LadyJ - I am also finding it hard to find my PMA. I only have 6 more days of BCP's, then I know I will have to wait for AF. Which who knows when she will come. I hope she is finally gone from last time. My body is just so screwed up. Then the dreaded baseline u/s and b/w. I have been through so many of those where they say, your E2 levels are too high yadda yadda yadda - you can't start stims yet. I know this can work for me. I made it to ER once. There is medical reason why it shouldn't work. I just feel like I will never POAS and see those wonderful 2 lines. Sorry to vent. Don't worry the BCP's will go by quick. I fell like I just started a new pack and I am now almost done. The hopefully AF will be nice and show you her ugly self real quick and then you will be on stims.

Hope eveyone else had a good weekend. I will try and do personals later. I have so much studying to do I really really need to get off the computer.

espinozal23 -- Good luck with the BETA!!! What a great anniversary present!!!

Lady J -- Sorry to hear about the lack of PMA. :( I pray this cycle is the one for you!! Baby dust coming your way. ********

As for me, I saw the RE today for U/S and B/W and they said that I have a bunch of follies growing on both ovaries and the largest are measuring about 10mm. They said it's hard to tell til the last minute, but I'll be going sometime next week for ER and ET!!

QUESTION....have any of you ended up with real bad headaches once you started follistim? I have had a headache for 3 days now and it's a killer. Any suggestions.

Thanks and I hope you all have a great day!

Well, DH had sperm analysis this morning and I just got the phone call, they did not find any sperm, so nothing to freeze. We kind of expected that, but were hoping they would have atleast found a few. Since we have one vial frozen from last TESE, I figured even if they got a little today, he wouldn;t have to go through it again. We have a consult with RE on thursday and my guess is that he will reccomend the TESE again. But we shall see.

I am kinda hoping maybe there is a way to do fresh TESE if needed? I mean we have one vial, but they won;t know if that is enough until they thaw on day of ER. Couldn't we have something set up where if it is not enough then DH could do TESE that day? How long do they have to perform the icsi on day of ER? Is it minutes, hours or even the whole day? Just curious if anyone knows these answers...i will be asking them all at consult on Thursday.

Well, perhaps it was not such a good idea to order my meds from overseas as I have spent another day trying to clear it out of customs.

I still do not have my shipment and I still do not have a confirmation that it will be here tomorrow....let me just say this is getting interesting!

I have explained to 3 different people today what my package contains and what it is for. "IVF? What is that?" First in Texas, go figure!, then in Canada. Each time stressing the importance of the medication and how I need it ASAP!

I will admit by the last phone call I was getting pretty snappy and said "look it, what do I have to do to get my meds? Stand on my head? Cause I wil do whatever it takes!"

Hubby was laughing at me, saying " good thing it only takes your visa card numbers and that you don't actually have to stand on your head, that could really take a while"......what a comedian

Well, now that they got my visa # hopefully things will actually start to flow a bit better in the true American way! Sigh!

The Lupron is giving me killer headaches.....can't wait to stop it!

Well ladies.I was just watching the news on that little boy that died at the monster truck show. My heart is saddened for their family. How horrible!!!

On a lighter note: I had my u/s and b/w today. RE says everything looks good. Tomorrow night will be my last BCP and I start GonalF and low HCG on Saturday. She showed me how to administer the meds. I hope I remember by Saturday!!! She said at the earliest, ER would be 2/2. I also had to pay in full for the program. We signed up for the guarntee program which costs $20k, but if I do not end up with a delivery after 4 tries then we get the $20k back. Is anyone else doing something similar? Man, that was a lot of money!!!! I hope it works!!

Lady_J & to_have_fun08: Sorry to hear your spirits are low. I know this is only my first IVF cycle so I will not even pretend that I know the disapointment you both are feeling. I do however wish you all the positive vibes............do you you feel them? This cycle will be your sucess!!!!!

espinozal23: I'm so excited for you......that is good news. Hang in there, you will get you BFP in no time!!!

JennLB25: Good news!! baby dust coming your way. How exciting!! I can't help you with headache symptom since I'm such a newbie. I hope you get releif soon.

Sisi1: Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I hope everything works out for you and you get your meds in time.

Rosario: I'm on the antagonist protocol as well : )

Need help ladies. Have a couple questions. Sisi1 replied but I also want a couple of ladies answers because I know that every clinic is different.

Here goes....

What is the average size follie that it takes to be able to trigger and do ER?

Just curious. I just started my first IVF and had my first U/S and B/W after 3 days of stims. I have a bunch of follies on left ovary and some on right ovary and the biggest he sees so far are about 10(?mm?). They couldn't seem to measure uterine lining. Do you think that's a problem?

RE did say when I first started the cycle that ER could possibly be around the 28th or so, depending on how my body responded to stims. But it seems I might be responding rather quickly. I started the Follistim on Friday and today is Monday (still haven't taken it yet today), so that's only 3 nights that I've taken it. Is that quick to have a bunch of follies and a couple of them measuring at about 10mm? They want me back in 2 days (on Wednesday) to check me again and then they'll tell me where to go from there. They told me to keep taking the same amount (225 units of Follistim and 5 units of Lupron).

