Nicola Mark,
when I joined this site I had no idea that we would be sharing our external plumbing as well as our internal plumbing!
The same thing has happened to us - we have a leak from the shower upstairs into our lounge but as it can't be found our builder is going to have to make hole in the lounge ceiling! - Our insurance company have said they will cover the redecorating cost but not the exploratory cost - maybe you could ask yours if they will do the same?
So right now I have 4 guys, (4! I ask you), installing a new boiler, waiting for the builder to fix the roof, as I work from home, "what else have I got to do?" and I'm sitting here with my hot water bottle on my tummy, trying to whisper my postive messges, "my womb lining is growing thick etc etc" and hide the fact that I'm boiling a bunny for lunch (joke)- not sure whether I'm downregging, stimming or boiling.
Perfect timing for my DH to ask, erm do you fancy a bit of..... yeah right!
MarciaL- I'm glad you've seen the room at Zita West, I haven't seen it yet it yet but for the prices they charge, trust me it should be papered with spun gold! Sorry having a bit of a cynical day today.
Top tip from my acupuncturist this week was that the progesterone, pessaries or tablets will make you constipated, - so don't panic - but if you add linseed to your food will help things along naturally. There's my positive bit for the day!

hey ladies

thanks for the well wishes (Marcia, anna, nimble, nicky and everyone else)...just got back. they did a blood test and i get the results at 3pm tomorrow (i have to call them). they also taught me how to use the injection pen and got me to practise on a fake skin pad which seemed fine. so i'm gonna try and master it myself on thursday. if i have downregged ok i can start stimms thursday and have a follie check scan on the 2nd march.

Hello ladies!!

I'm on day 4 of my Lupron and so far, so good. I've had no side effects whatsoever other than I get pretty sleep after I take it. But I do it right before bed so that's no problem. And DH is a certified pro!! I don't even feel the needle. I don't think I could do it without him considering when he does it I can't even watch. It would be a scary think to be giving myself shots with my eyes closed!!

Katrina- Welcome!! I will be having my ER and ET the same week as you!!! So we can go through our 2ww together. Is this your first FET? I hope it is a success!!

Shantala- Starting Stimms soon, how exciting!! That's great that your clinic let you practice like that. It probably put your mind at ease a bit to know how easy it really is before you have to do your first real injection. So what is your tentative ER/ET date? I start Stimms next week so we won't be too far apart from each other. Let's hope we both have first timers luck!

B Jones- I can't believe that you and Nicki are going through the same thing!! What a mess, I'm sorry. Sounds like your DH isn't letting it dampen his spirits any!!

Marcia- Things are going great so far…thanks for asking! Don't start Stimms until next week (assuming my u/s and b/w is ok) But I'm doing the Lupron right now and it's a breeze. I'm beginning to feel a bit PMSy but AF should be arriving this weekend so I'm assuming that's a good thing!! I hope I'm on track and responding the way I should be. It's all so new and nerve wracking but exciting at the same time!! How are you? What's Buserelin? Is that for downregging?

Anna- Yes I really enjoyed acu. I already have an appointment scheduled once a week until the week of the transfer and then that day my acupuncturist will come to the clinic for a session before and after ET. I really do think it will help me relax during all of the emotional craziness I'm sure to be feeling the next few weeks! So one day until Lupron!! You and I are very close on our schedules. Exciting!!

Jill- Glad to hear your sono was well and that your trial transfer went off without a hitch! And that is such great news you were able to get your meds paid for before the change in insurance. This is all so expensive that every little bit helps right??

BWHD- So sorry to hear about your polyps but it sounds like you should still be able to cycle in March which is encouraging. Keep us posted!

Nimble- Now that I think of it my Dh isn't the best at DIY work either…hmmm, maybe should have considered that before I let him start poking me with needles!!!

Sha- I totally understand your emotions being all over the map with a new baby being born. My sil is due in a month and I'm excited but also dreading it. We will have just gotten the results of our first IVF about 2 weeks before her due date so I really hope we get a BFP!! Otherwise it will be that much harder to go visit and be with the baby. We all know exactly how you feel!!!

