Wanna...so funny that we all have similar symptoms. I felt the muscle strain in my stomach as well in the morning when I stretch. Almost feels like a running cramp in the side. So let's address the boobs. OH BOY! I feel like I am carrying around 2 bowling balls. I also get up to go to the bathroom several times a night and if I had a wheelbarrow next to my bed, I'd place them in there to take to the bathroom. I can't imagine what's going to happen to them as the pregnancy goes on. If I roll over on my stomach in my sleep, the pain in my boobs wakes me up. (sorry if TMI everyone)

Caroline...I actually know that one of my embies put back is a boy because we had genetic testing. However, they also put a frosty back and I have no idea what gender that one is. Of course we are thrilled with either, but a boy would be a nice change, I've raised 4 stepdaughters! They would love a little brother too. But again, a healthy baby is what's most important and I will be thrilled with whatever it is or they are.

NaeNae...that beta is awesome! I'm doing both POI shots and suppositories. Lucky me! Have you tried icing the area before the shot and then a heating pad for about 15 minutes. I also get bumps and itchy, but I find those two little tricks do help.

Mom...thanks for the websites. I love to track the progress of my beanie. Can't wait to hear about your u/s. You're the first in this group. Please fill us in as soon as you can. I'm practically holding my breath til Saturday, I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Jenn...I hear you on wanting to really show instead of just looking bloated and feeling fat. I'm holding out on telling people, so my guess is they just think I'm getting fat! I trruly believe people are going to be in shock. Given my age and that I've raised 4 stepdaughters, the youngest is now 15, I'm sure people would've thought I was done. However, always wanted to have my own and share that experience with my husband. Can't wait to see reactions when I finally can spread the good news.

Back to work for me.

hugs,
Ange

I was so excited to read this thread. Just today I got a BFP!!! My transfer date was 2/27 and due date is 11/15. First beta was 157, go back Thursday to make sure it is between 300-600. My Dr. was very clear that the miscarriage rate is 20% and lets wait until we hear a heartbeat before we start dancing on the ceiling. Thanks for all the great support out there.

Hi everyone. Well I went for my 1st beta today and was told it was 259 on my answering machine and when I called the office, she told me it is 248 instead. After reading some of your beta's. Is my beta kind of high? I am 9dp5dt today (per RE today). I had only one embie put back. I would love to hear some of your betas and how many dpt you were. I go back Thursday for my second beta.

Hugs

Hi Tammy,

Congrats again on your BFP! My betas were as follows:
7dpt5dt - beta 16
10dpt5dt - beta 159
14dpt5dt - beta 614.

Always thought mine weren't too high, but Dr. said as long as they are doubling I shouldn't be concerned. Still won't breathe easy til I see that little bean or beanies on the screen on 3/17.

hugs,

HI Ladies!
Welcome daniellewngs!! Congratulations on your BFP!!

We put back two embies and my beta results are as follows.

8dpt5dt - beta 167
14dpt5dt- beta 3000

Hopefully will have another beta done tomorrow.

I don’t think the actually number means anything (anything higher than 5 is a positive). As long as they are doubling that’s all that matters. Your first beta sounds really good.

Good Luck to you. Please keep us posted.

Hey Wanna!!
We put back 2 grade A blastocysts. I am a little confused b/c everyone keeps talking about beta levels...is that the same thing as HCG levels? What does 8dpt5dt mean??? I am so new to this...I need to learn the lingo. I am not too worried about my levels...I go back Friday for another test. I am just excited. When is everyone's due dates??? In case I missed it.
We had our transfer on 2/27 and we are due 11/14!

HI There jen!!

let me see if I can help you out. I'm not that hip with the lingo but I'll try my best. If I am wrong, I hope someone will correct me. :-)

Yep, beta is the same as your HCG leve.

8dpt5dt means 8 days post transfer 5 day transfer. At least that's what it means to me. lol Ladies, please help me out if I am wrong.

Jen--Did you do a 2 or 3 day transfer. I forgot.

