Dolly,

I'm a little behind on reading posts. I just saw you'll be coming to FL in Nov. Which part of FL?
As far as your bad news, I'm really sorry. I'm glad that you are dealing with it so well and are already planning on another go.

Hi Staci, we are flying from NY Miami and the plan is to stay there for a couple of days then hire a car and either head off to the Keys or Naples/Fort Myers area for 6 days. Where are you in Florida? Any ideas for where we can go would be an excellent help.

How are things over there - are you going to be affected by the next hurricane that is heading your way?

Unfortunately I am becoming an expert at dealing with bad news!! I'm still hoping one day my luck will change! :(

Dolly,

I'm sad to hear that it is really a -ve. You have such a great attitude. Surely your next cycle will work out differently. It is a great thing that you are relatively young and seem to get pregnant easily. I'll be looking for you on your next cycle. Enjoy your vacation, too! The hurricanes should be all finished by then.

Hi Dolly

So sorry to read your post.

Glad to see you have a fab holiday sorted in between treatments, think of all that shopping. Also glad to see you still have hope, maybe we will be buddies again in December.

Thanks for all your support through our difficult time.

Dolly,

I live about 30 miles east of Orlando. If you were in this area I could recommend lots of things to do (the theme parks alone would use up your whole trip) but I'm not very familiar with Miami. I've only been there once with my DH when he was traveling for work and never got to go outside the hotel!

Naples is a beautiful place. If you haven't already made hotel reservations, you might want to look into the Ritz Carlton in Naples for at least a night. They have rooms which overlook the Gulf of Mexico and an excellent spa. http://www.ritzcarlton.com/resorts/naples/

Another very nice hotel (which is less pricey than the Ritz) is the Bellasera Resort. http://www.bellaseranaples.com/
You don't have the view and as many on site amenities as at the Ritz but the rooms are very high quality, the hotel itself is quite nice and the best thing is it's within easy walking distance of a whole bunch of shops/restaurants. We like to stay there whenever my DH is working in that area (it would be pushing it for him to try to expense the Ritz).

We're hoping this next hurricane will not hit here but it's too early for them to tell. It's not looking good for the coastal areas of FL right now but I'm hoping that, at the very least, this one won't make it to central Florida. I'd rather it goes somewhere else entirely....not that I'd wish this thing on anyone but we've really had our share here already!

So sorry you got a negative result. You sound very positive although I know you are hurting like mad. I hope you manage a bit of "normal" life before you go again.
Take care

Hi Staci, thanks for much for that it is a great help. We are hoping to get it all booked this weekend. They both look like great places.

Hope the hurricane stays well away from you.

Thanks again

Hi there girls,

Dolly I'm so sorry to hear your news. You seem to be handling it OK, but I've always found it has a way of coming out somehow, so look after yourself.

Thank you all so much for all of your thoughts. I went down for the blood test this morning, so now I have the agony of 5 or so hours to wait. I haven't done an HPT yet - can you believe???? I should get some kind of medal. Well, partly it was being lazy (I would have bought one last night if it wasn't so cold out!), but partly because I don't think I can bear to see another lonely, single line. It's killing me, but I'm just going to wait.

Of course, you will be first to know, either way.

Again, thankyou all so much for your thoughts. You are all such special people. I don't know what I would have done without you.

Jaye.

I cannot belive I'm writing this, but I got a BFP!!!!!! I really really never thought this would happen to me! It is still sinking in - after waiting some of the longest HOURS of my life, they rang to say my betas were 72, and progesterone 440 (apparently that's good). I'm in shock. My boobs have been a bit bigger than usual (usually they go shrink before AF, not grow), and I've had VERY faint AF-like cramping for the last few days - again that's unusual, usually it just comes and that's it. Still, I couldn't bring myself to even think it - I've thought I've been pg so many times and it's never been anything. I've been taking low dose aspirin for 2 weeks. I don't reckon that can have hurt.

I have so many hurdles to get through now, but at least I'm over this one.

Thankyou all so much.

Jaye.

Congratulations, Jaye! I know we sort of crossed over cycles but it's always wonderful to hear good news from others who have been through this horrible experience! You enjoy it, as if you have to be told!