What do you think, am I responding rather quickly?

I just don't know. My doc is a happy go lucky kind of guy and doesn't really give me much input and just says to do what they say and not worry. I know that the Cleveland Clinic is good and all but I'm just nervous, we only have one shot at this.

Thanks for any feedback and advice.

Hello Ladies... just dropping in to check on you ladies...

MANDEEKINS.... Good Luck tomorrow at your ER. Hope u get alot of mature follies. Keep us posted.

I still have some Lupron from last cycle... but only like 2 needles and I still haven't heard from the pharmacy. I guess if I don't get a call from them by Wednesday, I will be calling... hopefully they don't give me a hard time as they are to you Sisi. I just want to be able to have them in my possesion so that it can sink in.

To_have_fun.... I guess we are on the same PMA trip. I'm sorry u r feeling llike that as well... but at least we will go thru this together and hopefully get our BFPs together as well.

Hello all, just checking in as well. To the question about headaches.....I am not taking follitism but I am on the lupron/estradiol and I do have lots of headaches, also I have noticed that my face keeps getting rosy cheeks?

Mandeekings.....good luck tomorrow-keep us posted.

Well I have a question, has anyone had a crying episode? I cried on Sun night for about 10 min. over nothing and everything. My husband was worried that he had done something wrong cause I was hysterical. I felt better on Monday and slept like a baby afterward but this has never happened before.

Happy Tuesday, PMA, Baby dust to all

Hello Everyone

I got my period on Sunday afternoon and had no way of getting in touch with my nurse for a Monday appointment. I just showed up at 8am and luckily they had no problem with that.
In my ultrasound they found a cyst in my ovary. They said we all produce one every month, but mine was kind of bigger. So I had to wait for my bloodwork results to see what my estrogen level was. I was so nervous I would not be able to begin the cycle, but got a call at 2pm saying my estrogen level was at 31, and I am good to go.
I started 150 of gonal F last night, and an antibiotic called Doxycyclyne. My hubby has to take it too. Each of us twice a day. They say it is suppose to make his sperm real clean. So I guess I am officially stimming. I don't go back to the doctor until Friday, which is nice.

Have a great day Everyone.

Good morning everyone. I just thought I would pop in and give a quick update on me. I had my first b/w yesterday and the results were good so I am sticking to 175 units of folistim and 10 units of microdose ovudrel. I have b/w and an u/s Wed, Frid and Mon. Hopefully if all goes well, I will be triggering Wed for a ER on Fri the 30th. I can't wait.

We are also supposed to be doing our first walk through on my house today but it was in no condition to "walk" as of last night so we'll just have to see. I can't wait until I can just have my own place. Living with MIL is getting way too OLD!

My MIL is having a shower for my SIL 2 days after ER. I really dont want to go bc first off- i dont like my SIL and second- I dont want to be around baby stuff. I know its been over a month since my m/c but it still hurts. I almost feel like my SIL took my baby from me- stupid i know but I cant get past this horrible feeling. I told my MIL i would buy something for the baby for her to keep at her house as a granny present. Who knows, maybe I'll have a daughter out of this soon bc SIL has no clue what shes doing and no desire to learn.

Just a general post to all the ladies in here... DONT DO HPTS unless your RE tells you to. They dont tell you anything bc they dont give you levels. you could get a false positive, a false negative, pick up a chemical pregnancy... anything. They never help you feel better so its always best to just stick it out until your Beta.

espinozal23- dont think too much about your BFN on the HPT. If you implanted late or if you just have a crummy HPT it could be wrong. Heck, you could have peed on it the wrong way. Just wait until Thursday and you will know for sure.

sorry ladies... a little rant i guess but it really upsets me how worked up people get about their HPT results bc you never know for sure until the RE tells you.

I just want some kind of something to let me know that its going to be ok this time we have put so much time and money because insurance doesnt cover any of it that I just dont want it to fail again I just dont know if I could handle it this time sometimes I feel good about it and other times I dont ike the last cycle I had already started to bleed by this time but with this cycle I havnt and I try yo think positive about it but sometimes I just get so scared its only been 8 days since my et so should I be having any HCG in my system if they have implanted or is it just too early

The RE office just makes it sound like it will all be ok and everything is going to work out good because they see no problem with me getting pregnant since the only reason we are going IVf is because I dont have any tubes they just kill me with being so confident that its going to work when last time they were the same way and it failed sry to be such a bummer

Espinozal- Like I have said before, I did not get a super faint positive line until less than 24 hrs before my scheduled beta- i think I was a late implanter. That first positive I saw was 13 days past ER, my beta # was super low at beta, like a 46....but it all worked out b/c I have a beatiful four and a half month old to show for it.

I completely understand the emotional roller coaster that hpt's are, since they can be highly inaccurate, but I just can't help myself. Some people have the will power not to poas, but then there are people like me that want to do them just to do them. I plan to torture myself with them again, even though they can be inaccurate, mine was right. With how low my beta was. there is no way a test would have showed positive any earlier. So, I say do them, but understand the possibilities like waiting said. If it is too stressful for you, then wait til beta, you don;t need the extra stress right now.