I am due November 9th. At least that's what the website told me.

How are you feeling? Did you tell anyone the great news yet? My DH has told practically the entire free world. lol

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm an idiot! jen--Clearly you typed blastocysts and clearly...I read it and still asked you about the day you transfered. Sorry, about that. I hear the mind is the first to go.

Thanks for the update...I have learned so much! I'm an not feeling too many symptoms yet...tired, bloated and a little crampy. I am just so excited...i don't think it has really sunk in yet! My sister moved out of my parents house this weekend and my husband and I gave her our guest room furniture in hopes that we would be replacing it with baby furniture soon! So needless to say, that was good timing!

here are some other werid symptoms that I am having...my boobs feel like a ton of bricks. I am already wearing a sports bra. Secondly, I am never hungry...it is like a have an aversion to ALL FOOD. I heard that sometimes you can have an aversion to food...but I don't ever feel hungry! I literally have to force myself to eat every meal since Monday! Is that crazy or what???

Wow you ladies have been busy since I have been gone!!!!!!
It is great to see all the newbies, especially those with the Nov 14th due date that is my Bday!! :D You girls are gonna have some great babies on that day    LOL

Anyway, I had my U/S yesterday and everything is PERFECT!!! 1 little baby heartbeat at 118bpm which is right on track and measuring 1 day bigger than suppose too I told you it was gonna be a "FAT TUFFY" lol!!
Ok for those of you who are a little sensitive you might want to to get your tissues for this one.
Out of all 3 pregnancies I have had ... Yesterday I finally got to hear the heartbeat of 1 of them. I just cried and cried, I never made it far enough to hear the heartbeat of my other two babies. I was the mose wonderful sound I have ever heard!!!!
Also, some of you know that we have been having financial issues, well yesterday, my Dr told me he was going to give me my next $280 sono for free around the 27th. See he was gonna release me to OB yesterday, because I can't afford to give another $280 for the sono, also he is leaving this clinic at the end of the summer and he gave me his personal email address for me to send him pictures of the baby.
whew ok I gotta go back to work girls but I will talk to you all later keep up the PMA's and now we know that all our symptoms and nonsymptoms are normal!!!! Cause I am doing all the same things as you are!!!
Oh yeah about the boy girl thing look up "chinese birth chart" on the web and then look for you age and then what month of retrieval, should all be feb as of now and it will tell you what you are going to have, eveyone that I know that is either preg or has kids it has been right!!!!!
Mine says GIRL!! check it out it is really neat!!!
Have a great one ladies!! :D :D

MOMINWAITING-That is so exciting!!!!!! I am so happy for you. It must have been such a relief to hear the hearbeat. I just can't wait for that day. It seems like it will never get here. Still one week left.

JEN779- I am also having that same aversion to food. All food. I thought it was really weird, so I haven't told anyone that. I have to force feed myself. (Everything except red licorice.) For some reason I have been craving red licorice, but that seems to be about all I can eat without forcing myself.

ANGE-I have tried everything on the POI shots. It doesn't really hurt when DH gives them to me. I don't even get bumps or itchy. It's just that the next day I feel like my butt got hit by a car. I can barely walk, and stairs, you got to be kidding. Are the suppositories better, or do they just have a different kind of downside?

WANNA-As far as the rubber band extender goes, I just pull it through the button hole in my pants, then through itself. Then you can hook it over the button. It seems to work really good if the pants are cut to sit lower on your hips. You just need to make sure you have a long enough shirt to cover it up. I'm not sure how I feel about twins. Some days I think it might be fun and exciting, but other days, I realize that when the fun and novality of it wears off, I'm not so sure I could handle it. The really scary part is that my DH and RE talked me into transfering 3 because they were such a low grade. I really feel that there is only one, but 2 or 3 is definitely possible. Guess I'll know for sure in a week.

NaeNae...I am so glad to know someone else is feeling this way! I thought I was crazy. I use to love to snack in the evenings and now....nothing.
