on when pregnancy tests are commonly positive. It's www.countdowntopregnancy.com. I am addicted. It will even give you likely results by brand. Keep your chin up and good luck.

Bloomi- welcome and good luck. Early blasts can do just fine and its a great sign that your frosty blossomed. Good luck! We are here to help with the 2ww insanity.

All- I am a BAD BAD board participant. I got a faint BFP on Wondfo and FRER yesterday (and actually Sunday too but didn't realize it until taking out the trash today). Line keeps getting darker. But not dark enough and fast enough to make me not worry about Beta tomorrow. Sorry for being bad about posting on this site. :-( And my love- I started at 7dpo also and got my clear BFP on 11 dpo. Still lots of hope and lots of time.

Baby dust to all!

I knew it was too early. I just wanted to make sure the HCG from my trigger was all gone. Per the chart, 11dpt is when it should be accurate or enough to show in urine. I called the RE this morning because I ended up with my DH cold. Silly as it may sound, I've been scared that I've been coughing so hard that it may interfere with implantation. But they reassured me that it shouldn't, not won't, but shouldn't. I didn't like hearing shouldn't. I believe I'm hitting the obsessed mode. I hope everyone gets many BFP and have beautiful babies! Best of my love and wishes to you all!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and support!

Sunshine1576: My email is lindsaymbloom@gmail.com, so please feel free to send me anything that you think will help me during the 2ww :-) In regards to my 5 day embryos that were transferred, they said they couldn't grade them because they weren't yet blastocysts. However, the one that they were able to freeze on day 6 was a 3BB.

BlissfulCS: Thanks so much for your words of encouragement :-) I am trying to hold out hope, but it's hard when you know that the embryos weren't the best quality put in. I just hope and pray that they'll like being inside me better, and at least one decides to hang on tight!

Sorry if I don't know your proper names (I'm sure they're in the forum somewhere).

Good luck to all of you fellow IVF"ers currently going through their cycle or 2ww, and congrats to all of those who have gotten their BFP's!

So nice to see more new faces. I hope I can keep everyone straight.

Bloomi/Lindsay-Congrats on being PUPO! Welcome to the group. We are glad to have you. The 2ww is a killer. It is a good sign that the one popsicle made it to blastocyst. Find something to keep you busy. I have heard many stories on this board and others where low grade embryos have made healthy babies. Not that yours are low grade, but just saying. Keep your chin up and let us know what is going on. When is your BETA?

Mylove/Dawn-At least you know the trigger is out. It is very early. Some start testing 7dpt.Most start getting BFP around 9-11 dpt depending on a 3 or 5 day. I am not a POAS queen and have always been to chicken. My failed IUI burned me on the sticks and I decided they were bad luck for me. The on going twinges and cramps are a good sign. The boobs always seem to come and go for me. It is hard not to read anything into it with all the drugs, but it helps to be hopeful. The headaches are probably hormone induced. Hard to say natural or not. Prayer you you and your family concerning DH health. It is so hard when someone you love is ill. I pray you get your BFP to bless both your lives in this time of trial.

BrightStar/Kristy-The mock was easy for me. It is good for the RE so he can know how it is to get in the uterus and what size catheter to use for you. Do drink the water they tell you too, but don't over do it if you are already a big water drinker. I drink tons and followed instructions and like to have died waiting to pee. In all my transfers I only drank the 24 oz in the last hour and all went much easier. You usually do BCP anywhere from 2-4 weeks for a cycle before going off and starting stims. Depends on the RE. Glad you are getting this party started.

Sunshine/Christy-I hope you are doing well. I know the waiting on DH job is a killer. Special prayer to you both he gets the right job for both of you and you can sleep under the same roof this year.

BlissfulCS/Alisa-Hang in there girl. We are here cheering you on. I say you are only second to Leora in POAS. That is a tough title to earn. I have a good feeling all is well. Hugs!!!

