my doctor just called me! tonight at 11 15 pm I do the trigger shot. he said I have come along very well esspecially because I was a poor responder to the chlomid test.

we are doing icsi. how many if u have or will do icsi? what was your successrate on ferilization? they had found some antibodies in dh's sperm. we are only going to put back two embryos since my uterus lining is thick. my estrogen went up to 3600. how are u all doing? are u ready for easter??
Hi Donna,

CONGRATS on your trigger...We're doing ICSI and my DH also have antibodies in his sperm. On my EC my doctor collected 14 eggs out of the 14 eggs 13 were matured and out of the 13 matured eggs 10 eggs fertilized. All 10 are still doing great and 5 of them are excellent quality embryos. Our ET is schedule tomorrow at 10:00 AM. So I'm really ready for Easter Sunday :D . Good luck on your EC.

gbnut wrote:Hi all hope everyone is ok. i will come back alste to catch up but feeling sore at the moment. well me back from EC and they have managed to get 21 eggs . Have to wait to see how many are mature and how many fertilise. We had a bit of a problem in theatre as he punctured on of my endometrioms that i had so i will bleed a lot but apart from that everything went well.

Question i cant remember what size needle do i use for gestone? I have that many different ones at home and i cant remember which one to use. I have to do gestone in the morning and pessary in the evening. On double cleaxane from tomorrow as well

Hope everyone is well.

Hi Susan - WOW 21 you lil follies maker :D . Sorry to hear about that bit of a problem, I'm glad everything went well...I keep my fingers crossed and hope that most of them fertilized...sending lots of sticky vibes to dh swimmers... For the progesterone I used the syringe 3ml 18G1 1/2 to extract the progesterone oil from the bottle, then we replaced the needle to 22G1 1/2 needle size... Good Luck...

Hi all,

Sorry no time for personal since dh is mad I am even sitting here and demanding me back to bed.

Anyhow, ET went great today, had 2 excellent embies go in and 6 are going to freeze. We are thrilled that we will have many more chances if this fails. I test April 17th so I am on the dreaded 2ww.

Anie - good luck tomorrow with your transfer. It is a piece of cak and was really easy. Just make sure you drink all the water they say to, they made me drink more since my bladder wasn't full enough!

Talk to you all soon- off to the couch or bed so dh can pamper me the next 2 days!
Jessica

Jesjes - congrats on having your babies back home! Hope they're snuggling in for the next 8 months!!!! and little snow babies too - that's great!!!!!

Marsxp - Image welcome to the group! I personally was not on BCP'S for my fresh cycle but I was put on them for my FET, I think it is so they can get your cycle to exactly where they want it, but I'm sure someone will tell you! I know there are definately ladies in this group that started on BCP's!

thanks charlie.... i thought you were male at first lol sorry

yeah the clinic said they gave it to me to supress ovulation for the month... they say hopefully by doing this, i will have more eggs to harvest for fertilization.....

what do you think should i expect from ivf? does it hurt when they harvest the eggs??? i read they will use local anesthesia....im kinda scared.... also, what should i expect in addition to the bloodwork and close scrutiny of the RE's?

thanks a lot

hello marsxp and welcome to our group - you've come to the right place! I'm on my second try and started off on BCP's on both. I think it's to get as suppressed as possible before you start and also so that they can take control of your cycle. Don't be scared about the process, it will become part of your routine - lots of scans (dignity goes out of the window a bit there but after the first it's really no big deal), lots of blood draws and lots of waiting. The waiting is the worst. The best advice I can give you is to get a good ice pack and ice for a few minutes before your injections, it helps so much. Good luck and keep in touch, lots of welcome baby dust from the group X

i wanted to ask you ladies a personal question - how are your boobs? as you know from all my moaning I'm on day 16 of stimming and in the last 24 hours mine are starting to really hurt (and get bigger), do you think this means I'm hyperstimulating? last time I only got these symptoms after the EC.

Hi Rebecca,
I did 8 days of stimms and today mine are killing me, they are more sensitive, and I am busting out of my bra! Maybe it is because our estogen goes really high!!???

Anie- Good Luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes!!! What a great Easter present!

Tonight is my HCG shot, I am going to use an ice cube on my belly.
I am getting nervous for monday!!!

Charlie- are you going to sneak and do a HPT sooner? :D :D :?:

Sending sticky vibes your way!!

just took HCG shot - No Bruising!

Post by doddo72 »

I took the HCG Shot a half hour ago. There is no bruising. In fact, I used ice to numb the area so it didn't hurt. It slightly burned but not long. I little drop of blood came out after. Does anyone NOT bruise from taking the HCG shot?

I asked the nurse what would happen if I did the shot wrong, and she said empty follicles!!

I am worried!!!
I thought it would be worse than it was!!

Thanks,

Donna

Donna~

I am sure you did it right. For me there was no bruise until the next day. Then major brusing and pain to the point that nothing could touch that area for 2 days. Keep icing it, that should help! Good Luck Monday!

Rebecca

I'm going through same feelings as you are right now too. Had my last scan on Saturday and was hoping for EC date to be confirmed but with no luck.

Had heaps more follies grow in numbers, but not in size! :( the nurses told me to try for another 2 days and I have another scan tomorrow.

A bit scared to be honest as tomorrow will be Day 15 and follies reach size 12/13 and start mulitplying rather than growing??? Dr advised that they cant increase my dose, scared to overstimulate.

I have been  a bit yesterday and took it easy today and rested in bed most of the time. Has anyone had a similar experience is it normal for follies to take a break?

Best of luck to all the ladies doing EC/ET tomorrow.

Good afternoon ladies! Happy Easter!

Donna - congrats on trigger shot - I'm sure you did it right! Mine didn't really hurt either - I was expecting it to hurt more too! I think I bruised the next day,but nothing major. Good luck with EC tomorrow - you will do great!!!! I'm not going to sneak an early test, I did that last time and wished I hadn't!

Anie - good luck with transfer today!

Susan - have you heard how your babies are doing???

Hopeful - I'm sorry things are moving slowly for you, I'm afraid I can't help, but just know that I am thinking about you and am sending you big hugs.

Jesjes - welcome to the 2ww!!!! Hope you are taking it easy LOL

Jovigal - hey honey - how are you doing? I hope your prolactin levels are coming down!

marsxp - like rebecca said - all dignity goes out of the window! Self injecting isn't as bad as you expect, once you get the first one out of the way, it really is ok. My DH did mine so that he was part of the process. You will have regular scans to track the growth of your follicles, and when you have enough mature ones they will tell you to do the trigger shot, which will make the eggs float free in the follicle ready for collection. The egg collection isn't as bad as I thought it would be either- I too was under sedative - and my DH said that I was talking throughout the process but I remember absolutely nothing of it. The last thing I remember was assuming the position having my cocktail of drugs, giggling like I was drunk and then the next thing I knew I was coming round in recovery! I'm sure you will do great!

Rebecca - hope you are ok? I can't help with the boob thing, but I think Donna may be right with the estrogen thing. When is your next scan? If you are still concerned then ask your clinic.

Hugs to all

Charlie x
