I am doing good but having some contractions now. While I was at my OB appt Wed. hey saw my cervix was funneling but it was just because of the contraction. They checked my cervix and it is closed and long so thank God it is not dilating! Told me to take it easy as much as I can. I do have a shower coming up tomorrow and he said I can go but to stay off my feet after that.
Babies are doing great, growing like weeds, only baby C is still under 1 lb but he is close at 15 ounces. I go back weekly now to check my cervix.
Hope everyone is doing well!!
I am just hanging there, hoping to get to each new week!
Bye,
Allison
Well ladies, I am back from my US and it looks as though we have 2 healthy nuggets with strong HBs! I am so excited!!!!!
However, there is a strange sadness too which I didn't expect. As you guys know. we transferred 3 perfect blasts (hoping to get twins, but prepped for triplets). My beta on 9dp5dt was 745.6 -- I thought for certain this was indicative of triplets. BUT, it looks like one didn't survive. This makes me sad for the little one that didn't make it. You ask yourself "how is it that a perfect blast didn't make it?" Logically, I know that 1/2 of the eggs we produce are chromosomally abnormal (learned this from the last failed IVF). However, I guess I assumed that if they got to Blast stage, the abnormal ones would be weeded out.
I know that I will have a healthier pregnancy with twins and frankly, my DH and I feel that 3 at one time would have been pushing things. But I can't help feeling a little sad for the 3rd (I didn't expect this to be the case).
I feel so blessed with these 2 little ones on the way, am SOOOOO glad we saw 2 strong HBs. Moreover, with the 745.6 beta, my RE says this is indicative of a very strong pregnancy so all looks well. Now I just have to get over all the other hoops we girls have to jump over before taking a deep breath (3 month mark, amnio, getting to 32 plus weeks, etc.). It never stops does it? How is everyone else doing?
BabyB,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss but you know it all happens for a reason. I'll keep praying you carry these 2 babies successfully and as close to term as you can get!
And no the worries don't stop! It seems every week there are more changes and questions!
It will all be worth it though when we see our babies!!
Take care of yourself and those little miracles!
Allison
Its been awhile since I've been on...SORRY. Things have been a little hectic to say the least! I read through the posts and I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well for the most part! I'm thinking about all of you and you're all in my prayers!
I can't beleive we're already at 20 weeks!!!! Did I tell everyone we're having ALL BOYS!!
Hope you're having a great day!
Jessica

Hey Jessica!!
Congrats on the all boys!! That should be fun!! HAHA
You just know they are going to be the best of friends...and beating each other up too!
I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow - feels like such a good milestone. I think this is the earliest that a baby can survive outside the womb, not that I want them to come this early! But it makes me feel better.
I am going to the Dr. every week now, rotating with my regular OB and then the perinatologist. My girl, Annalise is 1 lb 12 oz, Isaac is 1 lb 9 oz and Elijah is 1 lb 8 oz. She has always been bigger, I think that is so funny.
OB has me pretty much on bed rest, but is letting me go to my baby showers and other necessary things. But for the most part I am glued to the couch for another 10 weeks probably! My cervix continues to be long and closed so that is good!
Everyone have a great weekend and take of those babies!!
Allison
Allison~ Your web page is just so sweet! I have to go to it rather often and check on your progress. I also have an Annelise. I LOVE that name. What will your little girls middle name be? Our Anna Banana is really named after my Grandmothers's Anna and lois but Annlouise was too much to try say and her middle name is Lucia after our dog Lucy. They were actually born on Lucy's b-day.
Keep up the progress mommies! It's not easy to be on bedrest and such but we are all here to cheer you guys on! You mothers of triplets are a great treat to keep our eyes on. There are so many of us that could have been in your shoes. I wish you all the very best!
Take care and hug those babies!

Hey Kimberly!!
Congrats on the twins! I am sure you have your hands full now!
Yeah we love that name too...I actually had several girl names picked out and then when I was at work I talked to a lady on the phone whose name was Annalise and I told her that was such a pretty name and asked her how she spelled it! So I went home and told my hubby and he liked it too. So it stuck! We are naming her Annalise Marie. She will have my same initials which is cool too. She has been flipping around so much lately. Everytime I go to the Dr she is in a different position. Last report she is breach and she lays so low, right on top of my bladder...it is great!! HAHA
Her brothers are going to be named Isaac Mason and Elijah Jaxon. I can't wait to meet them!
Thanks for visiting my website - my hubby does a good job. I saw your baby pics on Photobucket, they are too cute!!
Everyone have a great week!!
Allison
I am glad to hear you are doing so well! I'm on bedrest too...lots of fun, huh. I actually just got put here last Friday. I've been watching a lot of TV and have read about 20 Real Simple magazines.
I'm glad to hear about your cervix! Funny what we get excited about! What is it measuring at?
Jessica

