Oh ladies, question (nothing to do with eggs and follies im afraid)

Any ideas on what to get DH for our 1st Anniversary next Thursday!
I know 1st anniversarys are paper - so i was thinking a book - but that sounds sooo boring.
Ive bought him the CD (Single) of the Ordinary Boys (No- he's not a fan lol) but i like the single and i like the Words to it (Preston wrote it for Chantelle lol) its called 'I love You'

(Its so good to know you, that i just dont know how to show you - I Love youuuuuuuuuuuu - You know that dont youuuuuuuu) - sorry, i got carried away there and started singing it (its friday lol)

So any ideas would be MUCH appreciatted lol

hhmmmm, difficult...just asked my dh what you could buy your dh for your anniversary and he said how about a calendar for the next 20 years with your anniversary marked in it every year so he doesnt forget?? whats he like, eh??

not sure, i always go for the easy option, which is the aftershave....so i'm as boring as you!!

Becky - it depends how mushy you want to get - You could write a poem (obviously on paper!) If you go on the net you can buy copies of newspapers from the day you got married. My DH cut up lots and lots of different sized hearts from different colured paper and sprinkled them all over the bed

I like that song too!

My DH doesnt wear aftershave - (He smells LOL) I bought him 2 bottles in the 7 years ive known him lol - but i like the calender option LOL - its paper isnt it hehe!

Shame they dont sell calenders 20 years in advance - mind u, i wouldnt let him forget

Your DH is lovely thats so sweet. I looked on internet and found a lovely anniversary book with a poem about marriage, and a page for a picture of our wedding in a frame, and then it has a page to write a memory of every anniversay from 1st up to year 15 - then it goes on to 20th/25th/30th and so on. I thought this was lovely, but it takes up to 14 days delivery

I need it by Thursday ....

Im glad someone else likes that song too - i tht i was the only one, my kids hate it hehe

Hey lady's

Becky we got each other a watch for our first anniversary kinda signify how time fly's when your in love it's something we wear every day and even 4 years later still think of him when i put it on...oh and we got a nice bottle of wine made the year we got married it's in storage we plan to open it on one of our future anniversary's not sure which one yet..

although we dont go for traditional stuff, the morning of our first ann sam wrote post it notes with really sweet messages on and put them all over the house places he knew i would go ...like one in the medicin cabinet one on the coffee even one in my makeup draw ...he was at work and it was just so sweet..

im sure it will be really special

Trust me my DH will NOT do anything like yours or Charlies lol. I know him he wont lol when i told him i was going shopping to get his anniversary prezzie tomorrow morning, he kinda went 'oh' and i said - wot u mean 'oh' and he said - 'well that means i have to go shopping for something for you' lol
He isnt the romantic type - never has been.
It took me 6 years to get him down the aisle, and then even the proposal wasnt romantic - altho he did make it up on honeymoon. He can be romantic when it suits him. For valentines day (our first as man and wife) he bought me a card and we went for a meal to the place where we held our wedding reception (Only cos I BOOKED IT) LOL

Im not holding out for anything special from him - just being married to him makes me happy

And Aunty: The watches and the meaning of them is so special to you, and that is lovely. Its nice that u think of him every time u wear it

Ladies, so sorry I couldn't post yesterday but home PC was down after the scan!

Ok, we definately have one beanie in there, in the right place, measuring 12 mm, with a heartbeat. It was so good to see and I am so relieved I can't tell you! And, she thinks she saw a second sac, but not sure, so she wants us back in 2 weeks to double check for twins! Yikes!

So, there you have it. We were so nervous but so relieved now. Its real!

Just a question... I'm still spotting, and quite a lot sometimes. Doc said it was normal, but now it's really annoying. Given that AF started on Feb 17th, it's draaaaagging. Have you guys spotted for a while after your BFN AF?

Dh comes back toniiiiiiiiight! I'll sing in the shower agaaaaain!

Shantala: Congrats on the EC date! WHOOHOO! If they gave you the okay for the trigger, it's because they're satisfied with your egg count and size. I wouldn't worry; they've seen hundreds of women in your situation before.

Welshbugger: I don't know if you'll have time for this... but a friend of mine had a couple of beers (for courage) with one of her friends who took digital pics of her wearing sexy outfits, with seasonal themes. And then she printed the pics and made a calendar for her bf's b-day. I wanted to do the same for my husband on our wedding night, but I think I'll definitely keep the idea for our first anniversary. Mind you, the pics don't have to be pornographic, just sexy (my friend wore a catwoman costume for October and a sexy secretary outfit for September, for example)

That being said, you could give him just a framed pic of you to put in his office. Or tickets to a show, it's still paper. Or if you feel a little kinky you could duplicate the "sexy dices" game and fill one little jar with pieces of paper with actions written on it (kiss, caress, massage, lick, and so on) and body parts (lips, neck... you figured it out) and have him pick one of each and have fun.

...or you could sit down and pay the bills together... still paper big time but less sexy.