Nicki- I've been doing my injections in my tummy and can't feel a thing. I just pinch a little skin and stick the needle in. It helps to ice beforehand also. How is your house??? I hope that your insurance has come to their senses!!

Nerms- How is the sniffing going?

Baby dust and hugs to everybody else!!! I'm off to lunch!

Love-
Steph

hi pep - yes, it did put my mind at ease a bit actually. glad that yours are going well. my tentative EC date is in the week commencing the 5th march. if i respond well it should be the mon or tue of that week, if not then more towards the end of that week. when exactly do you start stimms and how long do you stimm for? it would be great to be at similar stages!!

love your smarty-socks

Queen Smarty Socks- (aka Shantala) I added the "Queen" because I'm making an executive decision that we all deserve to be queens every once in a while!!

I am scheduled to start Stimms next Friday, March 2nd and I will stim for about 10 days with EC beign on the 12th of March. So I should be about a week behind you! At least we can share part of our 2ww together!! You'll just be getting your BFP a tad bit sooner than me! :D

Hi Ladies!

Wow, there's a lot of action gong on here! So many of you are well on your way.

I'll write personals later, for now just what's going with me:
I've had a really stressful couple of days, got some bleeding on Sunday and of course freaked out. I know some women get it and all turns out well, but I've experienced the contrary, so couldn't escape the feeling of "oh no, not again...". The bleeding stopped, though, and everything seemed OK today in my u/s, so there's no reason to give up hope. I saw a nice heartbeat (we didn't listen to it today as I was at my RE's office and not my OB's) and the size was good, even a day or so ahead. So hopefully all will go well, but I am really shaken up.

Oh, and got a new due date: OCT 8, so almost back to the original estimate.

Have a good week everyone!

As for me, I'm getting my meds via FEDEX tomorrow and start Lupron on Wednesday...it's finally here!

Hope everyone else has a good night!
Anna
Hello there :)

Forgot to say, that I'm not on BCP because I don't think they use that so much here in the UK unless you don't Ov regually. Not sure, being on BCP is just something I've seen on charts for women in the States more than anything. My cycles have been regular, so I'm just on 2 injections of Buserelin to Down regulate, and that's one 0.5iu in the morning same again at night. I'll be on that until they tell me to stop. So that could be up until I start stimming, or while I'm stimming.

Hiya

There just happened to be a chat show on yesterday morning, and it was my day off, they were talking about different topics, and then they said 'Zita West fertility Midwife experts on next to talk to us, and today's topic is IVF', so of course I didn't move an inch lol. She was answering emails and live calls from women going in for it, or thought they needed it, or wanted Acupuncture advice, and that's when they showed the picture of Womb room. She's the Fertility & Midwife expert to the celebs and owns a very swanky Clinic in London so not suprised she's expensive really.

Yes the Down Regging meds is called Buserelin so I'm going take 2 Imageone 0.5iu in the morning same again at night. I'll be on that until I'm not to. Glad your needles are going well, I just hope I can still do mine from my Auto injector and have it in my leg...can't bare to think of injecting my tummy  .

I'm on Met and I'll be taking it through my IVF.

I've seen quite a few women on Fertility friend that has taken it all the time including there IVF as well. I'm not taking it for the PCOS weight side of things, just to help make more mature eggs. Having PCOS we tend not to Ov with very mature eggs half the time if at all. It's one of the reasons we're high risk for m/c as you're getting caught with inificiant eggs unforunately.

I hope I can post this here, and not against any rules but here's a chart of a lady that was on met, and she had...
IVF/ Male Factor/PCOS/On Metformin/Implantation Dip/After Miscarriage/Early HPT+ (<12 dpo)/Negative HPT and before positive HPT/On Estrogen/On Progesterone/Age: 34/Months TTC: 20.

Image

This other lady had,

Assisted Reproduction/IVF/On Metformin/PCOS/Overweight/After Miscarriage/HCG Shot/Mid-cycle Spotting/On Progesterone/Age: 27/Months TTC: 25.
