Hi I am new to this forum and am doing a FET cycle this month and I have a question about estrogen level. I am currently using estrogen patches and taking one 2 mg estradiol pills each night. I had blood work today and my RE told me that my level was still low. She told me to take one pill orally and also take another and insert it vaginally. Has anyone ever had to do this???
I didn't realize that caffeine could affect estrogen. I have been having one or two diet cokes a day. Could this make my level low?

Thank you all for your support. they have thawed out 4 embies and they all have survived the thaw, so now we just have to wait and see how they are going to develop till saturday, i am really nervous that they won't make it.
Riley, my doctor actually inserted one pill vaginally for me because my lining was not thick enough and it worked, it was 7mm on Tuesday and after the pill it was up to 10mm on Wednesday,so it really works because it will spread the estogen directly to the right area, good luck with that.
And good luck to all of you guys!!!

Vlada great news on your embies surviving the thaw - I think that is the hardest part! I hope they continue to develop for you! How many would you like to transfer? Best of luck tomorrow!!!

Riley, I am supposed to take all my estrogen pill vaginally. I took them orally while I AF was here but as soon as she was gone I was to take them vaginally. With the pills being so small I wondered how I would be able to do it but it is fine - other than the blue discharge!!! It is supposed to be more effective vaginally because it goes right to the source and isn't diluted in your body.

I didn't realize that caffeine impacted estrogen levels either. I guess I should stop my diet coke consumption!

Hope everything is going well with everyone else. I am anxiously awaiting Tuesday when I go in for my ultrasound to check my lining...

Heyguys,
I got a call from embryologist today and she said that all four embies have divided but they all have fragmentation. One is 2 cell ( i think this one won't make it till tomorrow), one 4 cell and two 6 cells( i am getting paranoyed that these ones are dividing too quickly, which can be a problem too), sooo tomorrow is my trasfer at 10 am, and they will let me know before the trasfer if the embies have survived and doubled in their division process, i am super nervous, but trying to keep calm.
Thank you so much for your support!!
Vlada :D
PS I don't know yet how many we are going to put in, but asssuming 2 or 3, if they will survive.

Hi Vlada,

I think it is great that they are all dividing. I've heard countless stories that embryos of different cell counts and fragmentation levels have worked so don't let that worry you. Were your embies frozen on day 1 and now they are taking them to day 3?

Best of luck tomorrow!

Kelly,
They froze them right after fertilization, so now embies have to make it to day 3, which is tomorrow. My doc said that it is better to freeze them right away, but every clinic is different, i think it is more nerve wraking than if they were blasts, because now i have to worry about their division and survival. I am also getting anastisia tomorrow, because i am not very good with trasfers, so my doc just wants me to relax and also that way my cervix won't contract.
Thank you for your concern,
Vlada :D

Hello,
So, today was my trasfer and we have trasfered four  embryos, this makesme really nervous, but they were not the best quality. One was 4 cell with lots of fragmentation, one 7 cell with lots and lots of fragmentation, and two good ones, one 6 cell with some fragmentation and one 8 cell with little fragmentation. Now I am officially on my 2WW, very scared if all 4 are going to take, but hopefully that won't happen.
I am on sstrict bed rest for the next three days( my clinic requires that)
Thank you for your support and good luck to you guys!!!

congrats Vlada! Good luck on your 2ww! I am sure that you'll get a/some beautiful baby(ies) out of those embryos!
I find this bedrest thing very confusing. Each clinic is so different - yours requires 3 days of bedrest, mine requires none. How can there be such a drastic difference?
Relax and enjoy the down time - although I know that is easier said than done!
Kelly
How is everyone else doing? I go in for my ultrasound on Tuesday and I am anxious to confirm the date of the ET!

Hi Everyone,
I just had my u/s this morning & am anticipating a transfer date of 8/17/07. My clinic also requires 3 days of bedrest, so I'm really glad the transfer is on a Friday so it won't take up too much of my time off from work.
I've really been trying to stay calm & focused, I get so anxious every cycle & I'm wondering if that's why it hasn't worked for me yet. I've gone back to yoga & I've been meditating & listening to the Grateful Dead a lot!
This weekend has been great. We've finally got some cooler weather so we can enjoy the outdoors more. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi all.
I had u/s on friday and blood test today (sunday). It was supposed to be yesterday but I postponed it by a day so that my ET is on next Friday instead of Thursday. My RE said I could so that. Now my ET is also on 8/17...just like 2nd timer....

Vlada...you are in the 2 ww..hang in there buddy..we are right behind you...by the way 4 is a good number..at my clinic the grades dont matter ...if they can survive the thaw..they are good..i have read aboout a bfp from 2 celled embryo..

Riley...you should try to reduce or quit caffeine...its sooo worth it...it effects estrogen...mostly it increases estrogen..but u are now getting it a lot already...

I am waiting for the blood test to be the offical go for the ET....if i have not ovulated which we want then I will start my prog shots today...hey 2nd timer..whats your plan...

Hello Ladies,

Kelly, my doctor is very strict and old fashioned, he believes in strict bed rest ( by strict i mean i can only get up to go to the bathroom), but every clinic is different, my friend got pregnant on teh FET cycle and her clinic didn''t require any bed rest at all.

2ndtimer, good luck with your trasfer dates, i am so excited for you!!!

Stressball, good luck with your dates too!!!!

I know the anxiety before the trasfer, but just remember because we are all doing FET, it is soooo much easier than a fresh cycle, (i mean physically), we don't have to go through ER, stimms and all that "good" stuff. So, lets just at least try to relax a little bit and think positive!!!
