Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

Well things are moving very quickly indeed! I had my hCG last night & am having EC tomorrow

I went out for dinner last night with my family for my birthday. My injection was due at 9pm, so I had to go out to the car to do it. It was very funny. We had dinner in St Kilda - which is an area that has a lot of drug problem (or at least it used to - much better these days). So there we are (myself & DH), sitting in a doggy, dark, open air carpark with the light on, drawing up my injection - we expected the police to pull up beside us any second. At least it made the situation very funny!!!!

I am a little nervous about tomorrow, as I had so much pain last time. At least I know what to expect. Paula - don't let my experience scare you, as most women only experience minimal pain. I hope your scan goes really well.

Will post after EC & let you know how we went.

You go girls!!

It is all happening.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow Paula, I hope to hear that you have a bumper crop just waiting for harvest and your E2 levels have risen a bundle. Also glad that the injections are working out ok....you are lucky to have a teenage daughter that loves her mum!

MissMolly, I can just picture your whole HCG scenario, how funny. Glad to hear that you didn't get arrested (although would have made a great story to tell the grandkids). I hope you had a lovely dinner and a fantastic birthday. Good luck with EC tomorrow. I sincerely hope that it is a breeze and you don't experience anywhere near the pain you had last time...maybe the acupuncture will have helped out in this regard also. Keeping my fingers crossed for great results with both EC and fertilisation.

Hope everyone else is going great and.....it is only 3 more days until the weekend!

Cheers

Hiya!

MissMolly & Paula, good luck tomorrow ladies!!! you will both do real fine, I know it. Tons and tons of baby dust on your way!!! Ah, and Happy belated 30th to you MissMolly!!

Heather, glad you had a fantastic holiday up on the islands... I hope you didn't forget to drink one of those colourful drinks for me too  .

Bel, you made me crack up with little Annie's pulling incident - maybe you can ask her to help you with doing your bikini lines for coming summer - ha ha.

I am flying back to OZ this Sunday but I am still not sure when I will start my next treatment to be honest.... Very confused with what my heart wants to do - it is not telling me anything, there is no voice inside helping me... In my head I know I should go right back onto it but nothing from my heart for now :( .

Hugs, Tiger

Good morning ladies,

Just a quick note. I''m off to the hospital soon. Thank you all for your wishes, Bel, Heather, Tiger. Your all very sweet and I appreciate you all.

Missmolly, I'll be thinking of you this morning. I'm afraid for myself already, I'm the worlds biggest wimp when it comes to anything to do with pain. I'll have to make sure I tell the nurse that I want to be COMPLETELY PAIN FREE!!! I really hope your ec goes. Was thinking about your drama in the car doing your injections

WOMAN ON DRUG CHARGES ESCAPES POLICE

Late last night a woman and her suspected Drug leader was arrested in Melbourne on suspicion of drug trafficking. Two hours later the woman and her accompliss escaped Melbourne police and there is now a nationwide search out for the pair.

In the latest of a string of arrests in Australia. The woman, who can only be identified as Missmolly, was caught by plain clothes detectives being injected by her acompliss.

In her initial interview Missmolly claimed she didn't do it and the dr's made her do it!

It's obvious the woman was in a state of drug intoxication. A nation wide search has been put out on the pair and we will be releasing details soon on they're descriptions. Anyone with any tips are urged to call crime stoppers.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Talk to you soon

LOL Paula, you are a card! Well ladies, we are waiting for updates....Paula how did the scan and the bloodwork go....MissMolly did you have a pain free and productive EC?

Looking forward to your updates.

Tiger, I don't really have any advice for you. Only you can decide if you are ready. I must admit, I was very excited when I embarked on this journey and I was very enthusiastic during my first cycle. Each subsequent one has become more and more mundane and much harder to get excited about....that is why I have to keep having back to back treatments, I am afraid if I take my eye off the ball I will lose the momentum, something I can't afford to do at my age! Good luck with whatever you decide.

Cheers

Paula - LOL!!!!!! That is what it was like!!! You are so funny

EC went quite badly  No pain, but to compensate hardly any eggs  We only got 4 out of all of our follicles. I must have ovulated early, as some of them were really big. I am praying that at least one will fertilise. I am dreading making the phone call tomorrow to find out.

DH is being very good & looking after me well.

I will let you all know how I get on.

MissMolly you poor bugger, I can understand your disappointment given the number of follies. 4 is still a good number though. I will keep everything crossed that all 4 fertilise and divide like crazy. Glad to hear that DH is taking care of you and I hope you feel better than you did last time.

Take care and keep us posted.

Cheers

Missmolly, I'll be praying for you and your eggs tonight. I really hope all 4 fertilize for you. You can do it!!

Looks like i'm out of this Ladies. Bad news today for me. I went in for my scan and only had 6 follicles left. I had 9 5 days ago.

Four of them are under 10 "they didn't grow at all" 1 is a cyst and the other is 15x17. They took my blood today and i'm awaiting estrogen results tomorrow. The options left for me at this point are if my estrogen is high enough they'll try iui with my one follicle. If my estrogen is to low I'm cancelled. Then its a wait to see if my fsh is low enough next month to try again. With my background in fsh I'm not counting on it. I was also told today they will only give me one more go and then it's back to see another dr which probably means egg donor. I've been so ripped up all day, crying on and off. It's so emotional this whole rollercoaster. I really don't know how you all do it again and again and again. I've already decided that if it doesn't work nex time then that's its. You guys are all so brave!

Anyways, that's it for me. I'll let you know tomorrow night what my blood test said tomorrow.

Huggs to all

Hi all,

MissMolly, it really only does take one, I know you've probably heard that all before, but it's very true. There are loads of stories on these pages of women who are pregnant (or now with young children) who have only one or two eggs collected. They WILL fertilise. This is your mantra for today, they bloody well will..

Paula, I'm shattered for you. It's such a cruel thing. Please let us know how your bloods go, I have everything crossed for a successful IUI. :D

To all others hello. Tiger, hope that the flight goes well and welcome back to Australia for Sunday!

Take care all, two more sleeps until the weekend

Hi,

Very bad news for me & DH today. Failed fertilisation  We can't understand what went wrong - we had a 75% fertilisation rate last time. We are both upset and angry - for a little while this afternoon, we both thought that IVF is not worth the pain (we have since changed our minds). I know it most likely has nothing to do with it, but I am giving up on acupuncture - things have gone downhill so badly since the last cycle & the only thing I have done differently is acupuncture. Even if it has not hurt me, is sure as hell has not helped me at all!!! A big fat waste of time and money! Our follow up is in about three weeks - so hopefully they might be able to give us some reason why.

I am sorry to hear your news Paula, I can totally understand your pain.

I hope one day things start to look up for me & DH.