Amanda- Hope all is going well. It is hard to wait on the u/s. Seems like a lot of waiting in this process. Enjoy and relax till the u/s.

Bloomi/Lindsay- 2ww
Mylove/Dawn- 2ww
Brightstar/Kristy-Waiting to cycle
Sunshine/Christy- 12 weeks pregnant. YEA!!!!!
BlissfulCS-Alisa-BFP pee stick and BETA on Friday.
Amandah2013/Amanda-BFP Congrats!! First U/S 5/28
Suzyq/Cristie-8 1/2 weeks pregnant. So thankful. Next U/S 5/24.

Well ladies I tried to recap the group. I know there are a couple not listed, but we have not heard from them in a few weeks. They may be taking a break. They are in my heart and prayers. This is not an easy journey.

AFM-All is well here. Trying to decide to go the gym or not this morning. Maybe it will help me sleep better. Looking forward to tomorrows u/s. Can't wait to see my little bean again and know it is progressing. Hug to all. :D

Lindsay- I will send out an email with the relaxation tapes this weekend. I hope they will help you as they have helped me especially sleep through restless nights while waiting for the beta.

Cristie- I LOVE the list you created, it's been hard to keep track of everyone. Can you update me to 15 weeks? We go back on June 3rd for our last doppler reading before the 18 wk ultrasound on June 21st. Thank you for keeping my dh's job in your prayers. I must scoot and get ready for work. Will check back on tomorrow to find out how your Ob appt went.

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Cristie- actually my first beta was yesterday and it was 60 which is very solid for 13 dpo. Tomorrow we see if this little one is going to stick after cramps and even a little tiny tiny bit of bleeding. But for now I am confirmed and officially pregnant and at the average level for a singleton at this point. YAY!

Beta 2 was not what we hoped, it went up to 100 but that is a doubling time of 65 hours. Still within normal range but have to go back for another Beta Tuesday. Its going to be a LONG long weekend. Everyone send doubling vibes and prayers or thoughts that a healthy baby is on the way.

Lindsay- This afternoon I sent you a couple relaxation tracts to listen to while you go through the 2ww, I really hope they help, I remember getting anxious and restless during the last part of the wait so these came in perfect timing. Are you planning to test before beta? lol I could never do it, was always too chicken and when my doctor called I seriously did not believe him.Surprises are nice too esp when you least think it's going to happen, but it's so hard to wait that long I know. :D

MyLove- I think you and Lindsay are only days apart. Nice to have cycle buddies along the way and I'm glad you are finding this forum to be great support. That's what we're here for always. Woooo did I read on your "siggie" that you got a BFP when you tested last night? Omg how exciting!!! Not much longer until the big day!!

Alisa- Yes it's definately a long weekend esp. when you're off from work while waiting for Tuesday to get here. I hope you can get together with some friends/family for a big cookout gathering, maybe helping time move a little faster.

AFM: Nothing new here, off today but cookout tonight.

Christy: Thank you so much for the relaxation tapes! I will definitely try using them tonight, as I think I'll need it :-/

Alisa: I know that the wait until your next beta must be so tough. I went through the "iffy beta" wait on my first cycle. I am confident though that your little one will catch up on Tuesday

Dawn: How is your 2ww going?

Right now I'm 6dp5pt with my "early blastocysts". This morning, when I went to the bathroom and wiped, there was a spot of blood. Not brown, tan, or even light pink, but bright red, which makes me nervous. The next time I went to the bathroom, nothing, but then following that, there was some red "streaking" in mucus when I wiped, and a tiny brown spot. The next time I went to the bathroom, when I wiped it was just tinged slightly, very light pink. I called the office and spoke to the on-call doctor, who, coincidentally, was my RE. He didn't seem overly reassuring, but said as long as it doesn't get worse, then to just come in for my Beta as scheduled on Wednesday. If it was brown spotting, I wouldn't feel as nervous, and might even be hopeful that it was implantation spotting. However, with what I've seen today, I can't help but be very worried. Does anyone have any insight to this, or know someone who has had similar symptoms, with positive outcomes? I also don't know if I should POAS or not? I really do want to wait for my Beta, but with all of this going on, I just don't know if I can :?