Bed rest buddy!!
My cervix last week measured 4.14 I think. It does change every week but he said as long as it doesn't go below 3.5 I am good.
But there is no funneling which he also checks for.
Are you going to the Dr. every week or every 2 weeks??
I go Thursday - can't wait to see them again!
I just got news that we are having triplets. Doc did us on 10-24-07 and it showed 3 with a heartbeat. We are excited and scared. Congrats to all who also are having 3. Thanks also for doing this post, it helps. Take care.

Triplets!!!
Did you transfer 3 embryos or did one split? We knew triplets were a possibility since we decided to transfer 3 this time around but NEVER expected all 3 to work since 3 times before we transferred 2 and none ever worked. But it is fun and exciting!
I was scared pretty much the whole 1st trimester, worrying about everything the doctors tell you and warn you about. But then you find your strength and you realize you were meant to carry 3 and it will all work out!
Hope you get to skip all the morning sickness!! Be prepared to be VERY fatigued though..your body is going to go thru so much so fast.
Thanks so much Allison!!!
Yes, we actually transferred 4 embryos, but looks like so far only the 3 took. I am so thrilled and feel blessed. I'm like you, I kind of expected it to not work because I was so used to hearing negatives all the time. I almost gave up. I was so worried about my age and health issues, I almost said no to ivf. I'm so glad I stuck to it.
I'm in the early stages, so far I am feeling so tired and the breast area is very sensitive if you know what I mean. I hope everything goes well and I just want to stay positive.
Good luck to you too and keep in touch!!!

Triplets!!!
Sorry it's been so long since i posted but i'm happy to say that my triplets were born on october 1st at 33 weeks !!!!
They stayed in the NICU for 2-3 weeks but only because they needed to learn how to drink from a bottle and gain a little weight.
We've had all 3 home now for 1 week. Things are crazy but we are just so happy to have them all home. It was really hard having to go home without them, and then they came home one at a time so we had some at home and some in the NICU which made visiting difficult.
Kimberly - congrats on your twins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Allison - how many weeks are you now ?? I got hospitalized on september 12th when i was 30 weeks because one of my boys was diagnosed with IUGR. basically, his placenta wasn't working as well as it should so he wasn't nearly as big as his siblings. When i first went into the hospital they told me i would deliver within 48 hours but we all held on for 3 weeks !!!
Dolce - any tips on feeding schedules during the night? Right now they are eating every 3 hours and at night that means midnight, 3 am and 6 am feedings. Were your triplets eating every 3 hours in the begining also?
My daughter's name is Dayna (born at 4 pounds, 9 ounces) and her brothers are Joseph(3 pounds, 3 ounces) and Justin (4 pounds 4 ounces). It's funny because we were going to name her Anna after our grandmother's but we didn't think it rhimed well with our last name.
Have any of you heard about women who have trouble with their incision healing after a c-section? Mine didn't close all the way, and they said it was common for this to happen with multiple pregnancies. So for the last 3 weeks i've had to have a visiting nurse come to my house twice a day to pack the wound with gauze. It is very painful and it is the last thing i need to deal with when i have triplets to take care of. My doctor thinks it should be closed and healed within one more week. On the plus side, i lost all of my pregnancy weight within 2 and a half weeks after i delivered and i now weigh 3 pounds less than i did before i got pregnant !!
Janine~
Congrats on your babies!!!! I'm so proud of you for making it to 33 weeks and your birth weights were great! I bet you are so happy! In the beginning my twins ate every 3-4 hours but now they are eating almost every 2! It's hard to say why or what for but I just keep trying to stretch their feeding back out. Sometimes they go 5 hours at night and other times we struggle to make it the whole 2. Go figure!
We names our daughter Annelise after my grandmothers Anna and lois but we call her Anna a lot of the time. Small world. I love Dayna also. I'm sure it fits her well. Photos?? Come on! We are dying to see them!
Sorry to hear about your scar not healing up but Kudos for the weight! My scar healed fine and I was back in my clothes on day 8 but dh says I better be careful that I don't comtinue to eat this much or I'll get as big as a house! YIKES! Watch, I only gain 28 lbs. while pg but gain 2x's as much nursing!
Congrats to you and I hope you are healed up well soon! Take care and kiss those beautiful babies for me!
