Hi Everyone!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I start my lupron injections today and you guys have definitely helped ease a few of my worries about sticking myself.
Elvisbaby – I totally understand those back and forth feelings (excited one minute, then lingering toward negative the next). When I feel that happening, I try to make a conscious effort to keep my feelings positive (of course, while still being realistic). It’s hard and I’m sure it’ll get harder once my body is taken over by all the medications…man, this is why I’m sooooooooooo glad we’re all going through this together
Sher8 – yes, we have lots in common

. Looking at your info, I take it you were 35 when you conceived your DD? How many embies did they put back in at that time? I’ve read somewhere that if you’ve had a previous IVF pregnancy and delivery, your chances of success are high for subsequent procedures. Are you going back to the same clinic this time?
Brandi – are your mood swings from the lupron? DH and I are doing ICSI but not assisted hatching. From what I understand, ICSI only raises the chances of successful fertilization but doesn’t really change the success chances for implantation and ongoing pregnancy. Looks like you have to take a lot of time off work. Does your dr. say why he encourages Strict bed rest for 5 days?
Kerribell – you really put that self injection into perspective by remembering that 12 year old. Thanks for sharing – I’ll definitely think of that tonight when it’s time for me to inject
Rockrat71 – I share your happiness. Let’s ROCK this cycle and all come out with BFPs next month…oh, and those hot flashes are probably NOT just in your head

, lol
Cwrj00 – welcome

. In IVF Lupron is used to suppress the pituitary gland to prevent ovulation.
Mybaby – I wanna be just like you on my 4th day of lupron, lol…seriously, I’m so happy that you aren’t having any negative side effects from the medication. I hope it continues that way for you. Oh, and thank you so much for updating the cycle list for our group

.
Can anyone tell me if you feel anything IMMEDIATELY following your lupron injections? My nurse told me to do it at 6pm every night. I teach a kickboxing class at 6:30 on Monday and Wednesday nights and I’m wondering if I give myself the shot at 6, will I feel weird or anything during class? I guess I just have to take it and see, lol. I’m going to work them hard tonight since I won’t be able to teach in a couple of weeks when my ovaries become so swollen and engorged from all the developing eggs
I have my saline ultrasound and mock transfer this Thursday, then my baseline bloodwork is next Tuesday….oh boy, this is SOOOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!