Thanks in advance for all of your responses!

Mylove- CONGRATS on you BFP! That is wonderful news and I think it is so cute DH is buying tests for you. Most of us long time IVFers just get groans from our hubbies on our pregnancy test. So happy for you.

Bloomil- Shame on your RE for not giving you reassurance. Implantation bleeding can absolutely be pink and even with that in mind people bleed in the first trimester all the time. Since I am going through this with you... I am well aware of the stats. 25-40% of women bleed in the first trimester and typically have a healthy baby in the end. It is even more common in IVF. So hang in there and do your best to stay positive. I am like the pot calling the kettle black because I am losing my mind waiting for beta 3 to ease my mind on Tuesday.

AFM: I have been crazy with the pregnancy tests. They got a shade darker yesterday and this morning and were lighter this afternoon but I am hydrating a lot. At this point they are dark enough they aren't going to tell me anything so I don't know why I keep taking them. I know it would take awhile for the HCG to leave my system and if its ectopic or not viable it will continue to increase but just seeing the lines helps me stay somewhat calm. Woke up this morning with cramping and light brown spotting again but it didn't last long. God I hope this sticks. I know I will live through it, but it would be devastating.

Baby dust to you all.

Hello ladies! I'm sorry for not being on in a while.

My Love: Congrats on your BFP! Such awesome news! have a happy and healthy 9months

Bloomi: You' in my prayers. I know how scary that blood spot could be but I just know you will be fine. Stay positive my friend

Blissful: it will stick. I just know it. All positive thoughts around here

AFM: I had my orientation and ultrasound on Friday. They decided to push my mock transfer back. I'm going to schedule that on Wednesday 5/29. Everything went really well. They doctors didn't see my Fallopian tube on the ultrasound which according to them is a good thing. The doc said that if it showed up that would mean there was fluid in it. However, they didn't see any so I don't have to have the tube removed! My RE said that a normal amount of eggs for a woman my age should be anywhere from 10-12 eggs. They counted 29 eggs in my ovaries! So she said they will put me on the lowest amount of fertility drugs because I'm already producing a lot of eggs already. They started me on BCP and gave me my calendar.

6/7: starts Lupron shots
6/12: last BCP
6/19: baseline Labs
6/21: start Stims
6/30: trigger shot
7/2: egg retrieval
7/5 egg transfer

I'm really confused about the difference between a 3 day transfer and a 5 day tranfer. My RE suggested a 3 day transfer because I didn't have an issue with the possibility of twins. However, it seems like everything I'm reading online highlights the benefits of a 5 days transfer over a 3 day. What do you ladies think?

So I had more bleeding this morning, and I broke down and POAS. I saw a very faint second line!!!! Like I said, it was very faint, but it was there! I am trying not to get my hopes up too much, as I would like the bleeding to subside, and I also need to get my Beta done still. Also, is there any chance, that it could be a false positive from HCG still left in my system from the trigger shot? I will POAS again tomorrow, just to see if the second line is still there, and if it gets darker, which I'm really hoping that it does.

Alisa: Good luck tomorrow, and let us know how Beta #3 goes!

Kristy: I'm glad things went well in your ultrasound :D And now that you have your dates to start the process, you can start to look forward to that (although I know that the waiting is hard). In terms of a 3 day vs. a 5 day transfer, from what I've heard it is very dependent on the clinic. My clinic likes to try and get you to a 5 day transfer, because they feel that they can watch the embryos grow longer, and therefore pick out the best ones on day 5, and wean out some of the weaker ones. However, I just spoke to someone who goes to a very reputable clinic, and they will not do a transfer past day 3. They think that the embryos do better one's they're inside of you, rather than staying in the petri dish. I wouldn't worry too much about it, as there are good success rates for both, and whatever you're RE recommends will work great for you!
